Just went & looked , ain’t no way smh & I think that was a district game too if I’m not mistaken.

but yea Miramar @ Dillard next Saturday night is gonna be really interesting. Coming off a bye week facing the opponents we’ve faced we should have an advantage. But we will see.

Did not see Coconut Creek beating Plantation. Miramar with maybe their best overall performance in school history.

I see Dillard vs Miramar as a very intriguing game. Dillard coming off a bye week. Miramar, coming off their biggest blowout win in school history. What a game that will be. Won’t make a prediction till later in the week.

Manatee, inarguably?  With wins over 0-3 Charlotte, 0-3 Sarasota, and 1-2 Lake Minneola?  I'll defer to your judgment, but count me as skeptical until October 6.

Manatee returned their entire defense from last season. All 11 guys are back. Their defensive line is just ridiculous to watch. One of the top defensive tackle prospects in the country in Tyreek Robinson. Tristan Titus, Alvoid Kennon, and Max Freeman all extremely good pass rushers. They stop the run and get after the QB. Offensively, Manatee has 3 very dangerous wide receivers in Ramsey Cole, Kayvon Reddick, and Bonshavion Bean. Tyron Jackson has played very well for them so far at runningback. They've been destroying everything in their path so far though they haven't really played true competition. We'll see how much that changes when they play Venice.

  3. Venice has some work to do with their defensive line if they want to win 4S. Kissimmee Osceola is moving back in the right direction. Think they pick up a massive win over Lakeland this week to get back on track. Vero Beach needs to prove themselves after their one good win was blown out of the water by Venice. At the moment: Manatee and Treasure Coast are the 2 favorites in 4S with no argument.

As a Brevard fan of High School Football since 1969 I like seeing good teams play each other. Games where you're not sure who has the advantage. For me, it's not always about the win but watching the talent shine then play outstanding at the next level. The Cocoa Venice was such a game. Both teams have outstanding talent that will succeed at the college level. Except for a few calls on Venice the game could have came down to a FG or missed extra point. The game was that close, and with Venice on the road they played full on for 4 quarters. Their tandem QB's were a nightmare for Cocoa and I'm sure Venice will be one of the top contenders in the playoffs.

Both teams played their hearts out the entire game. Much respect to Venice. The last 5 or 6 years they have improved every season. Also one of the hardest teams to beat at home.

Cocoa and Venice have proved on the field they are both tough teams to beat. I wish Venice the best in the playoffs.

Also lots of respect to VeniceIndianFan. He seems to be a thoughtful poster.

Thank you Catscratch! Great to hear from you again! Your Tigers aren't losing another game after that STA debacle. When they get done steamrolling 2S and finish 14-1, the FHSAA is going to have a lot of explaining to do.

    #11. COCONUT CREEK (2-1)

    #12. PLANTATION (3-0)

    #13. MiRAMAR (2-1)

    #14. WESTERN (2-1)

    #15. MONARCH (2-1)

on the outside looking in: Blanche Ely (2-1) , Dillard (1-2)

i Dropped Dillard Out because even tho I believe a few schools in the bottom top 15 has benefited from a weak schedule & that Dillard Would beat 12-15 home or away our record doesn’t reflect that right now. Yea we have a tough schedule and have played two very good teams in back to back weeks with another one next week vs Miramar our record is what it is right now which is (1-2) & not top 15 worthy.

    what are you guys thoughts ??@VeniceIndianFan @Jullian @nolebull813 @DarterBlue2 @cribboy305

    Looks good so far!

  6. Jones tops Edgewater in a shootout.

Chaminade continues their quest for the national championship with a strong victory over AHP.

Columbus starts to build some momentum and beats Palmetto by 14.

TCA beats Bolles by about 10.

South Sumter eventually puts down Hawthorne in a defensive slugfest.

Plantation keeps the good times rolling and moves to 4-0 over Coconut Creek.

    Mainland dominates Raines.

    Carrolwood Day beats OTC soundly.

West Orange in a close game over Wekiva.

FSU High finds a way to beat Gadsden.

Manatee is a team on a mission. Going to slaughter Braden River and move to 5-0.

STA by 21 or more over Western.

    Dunnellon over Williston.

    Hudson over NTC.

Don't know much about Catholic Memorial, but Cardinal Newmans' 2-0 record so far speaks for itself: make it 3-0!

Hope the FHSAA overturns this game and forces STA to forfeit.  But we all know they won’t because they are lazy and frankly, don’t care. It’s a sick world.

    Great win!

Curious do you know what QB they played with? Forgive me I can’t remember their names, I know the younger one who was more of the scrambler style made some great plays when he played us and looks like someone was able to put some points up tonight as well. Again congrats on the great game!

Venice used both of their QB's tonight. They put Ryan Downes in in the first quarter, at the end of the second, and a little bit at the end. Jadyn Glasser played most of the game, though. Both teams did basically whatever they wanted offensively. There were a few drives where Venice got a stop, and Miami NW recovered a fumble, but other than that this was a shootout from start to finish. Venice was a dropped pass away from dropping 70 in The Mecca. Both teams have plenty to work on defensively. Miami Northwestern: tackling drills. Venice: finding a way to stop the run when Ryan Daly is being double-teamed. Venice will have two weeks to iron out the kinks and prepare for River Ridge, while Northwestern needs to grow up fast with a brutal stretch of games coming up. Overall, not bad for Venice's first win and it's all up from here. Go Indians!

Our #2 RB is out for the year with a shoulder injury, but we should be getting Taevion back soon.  Obviously he is a difference maker and despite the quality of our other backs, they aren't him.

I'm sorry to hear that. When Taevion returns, Osceola's offense is going to be flying high. Sometimes, all you need is one spark to start a fire and I think his return will be invaluable to your chase for the 4S trophy. Osceola's rushing attack was fierce with Swint last year, so his return will only boost the Kowboys.

  10. Some observations from last night.

Kissimmee Osceola is improving and, in a few weeks, will look like contenders in 4S. They will get their rb crew back from injury and be just fine. But with that said...

Treasure Coast is the absolute clear favorite in 4S right now. Their defense is just unbelievable. They held Sanford Seminole to 9 points and 2 of them came from a safety off of a bad snap.

Manatee could be right behind them. They have yet to play an extremely tough opponent yet, though. We will see what they are made of when they play Venice week 7.

Lakeland is 1-2 but has no reason to press the panic button yet. Their losses have come to extremely tough opponents in SJP and Miami Norland.

Cocoa is going to slaughter 2S and it will be infuriating to finish 14-1 when 15-0 was right there.

Dillard is heading in the wrong direction and will not challenge STA this year.

Daytona Mainland is the clear favorite in 3S after containing Bartram Trail's offense.

Venice needs to find whatever spark they had against TBT and reignite it fast.

Sarasota Riverview's offense looks potent. This could be the year they finally challenge Venice for the district.

    Miami Central is Miami Central.

Chaminade and TCA are heading for a rematch in 1M.

Poinciana is heading in the right direction.

CCC looks good, but will they challenge TCA in 1M? The jury is still out.

Hey I don't like Cocoa just like you don't like STA lol

This is a complete misrepresentation of the facts. The issue isn't that I, "don't like STA," it's that the game clock operator did not faithfully execute their job when Cocoa kneeled in the victory formation. But whatever helps you sleep at night.
