A few weeks back I showed my son the standings in the Osceola district. This is what it looked like. He doesn’t follow football much around the state. So he doesn’t know these teams.
Toho 3-1
St Cloud 2-2
Celebration 1-4
Osceola 0-5
I said who do think is gonna win this district just by looking at this. He said Toho. I said what if I told you the 0-5 team is gonna beat the other 3 by at least 40 points? He just laughed. Lol.
Kissimmee Osceola, when fully healthy, is *much* better than their current mark. They will win this district handily and cannot be counted out of the 4S hunt if they go into the playoffs with Melendez back.

I believe Titusville will more than likely face Cocoa again in the playoffs in the regional semi-final at Cocoa, not the regional Final. It always about Cocoa all the time!
Titusville keeping the game somewhat competitive for a half, in its own rite, is very impressive. Cocoa is positively no worse than top 15 nationally.

@Jullian is right. Dillard is improving and will be riding some momentum going into their two biggest games: STA and BE. Have to beat Ely and at least keep the STA game within 14 to prove that Dillard can compete in 2M. And stop overlooking playoff opponents!!!

Central hasn't lived up to hype so far but I think they're a little far down. Also, I would probably have Dillard ahead of Gibbons at this stage. Not a bad list at all, though.

Can yall please stop talking about that STA-Cocoa game. Cocoa lost STA WON get over it lol. Top 3 teams in the state
Chaminade
STA
Miami Central
That I agree with your top 3 on snap we finally agreed on something lol.
P.S.
If you don't get Dillard out of the top 15 lol
Interesting. How would you feel if Glades Central had an outside chance at the national championship and they lost a game in victory formation against a top 10 team nationally, with no mathematical way for their opponent to win? I’m sure you wouldn’t be upset at all.

#1. Chaminade Madonna (7-0)
#2. St Thomas Aquinas (6-1) Yes The Raiders Should Technically be 6-2 with the second loss being to cocoa, but overall behind chaminade I believe the raiders are playing the Best Ball Right Now.
#3. Miami Central (3-2) on paper the rockets look unbeatable, but on the field the rockets have been playing very mediocre football the last few weeks which is why I dropped them one.#4. American Heritage (4–1)
#5. Homestead ( 4–1)
#6. Miami Norland (6-0)
#7. Miami Columbus (6-1)
#8. Booker T Washington (3-2)
#9. Palmetto (5-1)
#10. Coconut Creek (5-2)
#11. Cardinal Gibbons (4-2)
#12. Western (3-3) Even tho I believe Dillard would win a head to head vs western. The wildcats played tough in two loses to creek & American heritage so right now they get the 12th spot.
#13. Dillard (3-3) - played the #4 team in the nation for three quarters b4 the wheels fell off. Dillard is gonna be a tough out come playoffs. But for right now they get the 13th Spot.
#14. Miramar (3-3)
#15. Monarch (5-1)
outside looking in: Blanche ely (5-1), South broward (5-1) Miami Northwestern (2-5)
Let me know what you guys think @DarterBlue2 @Jullian @VeniceIndianFanPretty good list. I would swap Homestead and Norland. I also think Creekonut and Palmetto trade should places.

According to CAI's announcers, Chuba is "week to week". He didn't play against the school from S.C., but was able to walk under his own power with no noticeable impediment. Seems fairly likely he'll play in the last three games. And I have a hunch they may well win all three. If they do, Lakeland and Venice will both be three-loss teams who figure to have very few home playoff games.
I agree with your final sentence but there’s one thing you have to consider: if Venice loses to either IMG Varsity or Clearwater AI to end the year, and both Lakeland and Venice finish with 3 losses on the regular season, Venice would have to travel to Bryant Stadium for round 4 of the playoffs based on strength of schedule if that’s who their semifinal opponent is.

This three time Florida state champion's QB threw for 7 TD's in last night's 6th victory of the season. This legend has stated it takes about three years, with a new team, to grow a contender. He's in the middle of year two. Lookout 4S, balanced sleeper is slipping in
Care to name this sleeping giant? I want to poke it with a stick and see what happens

Thanks bro I appreciate it. They played wayyyy better than mi predicted or anyone else predicted. No said we had no chance & it would be a running clock by mid 2nd quarter.
not only did that not happen but this team showed chaminade we’re not afraid of you & to beat us you’re gonna have to play all 4 quarters which chaminade had to do.
Dillard's defense did a good job considering they that were playing arguably the best offensive unit in the country
You will need a similar effort to beat STA but that game is by no means a guaranteed loss
Clean up some things and Dillard will be a team nobody wants to see in the playoffs

I agree with you. As always a great football insight.
You played Chaminade tough for 2.5 quarters before the wheels fell off. That's really all you could hope for. Great effort by Dillard.

