The proposal would expand to the lowest 40 populated schools that meet the criteria for the Rural classification and commit to the Rural classification in the sport of football.
Looks at this point in the season that 6A has the best winning percentage overall vs all the classes. Probably a good indication of a high number of solid teams in this classification which is also reflected in the rankings. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of separation in rankings by most sources and those by the wise men at FHSAA. Hopefully that gap will close by seasons end to lend more credibility to the seeding formula for all teams. Somehow in never favors us as evidenced 3 years ago having to travel to Vero for regional championship and winning easily. Same can be said last year having to travel for both the regional (Armwood) and state Semi (Buchholz). Now they have South Lake ahead of us with the #2 seed in our Region. Headscratcher for sure. No offense Beek.
So I guess you're not enthusiastic about the FHSAA proposal to expand the Rural division from 32 to 40 teams in the next classification cycle (2026-27)?
