  1. You clearly know very little about Armwood. Ford, McNeal, Collins, snead and Black all played. So they were missing 1 WR, an OL, and a DL. Their important skill was there, trust me.
  2. Lakeland last year was not a good team. Neither was Plant. Much different team this year. Also, Lakeland comes to Plant this year. Lakeland got destroyed by Carol City, who is very good despite their record, but I don't think this one of Lakeland's better squads. Viera has ballers but are they a one-hit wonder?
  3. So did Snead, so did Erin Collins, etc. Their best player is QB Devin Black. Kid is stud. Plant has a very solid team this year as well, with multiple weapons and a very good HS level QB. Not big, but very strong and pretty fast. Good looking TB in #15 Ty Thompson (6'1 200), and bevy of good receivers in Whop Philyor, Juwan Burgess (USC commit), Cam Watson, and 6'6 250 lb TE Judge Culpepper.
  4. Bunch of misinformed people. Armwood is loaded with D1s. Plant has its share as well. Two excellent football teams with good schemes and hard hitting defenses. Excellent game. Plant should roll through the North this year but will have an issue with St. Thomas, obviously. And Armwood was missing 1 receiver. McNeal played.
  5. This game will be a brutal route. Not sure IMG will want to completely kick them to sleep and bury them up to their neck in dirt, because they may be saving something for tougher opponents down the road. Also if they beat every Florida team to sleep that they play, nobody will want to schedule them. I'm thinking they're going to lay off at about 42 to nothing
  6. Good job! Plant had a few big 10 titles, as well.
  7. Not sure that's accurate Peez. Plants been playing for a long time, almost as long as Lakeland. They both have lots of championships. Plants got Big Ten championships from way back in the day. If you don't know what that is you have to research it. I'd like to know how many Big Ten championships Lakeland had, if any. Steve could tell us. When he gets time.
  8. DP is an excellent team and tbey are over due. They are snake bitten like the 70s Raiders. Their time will come.
  9. And thats a pretty dumb poll if you are only going look at all time wins.
  10. Lakeland also has several more seasons under its belt. Plant started 1927.
  11. Because Armwood is an athletic machine this year. They are Underachievers, but they are still physically dominating.
  12. Now all that said, if Armwood beats them up really good this weekend bangs up some of their players, they may not recover.
  13. If we look at the history of the series Lakeland has a one-game edge. Despite the fact that plant was completely terrible from the mid-eighties until 2004. But Lakeland does have a few more state championships. However this year I think plant has a slight Edge. Juwan Burgess should be able to neutralize the big receiver for Lakeland. Plants defense will be at least as good as last year if not better despite having lost lots of defensive linemen. Plants offensive line is not quite as good as last year but they have a lot more weapons and much more experience at quarterback.
  14. If they have to move and you want them centrally located, then send them to Tropicana Field, Spec Martin, or Daytona. If, as others have suggested, you want the biggest crowds, move them to FAU or FIU, since most Champs will be from S. Fla.
  15. It is really fantastic. I appreciate the scoreboard feature as well, since our local paper refuses to run statewide scores anymore.
  16. Okay then kudos to plant for beating the best BC team since 2004
  17. Daytona or Deland is plenty big for state games in lower classes
  18. This would be a match up I would love to watch. Two Quality programs and two areas that really care about high school football
  19. Jessica, the game would have been closer if Bergen had to travel but BC still wins. Better coaching, better system, better lines. TC has not and will not be a nationally elite program. They should stay out of tnese games. We have no national programs left in the TB area. Even Plant and Armwood would now get manhandled by top 50 type programs.
  20. http://forum.nationalhsfootball.com/index.php?showtopic=21838 31-0 at the half.
  21. Apopka. Better coaching. Better system. Talent about even.
  22. It will be a helluva lot worse than 35-17. You're talking about a team that hasn't been able to beat Jesuit in the last 15 years. They are playing a team that plays in the hardest league in the United States and beats team that would dismantle Jesuit. Teams like Don Bosco, Paramus Catholic, St. Peters, and St. Joes. TC cant touch a team like Cocoa or TCA, so they wont get close to Bergen. Hell, Plants 2011 state champs barely beat a Bergen team that was mediocre by their standards.
