    Since this tread has already been highjacked, I'LL give my opinion on 2016 Mainland/Central. First off no ordinary fan on the planet has watched more Mainland football then myself. Darter and I have seen all of MC's title games. He also knows Mainland very well. I agree 90% with what he and MC Rocket have said above about a possible Buc/Rocket 2016 rematch. 2016 Mainland has the strongest passing game they have EVER had. A half dozen guys can catch the ball, and do. The RB is a strong, tough north/south runner with average speed. Both O & D lines are young and not as strong as years past " At this stage", but are improving. LB'er are solid but at times gamble. Corners are good, but don't get much help up top. Safely is D-1. Kicking game average at best. Return team is very dangerous. Cocoa game will peg Mainland's true strengths and deficiencies. They play real "D", smash mouth offense. Can Mainland beat Central? Sure they can. Will they? Don't know that. Last year's loss to MC was the biggest beatdown of the 5 games between the two In a physical sense. In 2011 the teams were equal. 2013 I think ( or was it 2014 ) Mainland was the better team. This would be the 6th game since 2009 between the teams. Mainland has never beat them. Not many teams have since then.

    DP looked flat from the get go. Mainland jumped on them and never let up. Along the way the Bucs had their most effective rushing attack in years. Most diffently the better team won tonight just like last year. Heads up Panthers. Nothing to be ashamed of DP. You played one of the better programs in Florida. Good luck in 8A.

    This is the key game of the year for DP.  They showed they can play with the level of Apopka who is really strong team this year. Mainland has a great program and DP will be their first test. DP is the strongest I have seen since 2010.  I am not worried about the defense they are playing lights out,  Offensive keys to the game are same as I stated for the Apopka game. If the O line plays well DP will win this game. Our skilled guys are impressive and are posed for a break out game. I am predicting DP by 14.

    DP by 14? And what is Santa bringing you for Christmas this year?

    Come on over Darter. I got the Bucs by a minimum of 20. Some might call that delusions of grandeur; or the ramblings of an old has-been. Pick one or formulate another. Darter call up your boy Mid/Pipe Dreams. Chicken wings on me Houligan's on ISB (next to Outback ) across the street from the Volusia Mall. 4:00

    Hey Dan. How's it going in Daytona? Tell us how Mainland is going to do this year and what we have to look forward to.

     

    ProSet,all is well, thanks. Mainland has reloaded and is still being lead by the best QB in its nearly 100yr history. Sr Denzel Houston can do it all. Both O & D-lines are young and it might take a short while to get up to speed. With Bartram Trail, Cocoa, and Dr Philips scheduled early they'll be ready come Miami Central/ Carol City time. Kicking game looks solid.
