Rule 1-3-3, The Referee shall decide whether the ball meets specifications, and the Referee or any other game official may order the ball changed between downs.  Rule 1-3-2, Only legal balls, approved by the Referee, may be used during the game.   

Great game last night. It's too bad there were probably only around 500 or so people there to watch. Those kids deserve better support.  Side note: We were really impressed by Central's Jayden Ford and Southridge's Travis Gamble at RB. Ford is electric when he gets the football in space. He had a spectacular 95 yard punt return for a TD wiped off on a block in the back call and outran a couple of good athletes that had a decent angle on him as he went down the sideline. At 5'6 and 160, he's really small, but hopefully FIU can add 10 lbs to him without losing any of his quickness. Gamble is a stout 5'9 185, shifty and has good wheels. That's another guy who could take a step up with another 10 lbs. Hope to see these guys again this year.
