This game is at Camping World Stadium (the old Citrus Bowl). 65,000 capacity. Hopefully, the Bulls travel well for the game. Camping World is just up the road from Jones High, so I am sure their faithful will turn out in droves, as they are still smarting from the State Title game defeat in 2019.

Da West Always travel well for big games. When we pull up to that field Jones better be ready to play cause we coming full force.

Nothing set in stone yet, but MIAMI CENTRAL beach coach reached out directly to our HC and this was his exact words “aye coach I been hearing a lot of bout Dillard lately and roc nation would love to run it back in week 9”

Dillard head coach “say less, let’s make it happen”.

Seminole High Head coach Also reached out and said, they would love to play Dillard in a Week 6 matchup.

    I say line it up and let’s goooooooo #PAWSUP #NotTheSameDillard #TheOldDillardIsBack

Well I guess Dillard trying to go 3rd times a charm huh but only to get the same result.

Hey bro! Good to see you're back posting. It's sad that folks can't keep things civilized and on topic. Been a pet peeve of mine since the Dallas Jackson days. One of the main reasons I just read and not respond to posts. But anyway, your Panthers lucked up and don't have to worry about my Rockets this season. Lol! Playing in 7a with STA is going to be a mission, but if they do match up the trip won't be far either way. I'm rooting for you guys. Have a few family members and friends that are Dillard alum. But I think NW has a very easy path to state in 6a. My Rockets are going to have to contend with AHP. And if that game is in Broward....Oh lord! NW has had to travel there the past two years. But we will see.

What Da west schedule looking like.

They are always well coached and disciplined. What they have lacked in the past is team speed. This, more than anything else, has prevented them from making a deep run. This year was their best, getting to the Regional final. And, they could easily have won the rematch with Apopka. But for a blocked field goal and blocked extra point, and an interception in the end zone, LM would have likely won.

Apk vs Mnw 407 vs 305 2021 rematch lets make it happen.

Personally, I'd rather see both teams have a few games under their belts before they square off.  Apopka has a tendency to start a little slow, but finish strong -- in large part because of it takes a little time to get their sophisticated offensive in synch (even though many the kids have been running it since their youth football days).

Thats cool I wouldn't mind them getting of few games played before they face off as long as they get this game played.

I can't wait to see what the 2020 football schedule gone look like.

So, you're telling the rest of the state that they should wait until South Florida is ready to play? That seems a little bit selfish on the part of the South Florida schools. As best I can remember, wasn't NW caught holding illegal practices several months ago? Were they concerned about the "health and safety of players and coaches" when they were holding these practices without masks , social distancing, and adherence to the rules? Were they the only ones practicing illegally or the only ones caught? For kids throughout the state who don't have a scholarship offer, especially the seniors, this season is their only chance to impress college coaches. They already lost Spring practice, Spring games, college Summer camps and visits; should they sacrifice their last chance to wait on South Florida to get to the point when they can safely start playing football because South Florida schools want to participate in state championship games? The FHSAA already voted to allow schools to start play later; they would just miss the state championships.

No im telling the state that the virus numbers of cases and deaths are high all over. So what im saying is that is not for anyone to play football right now. The fhsaa should picked the 3rd option so everybody can start at the same time. All it takes is for one kid or coach to get sick and you have quarantine any way.

  8. 14 hours ago, Jesse said:

It doesn't count.  Fhsaa is Florida that's the real and only championship.  Hopefully south Florida comes back.

Well if the fhsaa would have made the right decision with the 3rd option south florida would be with it. Fhsaa gotta think about the health and safety of players and coaches more than money that comes in from it. Cause how much money really go come in if these players and coaches get sick or die from covid 19.

You realize that all members of the current teams were not even born in 2001? It's just old fans like us that even know this game occurred. But, yeah, I would like to see a rematch, too. That way Apopka can show once and for all that they can compete with Dade County's finest. Win or lose I know the Darters would not roll over!

Well we gone see what yall do against AHP week 1. If yall can't hang with them then yall definitely  in trouble against us. Our team this yr is super loaded at every position. Us and St Thomas looking to go unbeaten this season.

If you are not connected with the MNW program then you have no say who they play.  If you are connected to the MNW program then have your AD call.  I'm willing to bet you the Apopka AD is not reading this message board

I never said I had no say Im just a big Miami Northwestern fan and I want to see this rematch happens so the bulls can avenge the 2001 loss.

  11. 18 hours ago, DarterBlue2 said:

Contact Apopka's AD. I am sure the program would be willing to discuss a game with the Bulls. If the Darters have to travel to Dade, they would probably prefer a home and away over two years. In either location, the game would draw well. If you want, send me a PM and I will give you a link to contact the program.

Well I just want Apopka's AD to contact MNW AD about a possible home and away agreement over the next two years. That way this game can finally happen. MNW vs APK  rematch of the century.

Maybe and maybe not. Apopka is one of a few Central Florida schools that has enough talent, and a culture of winning, that allows them to compete with the better south Florida schools. This year there is no chance of a rematch, as schedules have been set. However, there is a decent chance there will be a basis for comparison as Apopka has American Heritage Plantation on its schedule and you will play them, too.

Apopka does not fear or back down from any challenge because there is a belief that a loss is a learning experience. In fact though we have won three state titles, we have never done so undefeated. I am sure Apopka would be willing to play MNW over the next few years, if an agreement acceptable to both programs can be reached.

Well how soon do think they can get and accepted agreement for somewhere like 2021 season or 2022 season cause this game needs to happen.

Yep we will play american heritage in rd 3 of the playoffs to advance to our 4th straight state semi final. Yall have talent for sure but yall players didn't close the deal last season at state. So like I said with the loaded team we have we will take it to yall in 2021 or 2022.

This was a gimme. Apopka only completed one pass (for a long touchdown) in handing the Bulls a 34-16 beating in the 6A title game in 2001 up at the Doak. Now to be fair, the Darters should have been two for two on passes as Antoine Coley dropped one in the endzone when he was wide open.

While a running team, it is slightly misleading to describe Apopka as one dimensional as it always has multiple backs and often the ball is snapped to multiple individuals during the course of a game.

Just set up the rematch and da west will smashed them worse then they beat us back then.
