Those population reports are very misleading. I can tell you many of the students that start here are not even here by the time January comes around because they move two to three times a year depending where the veggies and fruits are to be picked...Once the main oranges are done here they leave. Can't believe they are counted as part of the population report but they are. This goes for all schools that have this same issue.

Kinda sounds like where I live, if your not in the "cliche", then you mean nothing...

Maybe the great FHSAA has something to do about this? I mean people can only watch Private Schools win just about each class championships so much...

And do you know why it has gotten out of hand? PRIVATE SCHOOLS, period. The Legislation had to give public schools something since private schools coaches can get on a jet, fly to PA, and have players parents sign a contract so the player can get a full free ride thanks in part to public monies given to private schools. So the state legislature allowed the open transfer. Again private schools and their tactics caused this mess!!!! Yes i I cannot stand whatsoever private vs public, never have, never will and I’m a huge BIBLE BELIEVING BIBLE THUMPER!!!! Private schools create an unfair playing field in every sport!!!! Private schools use to be great but once they went away education first to sports first that’s when it became evident that private vs public should be separated. If you believe in public vs private then you must also believe all divisions of college should be one not separated like it is now as in sports?

Because it was not thought out just like Obamacare which was based on lies, written by some guy who knew nothing about the subject. That’s exactly how the point system feels like. It wasn’t thought out, nobody thought of the scams or milking the system that would happen and it was brought on too fast. They should have done their homework because there are way more better point systems other states use that actually works for everyone not just the urban area and private schools. When you have 20 schools in a 5 mile radius down in Miami no wonder everyone down there has tons of points. Eitherway do away with bonus points and quit awarding teams who lose, why award for losses? Just adjust the numbers downward and don’t award for loss. This will stop teams from milking the system. Quit giving out participation trophies which were started by liberals because kids don’t learn a darn thing by doing that. And when I say participation trophies I mean points for losses. There was was nothing wrong with the previous system whatsoever, it worked fine. Some folks can’t stand when something worked fine, some joker always thinks they have a better sytem but they only used the same system used from another state. Last I’m curious how many ppl would love to see this on Florida’s ballot in two years? And before you say we can’t change it CHF remember FHSAA was created by a law so anything FHSAA enacts can be changed by the voters!!!! I’m really thinking of starting a website to get signatures for this and to also force FHSAA to separate private vs public!!!! And it will show evidence why there’s needs to be a separation!!!! Once the public folks/parents see the truth about private schools I’m sure they will vote to separate them!!!!

So you really believe a 10-0 team should travel to a 8-2 or 7-3 team? That’s insane!!! Yea let’s milk the sytem!! That’s exactly going to happen!! In reality better records teams should have home field period, they’ve done what FHSAA has asked!! Btw some districts can’t do much when an opponent doesn’t make up a game or teams in the districts are weak!!!! Your logic of playing stronger schedule is weak.

I’m already looking to move to Tennessee. I cannot stand Florida, was born here and raised here but to see how they treat public schools vs private and how low they pay teachers and many other specialties no wonder ppl leave and never come back!! Ppl do not think before they vote just like the amendment 3 that was passed do they realize in two years these jokers will have on the ballot to have gambling here ? More drugs more prostitution on its way!!!!

Why go by seeding in the state semifinals when the sytem has shown it can be milked. Go with Cat 1 wins or better yet look at each teams PA or PF like other leagues use as part of their playoff structure. Just leave it like it was. Once again no fair playing field if every year state semifinals are located in one region every year!!!

i was reading over the State Semifinals Rule……… Very very stupid FHSAA!!!! They put in there that the home team is team with the highest regular season points not the team with the higher seeding but fir regionals its the team with the higher seeding!!!!! Sorry but if a 5 seed is home over a 1 or even 2 seed of the other region then thats got to be the stupidest rule!!!! Im sorry but a seed 5 should NEVER be home to a seed 1,2, 3 or 4 seed ever… They should have stuck with changing home team like before!!! Just curious whenever schools voted for these rules were they allowed to vote per classification or as a whole? I keep hearing ALL schools voted for this or that. It should be done by classification because 5A may want changing semi finals every other year while 6A may want to say Higher seed gets home field no matter what and 7A may like the current… If FHSAA can give participation trophies to 4A and below why cant they allow difference in certain things between the classes during the playoffs? Region 4 in 5A and above can milk the sytem to get home games every semifinal game!!! Stupid rules are going to run off many many long term fans!!!

TCA barely beat a BR team who I know for a fact a few 5A South teams would destroy!! Thats a fact not an opinion…Dont count your eggs before they hatch you will end up eating crow!!! Ive watched that game a few times… TCA hasnt seen the best defense in 5A just yet… Bring the popcorn because its going to be a show!!!!

this is a tough one as tbe only comparable team is Kathleen… Sebring is huge very huge all around but I dont kniw what Vanguard looks like… Sebring played Hardee and Hardee had to overcome all kinds of stuff/issues this night in order to come out with the win…It was Hardees off night of the season if i look back and most teams as off nights…Also this was Sebrings 1st game of the season as their classic was cancelled as was their 1st game, so they were pumped up noinjuries… I would not take Sebring lightly, they can wreak havoc but it just depends on how well their defense is playing…

So you don’t think the Superintendents have much weight? Our school district is 2 million in the hole because our great one and done Superintendent messed up his budget. Now what I’m not happy with is the same district has 22 million in a bank drawing interest. That 22 million is leftover from previous budgets. The districts do not have to return the money so they all deposit it into an account. So how are we 2 million over budget is beyond me. The biggest problem started when teachers quit teaching and the districts now allow computers to teach. There’s no interaction between a computer and a child!!! But im still not keen on saying legislation is the issue. I will say though the previous federal leadership messed a lot up along with the previous one before him!!! you said state caused kids to leave the public schools. No private schools did that by offering free tuition or tuition the parent can pay for by working for them. In other words coaches goes to players home and they sign contracts aka recruit!!! FHSAA says “It’s outta our hands”. I still have the email.

It starts at the home quit blaming public schools!!! Parents tend to do nothing to help their own children and before you say I’m wrong then I guess my young daughters teacher is a liar? Kids come to school and tells the teachers their parents won’t help them with their homework.

What did system get right, you ask? Shows how really dumb FHSAA really is and how they need to go, be disbanded because they are NOT creating a FAIR playing field everywhere!!! C'mon schools start your own leagues, they cannot stop you whatsoever!!! FHSAA is in place by a statute, thats all but its FHSAA that has allowed all the crap, loophole recruiting, WINLESS teams in the playoffs, and much more but they say "Its outta our hands"!!! That is nothing but pure dogcrap with whip cream on top. Did Josh come up with this point system and submitted it to FHSAA? I want to know who did this?

Maxpreps and Pinkos is like college AP poll they don’t say much nor mean much in my book but some folks loves them so I have to respect it but not like it.

I never really cared about maxpreps nor Pinkos in years. You cannot use a point spread to suggest a team will or should win by this many points when in fact environmental issues arise and even injuries. This is not the NFL or College where they have the luxury of having 5 QBs on the roster. This is HS football so every public school mostly is limited.

Been saying it all year the point sytem is flawed. Does anybody know who suggested this point sytem in the first place? If it was someone at FHSAA they need to be fired!!!!

Who came up or suggested this stupid point sytem rule? How come the schools did not ADD to the policy that a team must have so many wins in order to qualify for the playoffs and if they don’t the next team gets in!! Milking the system is what will be the norm. Oh yea let’s let them in as a participation trophy!!!!
