If they limit 1a with a number of total schools, I am all for it. Not like I have a choice anyway. I dont think 600 students should determine 1a, especially since they let schools over 600 in. Should pick a number like 36 and let the bottom 36 in enrollment in and everyone else up. Think we have 39 schools in right now.

How many 1A coaches voted for this? I am not asking about 2 3 or 4A i  want to know how many in 1A voted for it or agreed to it. 

Go back 10 years on each and every team that has won 8 or more games in 1A and name them, I bet there are not many. Small schools are getting screwed over by this and having it forced on them. It will be very hard for teams like Trenton and Madison to find local games in 1A if other schools dont have to play us.  

I don't understand why they are doing away with districts in the small classes but not the large classes, if it is good for one why not all.  Maybe they are just going to experiment with the small classes.  It is hard to tell how strong a team will be from year to year so you could make a schedule that looks good in the spring but by October you realize you are screwed.  I also think it will be hard for really good teams and really bad teams to find games.

I agree with Trajan with out that fumble in to the end zone it would have been a little closer. 

But the story behind the story Proset is that the 2007 Newberry team that you say was so good, there starting QB and best wide out where Trenton boys that transferred to Newberry. Just so you know

I was very impressed with Trenton.  You guys are very physical and have a strong defense...just eliminate the turnovers and you're going to be very tough to beat. 

Yall have some pretty good players and it's no problem to tell that they play very physical and until the whistle blows, I did not see any kids (Trenton or Wakulla)  taking a play off during that game. I felt good about the performance of the Trenton team against you guys, What dont kill ya will make ya stronger!!!!  

Those 07 Panthers were dominant, very impressive team that unfortunately had to play against a freight train from The Muck.  
 
Union (as well as a few other schools in the area) has had Newberry's number in recent years. With that being said, it's about time for Newberry to take a step back up into the conversation of one of the better 1A teams.  Time will tell if they can do that sooner rather later.  Watching Newberry this year, they have the players to be a real force in 1A.  Part of me believes that Newberry will dominate the LOS against UCH and control the game.  Newberry does have a nice win over Santa Fe and that is better than anything Union has done thus far.  UCH has to get the ball in the hands of their play making WR (I'd like to see him get around 15 touches) whether it be in the return game or on offense. I've only watched him in 2 games but the kid has been lightening in a bottle.

Nope he saw that game twice last year and is ready for something new.  I think the tigerfan name is because he pulls for Columbia anyway.

Wakulla wins handily. Madison is very good but Wakulla at home is a tough task. Not a lot of tape on either team this year but Wakulla over Trebton on the road to me is better than Madison over Rickards at Boot Hill.  Wakulla 27-16 

Offensively Trenton is struggling and Po Jo always plays good defense. First one to 14 will probably win.

Only played one game and that was against a terrible team.  Early season rankings don't really mean that much.  This is a good way to see how much work has to be done.

I would say what I want to say in regards to the TV contracts, but sometimes keeping the yapper shut is a better option on some of this.

Columbia front 7 one of best in area but like broward said it's a bit too early to tell, this might be a better trend to explore around like week 8 or something

If the pool of 4,000 does not have any talent or no desire to work hard and excel in football  it is a useless statistic.  
 
 What is a more impressive win?  Pahokee beating Seminole Ridge  or  
 
Coral Park/Jupiter caliber team beating Pahokee?  To me it is the 8A team beating 1A Pahokee.   Do you really expect those teams to compete with Pahokee based on a classification # next to their name?  I'll say it again. The top 5 1A teams can generally compete with average 8A teams for the last few years.  The top 1A teams can usually compete with and sometimes beat very good 8A teams.  It is expected to those that know football.  I look at talent pools in concentrated areas over classification #s any day of the week.  
 
That is like saying India and China are supposed/expected to have the best athletes in the world because they have the largest populations to pick from.  

For 8A starters just have Pahokee beat Boca Raton or something....And are you seriously referencing and making excuses why Pahokee didn't beat Seminole Ridge by 6-14 extra points? Really? You getting off by talking about leaving points off the board versus Seminole Ridge to make yourself feel better.
2015 Trenton would slaughter 2016 Pahokee and they never had to play sub-par 8A teams to make themselves feel better. Get off your high horse and go win 1A states - then Pahokee can talk about Trenton.

I agree Columbia.  There is also quite a bit of non Florida high school talk popping up.  There has been a bit of a nasty tone in some of the comments recently, not just the good natured ribbing we are used to.  I know this board is growing just hope everyone respects the rules.

We are ok the city of Trenton only lost power for about 5 min but out in the county 17,000 home are with out power and we had over 7 inches of rain. Some of the towns down by the coast have a bad storm surge around 10 feet and there is a lot of damage down that way.

How that a bad thing, last time you picked against us we won lol
