DisabledAccount got a reaction from Jesse in Columbia vs Suwannee rivalry returning
That was the first game that the QB had with this group, he got better as the game progressed and Suwannee only TD came on a fumble recovery on Columbia first drive

Defense held it's own throughout the game only giving up 3 points and Columbia is still down a 3* WR

They will get better when he gets back but at least the defense is in a good spot currently

I'm starting to think that people change the narrative to justify their desire to drag a program like Columbia down because they are the program who isn't supposed to be good after all that's why every year it's "well you all gonna suck" "you don't have it anymore" "Lake City will always be failures"

At the end of the day I will point to 2015 when Columbia got smashed in their KOC then went to the final 4, Columbia the next year beat the same team who blasted them but they went 7-4 and had a second round exit. Columbia is erratic at times in the preseason but I'm not worried in the slightest, they will figure it out because this is a good coaching staff and this is a consistent good program that wins year in and year out no matter who graduates or who transfers in or out

Let's talk about another so called bad ass in Jacksonville who got beat 40-0 tonight

@nolebull813Riverside lost 40-0 to Bartram tonight, still think I ranked them wrong now? LMAO

You have a better chance of Leto beating Armwood

Oh yeah. They’re solid & have been for awhile. Not taking anything away from at all, but TBT busted into the State finals last year, & suppose to be good again. Agree.

To be honest while I agree with the rest of the ones you said I wouldn't rule that one out

Sarasota Riverview is no slouch and I wouldn't be all that surprised if they upset Tampa Bay Tech

Yes but people on this board isn't "most people"

I get where your going with it but believe me I regularly tell people off up here when they expose their lack of knowledge on SFL teams or act like there's only a few teams in SFL better than what we play every year where in reality even though some up here think Riverside is a "big deal" in North Florida they probably wouldn't even beat Monarch

PBL is probably 2 years too late on playing Central

Miami Central could start their backups and probably would beat Palm Beach Lakes easily

Considering it's in GA it wouldn't be a huge upset

Florida teams always face bad calls from homer refs which is why those South GA teams won't come to Florida

Lowndes knows they would get exposed if they didn't have all the comfort of home field advantage and paid off refs to help them in a battle against a ranked FL team

Honestly Sarasota should win that one but both are solid teams but I do think Sarasota taking a step towards being a playoff contender wouldn't be a huge surprise

I would say I would be a little surprised if Atlantic beats Palm Beach Central just because I feel like Atlantic is a bit down still

Trinity Catholic beating Buchholz would surprise me

I think Columbia should demolish Suwannee but they need to get a few things clicking with the timing and we still fighting through a few key injuries heading into the game but I don't think Suwannee has enough to threaten Columbia even with it being at Live Oak

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Venice somehow upsets IMG but it would be a mild surprise

That wouldn't be as big of an upset as some people would like to think

Minor upset at most if it happens

CAI has been ok in recent years. I know some people may see that “international” word and jump out of their seats, but they are not a Mater Dei or SFA by any means. Most of their players seem to be from Canada and from a few various states around the US. Not sure if they will be any better this season than they were in 2020 when they played us. If Lakeland has a good game plan, which they always do with Coach Castle at the helm, then don’t even sweat CAI as Lakeland should defeat them without too much trouble.

Some people just see international and think that makes them a powerhouse like IMG

Just like people from that clown national board think any Broward team is great automatically so they can dishonestly prop up their joke state that can't hang with Florida

But it's unsurprising considering they see a dude that had to stalk my LinkedIn page and use my profile picture to get relevant on that board and the same clown that backed him tried to get me removed from this site because I'm the bad guy because I called him a clueless liar lol

They aren’t who you think they are. Your toughest challenge will be Osceola.

I agree every "winning" school gets transfers though I would say that getting 3-5 versus 20 is a massive difference

One is a normal amount while the other is taking advantage of the system

Personally I think the reason IMG Academy can lose games even when they are perceived to be better than everyone is while they have talent they don't ever truly develop a team chemistry because they are essentially a bunch of hired short term mercenaries for the cause, people may think chemistry can be built quickly but sometimes it takes years to truly build chemistry and it's easy when you only get a few kids or if the kids played together in youth or middle school but when you are taking kids from across the country you aren't gonna have the same chemistry

SFA out of Baltimore is basically IMG Mid-Atlantic and despite Florida talent right here, SFA has actually exceeded IMG and is the only team with multiple wins over IMG and the only team IMG holds a losing record against with at least 2 games played

Schools like STA and Jesuit are pretty smart in that most of their "transfers" come in the form of 9th graders so they grow up in the system which is why they are usually so disciplined and well coached

There will be teams they face with more "talent" on the field but rarely is there a more disciplined or better coached or better prepared team across from them and sometimes that takes a team much further than trying to create an all star team

24/7 can tell you a lot about individual talents, but I don’t think it tells the whole story about how well a team performs against pressure or equivalent talent. A football team is comprised of more than one person and the sum is often greater than its parts. As you rightfully pointed out, Lakeland is a good example of this. They raided every school around them and received probably close to 20 transfers this season. They are going to be a powerhouse and we all know it. I am disappointed that they didn’t schedule any South Florida opponents, and will obliterate everyone they play with the exceptions of Osceola and maybe Armwood. They will undoubtedly be favored to win 4S.
IMG has no excuse to lose a football game at the high school level at all with everything they have at their fingertips. Yet, they still seem to lose a game every once in a while (albeit, to very good programs such as SFA and Mater Dei.) And they get tough games from public schools every year (MNW, MC, Venice, Columbia, Cocoa, etc. All examples of public schools that have proven they can compete with IMG and that they aren’t an “unbeatable machine.” At the end of the day, they are just high school kids playing a game. I can’t fault kids for wanting to play for IMG. I’ve been on that campus twice and their facilities and equipment are beyond compare. I just can’t stand ignorant fans that claim that their school “doesn’t get transfers,” when in truth, all winners nowadays do; some contribute more than others and add fuel to an already strong program.

What I find ironic is when the same people who say "you can't use 24/7 to judge talent" use 24/7 to judge talent

Guess that logic only applies to teams they WANT to see listed as a big deal and if it don't support their narrative "that's meaningless because I know everything"

    LMAO

Venice will put up a fight against IMG and I won't be surprised if Central beats IMG, this idea that IMG is somehow unbeatable is only used by people who don't actually know football, heck Lakeland probably got more transfers and talent than IMG but they didn't want to step their schedule up and when the "potential" to play Miami Central came up Lakeland would only agree to play if Central came to them

Funny how a school that has a turf field and video scoreboard can't afford a bus ride to SFL when they literally sell out every home game don't you think?
