    • SSAA is for private/charter schools with enrollment of 800 or fewer. Started roughly 12 years ago with 8 schools, and now it has grown to 98 schools in total within the SSAA. A few years ago, four public schools reached out looking for something different. SSAA created the Atlantic League for public schools or larger private/charter schools. It started with four teams and has now grown to 20 this year. SSAA caps enrollment at 800, but doesn't divide divisions or brackets by enrollment, based solely on how you did this year. Atlantic League does not have an enrollment cap. 8-man roster sizes can be a maximum of 25; that's why you see teams go to 11-man, which is the goal for most. You can't play 8-man with a roster size over 25.   Hope that helps.
    • Thank you, that explains a lot!  My next question is what is this Atlantic division and what this the difference between the Atlantic and the rest of SSAA?
    • 1A-6A + Rural + Open = 8 state championship brackets (still), so no real change.
    • Many thanks to Heartland Archives.  He helped me get on Gobound to purchase my ticket for Friday night.  I guess Gobound is the Gofan for the SSAA.  I’ll be attending Westminster Academy @ NSU/University.
    • https://www.gobound.com/fl/sunshinestate/sunfb/2025-26/brackets   There are no standings besides the 8-man division, as there are no districts in the 11-man/Atlantic division. Teams schedule their own 10 games and are ranked based on 3 categories. The top 8-ranked teams in North and South are in the State Championship bracket for 11-man and Atlantic. 8-man has divisions, so the state championship bracket consists of 6 division winners and 10 wildcard teams, based on rankings. All other brackets are determined by rankings, but they are consolation brackets and not a State championship.   If you're having a good year based on the three criteria, then you will play against others who are having a good year in the playoffs; if you're having a bad year, then you will be paired with others who are struggling, but it's not a state championship. Gives everyone something to play for, but does not give out multiple 11-man state championships or multiple Atlantic State championships