Venice administration expects this game to sellout. Have to get there very early or buy tickets in advance, or there won't be any at the door!

While the hurricanes is undefeated the schedule they’ve had vs the schedule the Indians has had thus far is NIGHT & DAY.
while I do expect manatee to come out aggressive & full of adrenaline, I expect in the end when the dust settles for Venice to win by a score of 42-14
I don't think the score will be that bad. Manatee and Venice both know what their opponent are capable of after decades of playing. We know what they're going to do. Go out, win the coin toss, and elect to receive first. Then come out with trick plays, fake screens, fake handoffs, you name it. Everything in their playbook is coming out on the first drive. It will be very difficult to defend. So, Manatee is probably going to score the first touchdown. Not the end of the world, but Manatee's defensive line is going to make it very difficult for Venice to run. Fringe 5-star DT Tyreek Robinson, 3.5 -Star Ean "Big Chicken" Johnson, 3-star DE Alvoid Kennon, and 3-year-starter Tristan Titus are one of the best defensive lines Manatee has ever had in their collective school history. They will be a very tough challenge for our offensive line to block and run on. Venice will need plays that develop quickly to beat Manatee's defense and keep them off balance all night. Go Indians!

You've oversold Manatee all year IMO. I think Venice wins comfortably.
Hope you're right. This is a huge test for them.

People are quick to blame the current kids for the transfer portal
How do these kids transfer without the parents signing off for it? When I was in school you usually have to get parents to agree to sign out of school until your 18 so how do you switch schools without a parent signing off on it?
Parents are leading the travel sports movement of switching teams each year when they don't get to coach or when their kid doesn't start
It's not the current generation, it's the previous one who are parents of these kids now who create the problem then try to pin it on the kids because they LACK ACCOUNTABILITY
I agree with this, but you have to keep in mind that the kids are propagating the transfer movement by constantly trying to find a program that is ready to, "win now." The Miami schools are probably the best example of this.

Everyone see's it, my personal observation is that is seems like many are less concerned with winning a game and more concerned with producing dynamic content for their recruiting tapes if that makes sense.
It's a, "me-first," world, no doubt. Seemingly, nobody around my age cares about the big picture anymore. I blame it on the rampant proliferation of social media, which in turn has created a massive consumerist society in which we never feel gratified by material possessions anymore. Everyone wants to be the next big thing or buy what they see on the TV screen. We're losing our attention spans and seeing a rise in mental illness as a result.

FHSAA list is not a poll but the official ranking system whether you agree or not, which I don't. MaxPrep "IS a POLL" and they pretty much reflect your list "EXACTLY" with the small difference with STA squeezing in over Cocoa due to officiating. So how can that "POLL" be ridiculous while yours isn't??
I wasn't talking about Maxpreps. Though I don't necessarily like them, they have the rankings mostly correct in my eyes so I can't complain about them. On the other hand...
The FHSAA's take is more than laughable. Take a look at the Power Rankings on the FHSAA site. It is pure garbage from start to finish. No Miami Central in the top 5? Cocoa behind STA? St. Augustine a top 5 team in Florida? Norland at number 9 behind Edgewater and St. Augustine? Lakeland, the 52nd best team in the state? Venice, the 76th best team in Florida? Bradford ahead of Sanford Seminole? HAHA, NO! Plenty of people on this board have pointed to the flaws with Maxpreps, but I do usually like and agree with their rankings, for better or worse.

Well, the much-anticipated matchup is finally here. Venice vs Manatee! Venice, 4-2 after rough losses to Armwood and Cocoa. Manatee, and perfect 6-0 record heading into the game with strong wins over IMG Varsity, Lake Minneola, Port Charlotte, and Braden River. Who wins this one in the race to secure home field throughout the playoffs? I'm rolling with the green team! GO INDIANS!

These polls are ridiculous.
Chaminade, Miami Central, Norland, Cocoa, and AHP are the top 5 teams in Florida with little argument based on what has happened on the field.

That's a brutal assessment that will end up being very wrong. If we can arrange to, I will take that bet every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
Columbus may or may not win the 4M title. But i would be very, very surprised if they were to do so by more than 17 and that's an absolute outer limit.
Do you think Sanford is the favorite at the moment?
