  2. I’m not saying it doesn’t occur. What I am saying is that everything is case by case so if you are accusing a specific coach/team of cheating, I would at least like to see the evidence of the accusation. Because if you don’t then you are basically defaming them with gossip
  3. Are you saying illegal recruiting does not occur in Florida ? Wake up and take your blinders off
  4. Dang shame. Wonder what it was about. Wonder if the principle was meddling out of his element. There was a story near me about Land O Lakes High. Before the season, 2 freshman were slap boxing and other kids were filming it. One kid was obviously winning over the other with the kids in the background cheering it on. So when it got leaked, it was interpreted as hazing. As if all the kids in the background were sanctioning it. Without one second of investigation the principal shut the entire football program down. Varsity season cancelled over 2 freshman slap boxing. It caused a shit storm. Local news swarmed the school. Parents outraged. Protesting outside the office demanding the principal be fired. They finally asked some quick questions and it was determined to be exactly what it was originally said it was. Football was reinstated but JV missed the first game over it. The principal was some punk pencil neck who looks like he never played a sport in his life and many people came out and said he had it out for the football program and he was the same way at his old school. I say all that to say is this a similar case of some pencil neck principal who never played sports trying to undermine and butt in to something that they are way out their element on?
  5. Word is, Coach Banks the former head coach was escorted off campus last week after a heated discussion with the principle. from what i have been told this stems from banks talking to the paper about the program.
  6. Yesterday
  7. They definitely would have been competitive. They had a really good and really young OL coming back. They also had settled into a pattern of getting plenty of transfers.
  8. I have a question for all of you guys. Before all the turmoil happened with Lake Minneola were they even going to be competitive this year
  9. And just wait until NIL is enacted at the high school level.
  10. Last week
  11. You right. Down year or not if Ice has anything to do with it Booker T. ain't running from nobody
  12. This is theoretically the answer but it will never work.
  13. Theoretically -- great. Just have to get around those pesky school choice/school voucher state laws.
  14. Yeah, I think seeing the game disappear from maxpreps caused me to overreact. I know the Tornadoes are coming and they're coming to win. I just hope we don't let 'em
  15. Ok I was gonna say. I had talked to my lil brother & he said they was still heading up there despite rumors. Good stuff, the T aint ducking no smoke
  16. Idea: make recruiting legal for all schools AND enforce a full year of sitting out for transfers. So, you can recruit the middle school kids-ok, the parents- all you want. But, transfers aren't worth sweating over because they'll have to sit a year out, effectively ending senior year transfers.
  17. shocking if true. Just goes to show you that, in an era of unlimited transferring with instant eligibility, ANY program could go from great to awful- and vice versa- in the blink of an eye. There almost aren't any real PROGRAMS left. No one is sticking around long enough to be developed in the specific ways of a program. It's terribly sad.
  18. Football isn't the kind of sport where you can just walk the halls and assemble a team. You can get a couple decent kids maximum that way. The rest of the student body would be putting their health at risk if they decided to "go out" for football.
  19. When you right you right fam. At the end of the day. Anybody in dade, broward or palm beach know bout Dillard and know we don’t duck no team home or away. We down to line up any day. but none of that puts points on the score board or guarantee victory. You can be ready and confident all you want, but if your team doesn’t have the personnel to match a national power house who gets in loads of transfers year and year out, 9/10 that score is going to be fairly lopsided. and as much as I bleed Dillard day and night, and as much as it pains me to say. Dillard is not in Miami central, norland, sta, or chaminades league going into the this upcoming season. Let them beat up on each other. I believe this is a perfect schedule for Dillard if they’re atleast still an above avg program they should win this district with ease and have no more then 2 loses this year. if not and they struggle even with this schedule then Dillard as a program is most def going backwards and I would hate that for my Alma mater.
  20. I agree with you on everything you said. Why play these powerhouses and get the butt kicked out of you. Yes you're not running away from good opponents, however what does a 63-0 loss due to the morale of a bunch of young men.
  21. Welcome to the new wonderful wild west of high school football in Florida. We need to create a new position at each school. Recruiting coordinator. Because that is the only way to win big in this state now at the highest levels. The haves can turn into have not by losing one cheater coach.
  22. There are zero coaches on campus, every single coach left
  23. There is 1,750 kids in the school. That would be their fault if they can’t field a team of 40-50 players. I know it sucks about the mass exodus. I get it. But even though they won’t be competitive for the time being they should at least have enough varsity players returning, JV kids, and newcomers to field a team. They should have had an assist at coach resume spring workouts, and maybe got in on a jamboree with lesser teams or held an inter squad scrimmage. But to cancel everything seems a bit erratic
  24. From 2018-2021 when Dillard was one of the top 5 teams in broward we got there because on the beginning we schedule within our actual talent on the field, we showed success that we are atleast a avg program being able to take care of business against avg and below avg teams. And with the right personnel we can become above avg and actually contend. and with that came a undefeated regular season in 2019 with a regional final birth, a undefeated COVID season in 2020 and a Fri county championship and a 1 loss season in 2021 and a second round exit on the road to homestead. dillard has to get back to that. But scheduling central, chaminade , sta and etc of back dropping each game by 40 is not gonna help the program. you can say “aye atleast we scheduled them we didn’t back down” like I’ve said several times on here lol. but there’s no moral victories in football. You either won or you lost.
  25. I wouldn’t say okay with it because wether they was on the schedule or not I’m bleeding blue & gray all day ready for smoke with which ever team were lining up across. but as a former player & coach I also understand that when you’re a second year head coach taking over a program that haven’t seen a deep playoff run since 2019 and over the last 5 years they’ve played chaminade 5 times (0-5), norland once (1-0) Central once (0-1) gibbons once (0-1) & on top of that you have a mass exodus of players after the coach before you left ; you have to build your program back up to a contending program before you try to schedule the big dogs of south Florida. for EX: last year Dillard at STA, GIBBONS & chaminade on the schedule went (0-3) and each lost was by over 20+ the sta loss was 58-0. But those games had to be played because of the last year of the contract.
