DisabledAccount got a reaction from PinellasFB in 2S district 8
Every team in the district is terrible so a bad team was going to the playoffs no matter what
But could you imagine how bad it would be if TWO teams from this district were guaranteed a playoff spot

DisabledAccount got a reaction from Ray Icaza in FINAL DILLARD 35 LINCOLN 10
Lincoln isn't even that country
Much different vibe at Madison or Columbia

Welp I did tell people up here in Lake City the last few weeks Dillard would beat Lincoln and now I wonder if any Lincoln players could face suspension heading into the postseason

All the more reason to have wild cards and not give someone a playoff spot by virtue of being the second best team in one of the worst districts in the state of Florida classification era

Until the Suwannee game I thought Madison was just a victim of overscheduling but that loss showed just how down Madison actually is this year

Well they could do 6 classes with the current format
Merge 1S and 1R together
Turn 2,3 and 4S info 2 classes combined
Take 1-4M and merge into 3 total classes
So then it's 3 suburban/rural classes and 3 metro for 6 total and less classes can make larger districts and maybe even going to 3 districts per region would help
-
DisabledAccount got a reaction from DarterBlue2 in 3M (PLAYOFF PAIRINGS)
No they changed it this year badbird
District champs would host a wild card round 1 if seeded against them but it's possible for 2 district champs to be seeded against each other
For example say Dillard is #2 in region, they face #7 seed, if that #7 seed in round 1 is a district champ they would travel, If it's a wild card then Dillard would host
So if Ely was the #7 seed but district champ they would travel round 1 but after round 1 it's highest seed overall hosting
If they get wild card Piper at #7 for example than Dillard would host Piper round 1

DisabledAccount got a reaction from Ray Icaza in Disappointing 2022 teams
There were plenty of times with those 8 or 9 team Tampa districts that only 1 team in the entire district was a top 150 team
Larger districts don't mean it's automatically better

FSU could actually beat overrated LSU unlike Florida
And Florida could barely beat lowly USF, FSU gonna kill the gators

DisabledAccount got a reaction from THIS_IS_DILLARD in Nolebull’s top 25
Plantation is solid but they aren't as good as BTW
Though it is possible Dillard could be better than MNW but we won't know because they don't play
I do think I had MNW and Dillard closest to their actual position in the preseason while some polls either had Dillard too low or MNW WAY TOO HIGH

FSU should be better but they are playing better than Miami and Florida are
The gators peaked week 1 against Utah and have played like garbage ever since and Miami lost to mid Tennessee and Duke
FSU gonna beat Miami and the gators this year

Maybe they still pissed from us running clocking them at Gene Cox in the 2015 playoffs since that was the last season that Lincoln played Columbia in a regular season contest
Lincoln barely plays Columbia in any sports lately unless they shared a district which has been rare as of late and even when they do they only play some of those seasons since football is only sport where playing district is mandatory. Columbia shared a district in basketball and usually soccer and will share district in baseball and softball but it remains to be seen what sports they end up playing in

Oh I'm aware
Columbia has been in the same boat which is why they have yearly series with teams like Madison and TCA

DisabledAccount got a reaction from KeemD321 in Lake City Columbia 2022 Season Preview (more to come in August)
Your prediction was on the money unlike @nolebull813 who predicted 4-5 and missing the playoffs
why did you initially pick DeLand before the season anyway? I personally think DeLand is a bit better than people think but it was a weird choice for a loss as Columbia typically beats teams at the level of DeLand and probably beats Union if they don't have 4 turnovers

Columbia goes to 5-3 on the season heading into their regular season finale against Ridgeview with a 35-22 win over Gadsden County (Gadsden scored the last TD in final minute against Columbia backup defense)
The offense needs to come out more aggressive in the playoffs but I like how the defense is playing right now including forcing 5 turnovers last night. So far this season Columbia is unbeaten at home and undefeated when winning the turnover margin
