Brendan Johnson got a reaction from nolebull813 in I have returned
I’m Brendan, I signed up in high school but was off for a long time. Mostly because of my twitter brand I started in 2018 but I live and represent Jacksonville. My twitter brand covers multiple regions in North Florida.

Brendan Johnson reacted to DisabledAccount in 2021 Toughest Districts?
Best 6a district is probably the one with mainland, Lake Minneola and Jones which is 3 teams in the top 50 in Florida
Also 1a 3 has Dixie and Union County but the rest won't be much to right home about, Fort White will be lucky to win 3 games now that their QB bailed

Brendan Johnson reacted to Jullian in 2021 Toughest Districts?
Was about to post 3a today. Hands down Region 3 the most competitive.
2a I agree with your choice also. Lotta state championships in that region, although I’d b surprised if any team comes close to TC.
LIVING in So Flo, I love keeping up with 1a but Pahokee is about our only representative, & they’re usually pretty good.

Brendan Johnson reacted to badbird in Thank you Gadsden
you might have went 0-9 but hopefully you blew this point system up. I hope the FHSAA does some real research and makes some major changes to the system. Not just have a meeting and raise points for losses because a few AD's want that and think it will help. They tried to make sure a BTW didn't happen again last year and now they have egg on their face with Gadsden. Congrats Gadsden you might not have won on the field but you beat the hell out of the FHSAA. I think you put a running clock on them.

Brendan Johnson reacted to Proseteye in Duval county response to raines-lee shooting
It's difficult enough now for parents and fans to get to the games by 7:30 PM due to work or studies. How are they going to get to games by 5:30 PM? The reason, I believe, that games in Florida are played evenings instead of on Saturday afternoons, as they do in many of the northern states, it's due to the heat. Moving the game times is giving in to the thugs. You don't give in, you stop the thugs. Whatever it takes to stop the thugs you do it, period.

It won't help
This is just a action that will keep people busy but it will happen again because this was taking no real action
Moving kickoff times does nothing

@badbird
I wasnt referring to anything political
I'm referring to the fact that instead of being willing to spend money to make things safer the people in power try to make excuses so they can take the cheap option instead of the right one

Brendan Johnson reacted to DisabledAccount in Duval county response to raines-lee shooting
Can someone please explain to me what moving game times will accomplish if you don't have better police presence outside the stadiums
This is just a diversion attempt to avoid putting more resources into law enforcement presence being increased at and around public events
When will these decision makers realize that moving a few kickoff times Does nothing to fix the issues

Brendan Johnson reacted to DisabledAccount in District and Region Predictions
5A looks very good
I would have Cardinal Gibbons over AHP but the rest look right
Considering the question marks at ribault right now Suwannee might actually win that district
-
Brendan Johnson reacted to DisabledAccount in District and Region Predictions
Outside of that the 6a picks aren't that bad
I have a few different ones but they were toss ups in my opinion
I have Escambia over Tate
Crestview over niceville
And miami Carol City over Miami Central
But those are toss ups

Brendan Johnson reacted to DisabledAccount in District and Region Predictions
Not a perfect list but not horrible either
Most of those look right, i would personally switch a few but looks good
I'll look into 8a tomorrow but I'll start with 7a now
I personally like Buchholz or Fleming Island in d3, Bartram Trail will take a step back. I see them as playoff team but as a wild card
Viera isn't as strong as last year but should be able to win their District
I see Tampa Bay Tech winning d9
And Doral Academy would have been good pick a few months ago but they probably won't make .500 with how much they lost
The rest look right though
I'll comment on 8a after doing some more research

Brendan Johnson reacted to OldSchoolLion in Duval County Coaches-Who Is Where & How Long?
Duval County Coaches
24%(5/21) of the coaches below are new.
43%(9/21) have been at their present school 1 year or less.
38%(8/21) have been at their present school 5 years or more.
Relative to other other populous counties, Duval County has a good number of seasoned/tenured coaches. However, with 43% of coaches at their school 1 year or less, it reflects a substantial amount of "churn."
5 of Duval County's 21 major football programs have new head coaches this season.

Brendan Johnson got a reaction from DisabledAccount in Before Season News and Annoncements
Good evening everyone, I hope everyone has had a great summer and I don’t know about y’all, But I’m looking forward to this season in football especially Northeast Florida Region will be much more interesting than last season.
Top Story: Braden River High is in trouble and has to pay a fine that is $7000 and has to forfeit wins due to rule breaking and certain players. Venice and Braden River continues to get ugly because of continued pettiness, Game can be ugly this year.
Columbia: Columbia High is playing IMG Academy in preseason next Friday. It will be on my top 5 games to watch even though Columbia has to travel.
Mandarin: Carson Beck arrived at Mandarin for the first time last week and will be the new starting QB there. He transferred from Providence School and is an Alabama commit.
Cedar Creek Christian/Duval Charter: Both Schools will now be in 8-Man independent football, I find it very ridiculous to decide before the season starts and should e waited until 2019 when the cycle restarts.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. If you have not, Follow @BrendanJ_Duval on twitter. Followers who follow me, Please keep spreading word to follow my account to coaches, Students or sports accounts.
2. Next week on twitter and even on here, I’ll release my predictions on who will win the Region for 1A-4A and District for 5A-8A.
3. I’m gonna see if I can possibly go to the Bartram Trail vs Mandarin Preseason game and at the end of preseason, I’ll have my Preseason week report.

Brendan Johnson reacted to DisabledAccount in Northeast FL rankings (Post Spring Football)
By that logic though we would have absolutely nothing to look at when trying to evaluate a teams potential going into the season
While I wouldn't base evaluation entirely on spring games i wouldn't completely discredit the use of them from a evaluation perspective
You can only learn so much from practicing against your own team and things like these team camps, 7v7, spring games, scrimmages and kickoff classics all are good tools for testing the waters against other teams so you can evaluate your entire team while facing opposing competition
Most our Starters didn't even play a entire half and by midway through 3rd quarter all our starters were out so we weren't using that game just to show force, if we wanted to show force we probably could have put up 50 points in that game
You can only judge teams based on past results or paper rosters for so far, spring games are great opportunity to get a sneak preview and see potential playmakers for the upcoming season and get a feel for which positions need work and which are strong as well as get a preview into your depth and future stars

Region is based on the counties he plans to cover

I heard Bradford lost a lot, how did they end up in top 10?
Also how much consideration went into a team like Fort White, Ribault, Trinity Christian, or ponte vedra?
