How good is Glades Central supposed to be this season? I saw them play against Booker T Washington and they were solid. Glad they have those games on the schedule.

You're right, I agree on that.

I know it's not a new thing, but Florida isn't helping itself with the quality of coaches, especially when states like Georgia, Alabama, etc pay so much more in salary and stipends. Not every coach obviously, there's good coaches in the state. But it says something to me.

Per FootballScoop: Former Hialeah Gardens head coach Joe Harrington joined Matt Helmerich up in Georgia at John's Creek. Not sure if Harrington was HG's head coach last season.

Just gotta win as many of the other 9 games as you can and hope that other teams in the region slip up if you're Ely. On paper, expect the 7A Region 4 district champs to be: Dwyer, STA, McArthur & Mater The next teams that can possibly win those districts or take one of the 4 at large spots in the region are: Palm Beach Lakes, Ely, Cooper City, South Broward, Doral Academy, Fort Lauderdale, Royal Palm Beach, Goleman. All depends on how you and your opponents do. But not a stacked region by any means in my opinion.

What was up with their last coach? David Reese wants to leave because of him supposedly and he left the football account at $0. I don't know much about him other than he was at STA, but those aren't good things from while he as at FPC.

I agree. I think they should play a marquee Dade County team in addition to St John Bosco. And add an elite team from another part of the state. Schedule doesn't do much for me at all.

I wonder what it was about the old coach.

I dont think 1-22 at West Orange will be affected too bad. But 23-however many they carry will hurt. Depth in the lower part of the roster

They're not in a particularly strong district (American, NMB, North Miami, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens) and they've won 9 games the past 3 seasons. Looks like they've improved but are no better than average right now.
