    • Having been to Bryant Stadium probably 50 times in my life.  I’m pretty familiar with it.  To be honest with you that area of the stadium is verbally very rough on Lakeland players, coaches and the visiting team.  I attended the spring game this year when they played Jesuit.  I left right before halftime.  There was a jamboree that started at 11AM before the spring game.  My body was telling me to go home.  The first half had a minute or two remaining.  The fans in that section were yelling pretty vile things at the Lakeland QB who had transferred in over the summer.  These were things that shouldn’t be said to a high school football player by adults.   It was pretty disgusting so when I saw what occurred Friday night it did not shock me. I don’t know what really happened. I just know what I saw from two videos. Police security on the field was lacking and it was certainly lacking where the incidents off the field occurred.
    • Gaither won the off-the-field battle
    • Obviously I was not there but I could only guess that this was a continuation of on the field antics that spilled over with some fans jawing Gaither players with emotions running high.  No arrests were made that I'm aware of.
    • The video of the Gaither @ Lakeland highlights where the Gaither players were exiting the field at Bryant Stadium.  It is hard to tell what is happening but it appears that some Gaither players are fighting some fans.  I would assume these were Lakeland fans.  Was anyone there that actually witnessed this?  Do you know what and why it happened?  I’m not referring to the incidents on the field after the game.  I would like to know what happened with the fans and the Gaither players getting into it.  Does anybody know?
    • Agreed. At least in spirit even if open transfers are now allowed.  In a perfect world, we would have four large public school classes where everybody has to stick to their boundaries. Unfortunately, our corruption as a society has trickled down all the way through Sports. Most evident to me “college” football, which is now completely ruined.
