  1. Columbia vs Pine Forest

PF is good to an extent, I just don't expect them to make it too deep in the playoffs. A lot of speed on the offensive side of the ball but the qb and offensive line are inconsistent. Defensively they're undersized but a solid group. I expect Columbia to win but I'm hoping Pine Forest at least keeps it close.
  2. Crestview doesn't have any height. They beat Choctaw tho who had 8 players that were 6'4 and up. Choctaw was the team to beat in the area and their schedule reflected that.
  3. Lol we don't get many championships up this way so i got to
  4. Crestview schedule wasn't all that great but somehow they beat the runner ups from last year (choctaw) twice, who did play a tough ish schedule. I hope crestview pulls it out, the panhandle could sure use a basketball champion.
  5. 6A Region 1 Playoff Picture

It should be very competitive but all roads leads to whoever makes it out of Miami. I'm not sure if any of these teams can hang with Armwood and Vanguard.
  6. Class 6A through first week of October

I just don't see no one beating whoever comes out of Miami and until then everybody else is irrelevant. We never know how good Vanguard, St. Augustine and Armwood really are until the playoffs. Lake Gibson 3-4 this year so they look down.
  7. Class 6A through first week of October

Outside of Miami, everybody else is irrelevant. The panhandle got talent but it's just spread out. I don't know what to make of Crestview yet. They looked really good last year until they lost to Gulf Breeze. Everybody else is pretty much on the same level. Escambia seems like they're peaking but I don't think they're a threat to make it to the semis at this time.
  8. Niceville??

Their best playmaker got injured early in that game against Pine Forest but I'm not sure if he played after that game. Hard to say what exactly happened but none of those games were bad losses. All the panhandle teams were pretty even...West Florida, Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Niceville, Escambia, Pine Forest and Tate.
  9. Niceville @ Crestview...

I agree, Juanyeh Thomas would of made a big difference for Niceville. He's no Eli Stove or Roy Finch but he's not far off. The kid can flat out play ball.
  10. Northwest Florida Football

If Choctaw could score 40 on Crestview, I'm sure niceville won't have a problem scoring 60. I'm interested to see if either defense can stop the offense from scoring. Michael Carter is good but Navarre didn't look all that good Friday night. Like I said, there's a huge gap between Niceville and everybody else.
  11. OT: Miami vs Florida state

An extra point blocked...damn that one hurt!
  12. Northwest Florida Football

I think it's a big gap between Niceville and everybody else. Hard to say how good Crestview is due to their schedule. The offense looks great, defense suspect.
  13. Pine Forest loses to Escambia 0 -35?

That score is correct. Injuries and expulsions have done this team in. Starting qb got hurt first game and has been struggling to stay on the field since then. One of the starting running backs is out with a shoulder injury and another got expelled week 3. They had a couple more underclassmen get expelled. The talent is there but the coaching is definitely not up to par.
  14. Week 6 scores

I had high hopes for Pine Forest...talent there...coaching, discipline and team work is not.
  15. Gulf Breeze

Pollard is not the same coach that won those state championships. That info comes from former players and coaches. He's like Bobby Bowden was in his last years with FSU. He doesn't really coach these boys, I've never seen or heard of a PF team that could actually defend the pass. How in all these years with the talent they've had do they struggle so bad against the pass. When you're running a 4-4 defense against a pass happy offense, that's not good. They refuse to come out that defense for some reason instead of playing 2 safeties. Pollard does not trust his assistants with the offense. This team should be scoring 35 ppg easy.
  16. Gulf Breeze

It was a good game but PF coaching is just really suspect. PF had 4 starters out on defense and one of their play makers on offense is done for the season. The talent is definitely there but the coaching is keeping this team from reaching its full potential. I still think PF is one of the best teams in the area. Navarre struggled with Choctaw and PF beat Choctaw pretty easy so there still in the mix.
  17. The Okaloosa round up week 1!

Pine Forest beat Pensacola 33-12. The final score doesn't reflect how close the game ended up being. Reason being the starting qb was out with an ankle injury middle of 2nd quarter and couple of their running backs were banged up.
  18. 6A Region 4 Preseason

2015: I think we can all agree Trinity Christian was top 5 in Florida last year. TC 42 West Orange 14. TC 32 Pine Forest 22. I don't know the specifics of the West Orange game but after watching the PF game, Pf had a legit chance of pulling the upset. 2016: I hate to speak early on Pine Forest but this team looks great on paper. Their secondary has question marks but every thing else looks good to great. The offense is loaded with "South Florida" speed. I'm talking legit 4.4 and 4.5's. The O-line has nice size. Not small like a Cocoa but not huge like Aquinas. The D-line has good size with a good combo of speed. The linebackers are on the average size but have decent speed. The secondary is a huge question mark. I've never seen a PF team that could defend the pass all that good and I'm not expecting anything different this year at the moment. I feel better about the secondary if their D1 headliner Jacob Copeland is at safety at least. The team is not loaded with D1 prospects like other teams in the state but they have plenty of players that should play at the next level. On paper, PF should not have problems with Niceville or Navarre but those teams can throw and that's a problem for PF. I really wish most of the talent in Pensacola would go to 1 or 2 schools and do some special things.
  19. Panhandle top 10

I expect Pine Forest to make a deep run this year. Out of PF, Navarre, Niceville and Escambia, I think PF is better equipped to give Armwood a game in round 4. Team is loaded with legit speed on offense. If their secondary can play better than previous year's, they should be perfectly fine. Tate got completely manhandled in the spring game by PF, so I don't expect much out of them. They have a couple of prospects but this team lost too much to contend. I'm not sure what to make of Escambia yet. If their offense goes to a spread, they will give PF all kinds of trouble. Their defense has nice size but that side of the ball lost some good players.
