Ponte Vedra doesn’t have the size or speed to compete with Columbia, especially after losing their best two players to Bolles. I think a Lee vs Columbia matchup will be awesome, as it always is...but Columbia has a real shot to win a title this year. They are on a collision course with MC it seems to me.

If anyone here thinks a coach should be ejected for walking up to a ref, then they are on drugs. This is the FHSAA kissing the refs associations ass to make them feel better for being paid like crap. That was a pathetic ejection and he should’ve been given the opportunity to properly earn it. I’d like to sit down with the Miramar coach and have him point out the personal fouls for me. I hope that film was sent to the FHSAA & nothing was done about it. Typical.

Do they use lube, spit, or just go in on you? Ejecting a coach for calling a timeout and going out to speak to them. It’s an obvious abuse of power. A coach trying to protect his players should be ejected is what I expect a typical ref to say. You must feel like God when you walk out on the field and feel so good when you can talk to coaches like they are scum beneath you.

Also, I believe that a coaches first priority is the safety of his athletes and it is his responsibility to insure that steps are being taken to protect them. So yes I can definitely get behind a coach being extremely angry when he feels his players are not being protected by the refs. If refs have a problem with that, then maybe they don’t need to be in the business. It doesn’t pay well enough to not care about the kids.

That’s a BS suspension. I have seen and heard refs doing absolutely awful things and when reported the FHSAA tucked their tail and did nothing. Pathetic abuse of power.

Oakleaf is a top 50 school, they proved that against Columbia.

TCA is more talented than every team they play and I respect the heck out of the kids that are there, that’s never been my issue with them. It’s always been the coaching (or lack there of). I want guys to watch their film, 6 or 7 games worth and tell me that they are better coached than any team they play. It’s basic, pop warner coaching...they just have the better athletes. The reason they got smacked in the mouth by Columbia is Allen at Columbia is a dang good football coach. Depth plays a role but it’s not why they lost to Venice or Columbia.

I saw tonight that Bolles was up 34-0 and was throwing the ball before halftime. This was after an onside kick. Sheesh.

I just don’t know of any successful private school that is doing that. That was my point.

How many of those football players actually attend TCA and don’t do FLVS?

Exactly my feeling on it. If Beck plays like he can, they can certainly beat STA. I’ll be in attendance that night for sure!
