Well I'll be at this one first time since 2021 the osceola kowboys come to Hillsborough county when they played Newsome back in 2021 tough test for yall the hawks have alot of offensive playmakers as I've seen em 8 times (gaither sumner tech Durant first plant game wharton riverview and the second plant game) best team they've had since 2019 and they can beat you in many different ways (ask norland how that turned out)
It helps that their offensive strengths play into Osceola's defensive strengths. If I were not coming back from Atlanta Friday, I would make the trip down I-4. But I probably won't get home till around 5pm and I will be tired. So, I will probably make it to either Lake Mary or Dr. Phillips instead.
It will be just as daunting for them as it is for us, so I view it as a 50/50 game regardless of these rankings so I like our chances. Outside of Tampa Bay Tech and Tampa Plant, their schedule hasn't been that challenging as reflected in their SOS on both the FHSAA calculation as well as the MaxPrep one. We'll see.
This will be one of many great games Florida HS football fans will choose to attend on Friday. Expect a great game between two evenly matched teams particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Two of the top RB's in the entire state faceoff in Pringle and Swint. Yes, I know a Plant RB is ranked higher on On3 than Swint but by not a tenth of a point but by 100th of a point which really is nonsensical as Swint has gained almost 1400 yards this year used sparingly to save him for the playoffs while Waltez Clark has a total of 400 yards in the same 11 games. Regardless, it is strength against strength in the running game and though their QB has put up some good numbers, he doesn't appear to be much of a running threat or possess that escape ability factor other QB's we have faced possessed. Can't speak for what Armwood thought would happen this season, but we definitely expected to see them. GO KOWBOYS!!
