Judging by the look of Bolles teams over the past 5 years, they have had vastly less talent than in the past. I think them getting any athlete in is not a reality.
-
I have no idea but they are a similar type of kid. Upper class.

Just saw on Twitter that Matt Toblin has left Ponte Vedra and is going to Bolles. Lots of coaching movement in Northeast Florida. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more talk.

Suspended indefinitely. Sounds like an incident with a coach or player. Haven’t heard anymore than that.

I’d switch TCA and Columbia
-
MNW should throttle them but it’ll be a good game

I won...nbd

I may go to the game in Folkston. They’ve got a great southern buffet there

Hey does anyone have the updated population reports in order

I have it done -
I got out of coaching when I got out because of the changing attitude in school administrations. My wife loved me coaching and wants me to get back into it. Not a chance, especially with the transfer anywhere epidemic.

Transfers Are Really a Dade/Broward County Problem
Jags904 replied to OldSchoolLion's topic in The Huddle
Absolutely. Say an average player is replaced by a good player and that were to happen at 12 positions. This is happening all over the state, not necessarily 12 transfer starters but let’s say 8. Imagine upgrading 8 positions on a team. You are a far different team. -

Bingo. If you get 12 good quality HS football players to transfer in a year, then you should be making a deep run. Imagine if just your average HS football team got 2 good HS OL. Not D1 guys either, just two reliable players. Nothing else could change and I guarantee that team goes from a 5-5 team to a 7-3 or 8-2 team. Now imagine adding the same thing with a QB & RB, two more WR’s, two more DL, two more LB’s & 2 DB’s. That’s a team that may win a state title. -
Venice will have to have 6-8 impact transfers in order to handle the schedule they will play

Keshawn King was originally at TCA -
Just saying my thoughts on the issues with the program. It really could be a great job with a patient administration. Tons of great athletes, big time football culture, and a very solid alumni base. Just gonna take the right guy to get it back to where it belongs
-
TCA didn’t go independent to rebuild...they started allowing kids to be homeschooled and play for them as well as hiring certain assistant coaches

Trinity vs IMG Raines vs Bartram Trail

The Muck has become a hard place to coach for a number of reasons: 1) small town bs politics. I had a buddy who applied for some jobs down there but he didn’t have the “right” resume. The dude coached at the D1 level and at a state championship winning program! But he wasn’t from around the there 2) lack of resources. Not only is the area poor but you aren’t around a lot of money like in the urban areas 3) tough administrations. It’s state championship or bust in 2 years, you can’t take the time to install your culture or anything...you gotta win immediately.

IMG wins but it’ll be a good game. TCA plays IMG as well

Upper Class Reclass Biggest Winners/Losers & Strongest/Weakest Regions

If Columbia isn’t playing for a state title next year, I would have to view it as a disappointment. -
That’s how St Johns County & Clay are as well. Duval has found success with the magnet only school model though

Of course there are issues (as is to be expected) but this was a very solid job by the FHSAA. I think we will see some more lopsided scores (4A for instance, nobody will be able to go with Carol City) but on the whole, we have more equal classifications. 8A north got better, 7A south got better, 6A north got better, and 4A north got better. Excited for the upcoming season, hope everybody is back to work.

The school is becoming an IB/magnet school. Therefore, they are reducing the size of the school and kids who can’t make the grades are being forced to go elsewhere. I have already seen the student demographics change.
