    • It has been hard for me to follow your example of not being offensive when it comes to being critical of the FHSAA regarding the playoff brackets for THIS Friday night.  They should have done whatever was necessary, working thru the weekend, getting more help, speeding up the computer, anything to post those playoff brackets by Sunday night.  No later than Monday noon so each team knew who their opponent was when they started practicing Monday.  Criticism isn't driven because the team I like somehow is handicapped as just checking the status of rankings on the FHSAA website it normally gets updated every Tuesday morning but nothing today thus far.  As previously stated by others, the higher rankings are pretty much baked in this late in the season so it appears from last week's ranking we will be playing Melbourne again and I imagine our coaching staff is assuming the same and working accordingly.  This though is another example that reflects so terribly on this organization.  Embarrassing for sure.
    • SSAA is for private/charter schools with enrollment of 800 or fewer. Started roughly 12 years ago with 8 schools, and now it has grown to 98 schools in total within the SSAA. A few years ago, four public schools reached out looking for something different. SSAA created the Atlantic League for public schools or larger private/charter schools. It started with four teams and has now grown to 20 this year. SSAA caps enrollment at 800, but doesn't divide divisions or brackets by enrollment, based solely on how you did this year. Atlantic League does not have an enrollment cap. 8-man roster sizes can be a maximum of 25; that's why you see teams go to 11-man, which is the goal for most. You can't play 8-man with a roster size over 25.   Hope that helps.
    • Thank you, that explains a lot!  My next question is what is this Atlantic division and what this the difference between the Atlantic and the rest of SSAA?
    • 1A-6A + Rural + Open = 8 state championship brackets (still), so no real change.
    • Many thanks to Heartland Archives.  He helped me get on Gobound to purchase my ticket for Friday night.  I guess Gobound is the Gofan for the SSAA.  I’ll be attending Westminster Academy @ NSU/University.
