Facts! & after doing some digging they played one powerhouse last year which was st.edwards out of Ohio & they was blown off the field in the first half.
Granted they won the rest of their games last season, against lord knows what type of competition, but to be THIS BOLD going to ANOTHER state against a south Florida power you most def know nothing about & the heat been HOT HOT! The last few weeks down here let’s see how lit they are when them lights come on.
because when that band crank up “WE READY” & that blue smoke fill the air, ain’t nowhere to run lol.
Exactly. They just don't know. That heat and humidity is gonna run through that limited depth when them cramps hit. They just added fuel to the fire with the social media talk. I'm sure they haven't dealt with the trash talk that Florida skills players can dish out lmao

ouuuhhhhhhh lol I can’t wait for Friday .. fu** Dillard huh ? Okay lol @VeniceIndiansFootball @cribboy305 @Jullian
Alot of talk for a team that's hasn't been to Florida let alone up against a solid program from South Florida. Looks like they don't have much depth and probably gonna try to go athlete for athlete which is hard to do when all teams down south sees is speed and athleticism at every position. Let's see how much they talkin once that humidity smacks them in the face lol. I see this game going the sameway the game went for Cocoa when they hosted Western Branch out of VA. A blowout win and domination for the Florida squad. Rooting for Dillard all the way.

I don’t know any of the teams they played last year outside of dematha. They have a well known coach at the helm so we will see, after looking at their clips they look really small , I can see our line eating them alive.
Was the Dematha game competitive at all? Sounds like they may be in for a rude awakening especially if they are small upfront and have to deal with yall team speed on top of that.

Week one, & it’s gonna be a good 1. Our first out of state opponent since 2013. The eagles went (7-1) last year in their first year of varsity play & they have done some heavy recruiting over the summer. According to their players “Dillard is on the clock & they’re gonna run us out of our own stadium” …..LMAO LOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
The panthers have a gruesome schedule this year with multiple national ranked opponents, so aye like our band is gonna say on Friday “WE READY, READY, WE READY.
Gotta love their confidence. Who did they play last season? Their coming in with a great mindset but are definitely poking the bear with twitter fingers lol Florida teams love that type of energy just so it gives even more incentive to shut down the team talkin. Love that football season is back.

I honestly didn't know he was at RB but he did get a few snaps at kick returner
He looked decent but nothing like that Jesse homer made him out to be, fastest guy on the field was Inness
I figured

It’s too early to call Palm Bay fake… sat has a really good defense and held Palm Bay varsity to 1 TD 4 completions in 3 qtrs…
with that performance they have absolutely no chance against Cocoa… prob lose to them during the season and then in the regionals…
I'm in no way calling them fake. Just all the chatter I've seen had them hyping themselves up as back and frontrunners for their district. Also the way they celebrated that last touchdown kinda threw me off especially seeing nobody talked to the player immediately after. Also they've been talking like there's no way they don't win their district.
They are gonna be more competitive and improved from seasons past. But that showing from last Friday doesn't bode too well. I see them going anywhere from 5-5 and 7-3. Always had them locked as district runner up. I see them sticking with Cocoa for about a quarter n a half.

Before I share my thoughts from this event here's some photos I took from the sideline up in Valdosta yesterday
Thoughts:
Overall it was a very good setup and the stadium atmosphere made the game a blast to attend
DFB is as bad as advertised and will struggle to win games this year and has no business playing OOS in the foreseeable future
Colquitt and Lowndes are not as good as their past teams that won titles in GA but both could be better next year
This may be the year Valdosta gets by Lowndes in the winnersville classic
AHP is down from some past teams but was by far the best team at the event and we should see where they stand next week as well as games with Cardinal Gibbons and Chaminade but I felt they were a class act as a team and program and I had a chance to talk to few of their staff during the game and one of the lowndes staff during the lightning delay
I will never again hate on the refs in Florida because even the most flag happy crews on Florida is nothing compared to the flaggrent calls where it felt like holding was getting called like 8 or 9 straight plays on offense for AHP which likely kept it from being more of a blowout
Overall the crowd support during the lowndes game with the Lowndes fans and band is better than any crowd I've ever seen in Florida and their crowd was louder on one yard gains than Columbia was the entire kickoff classic against Suwannee even with fans wrapped around the fences. Florida could learn something from the south GA fanbases
Overall a great event and I was honored to be on the sideline watching those 4 programs play football last night even though I didn't get home until 2am
I saw that Fleming got hurt after having 7 attempts for 19 yards. But what was the totals rushing yards gained for Lowndes against AHP? Just curious lmao

I hope this lost doesn't affect the rest of their schedule cause a lot of football is still to be played
I think they'll have a solid season with a couple losses. They showed that they're willing to keep fighting. At times early it looked like they were ready to give up. But they pushed through it

Was a good game. Hope they make it happen annually. Next Friday is gonna be a monster matchup between Jones and Cocoa. I give the edge to Cocoa by 6

Yea my mind was blown. Even the commentators thought he was sacked.

Not surprising, but both Defenses are bringing it. Loads of athletes on the field. Like the Bulls QB. Nice arm, good legs.
He's a gamechanger and the reigning state passing leader from last season. The way he's able to move in the pocket and keep his eyes down field under pressure is insane. Like that last pass play of the half, I didn't even realize he flicked the ball out. I really thought he got sacked
-
That punt return definitely turned this game around from being an early blowout.
Jones started out a little undisciplined but I think they have things under control now.

I remember the topic of traveling large distances for K.O. classics coming up a few days ago. It's just a bad idea to even try to play games in Florida (especially away from the coasts) around 7-8pm this time of year there. Lightning delays are virtually guaranteed. I feel bad for MNW and their fans. That's a long way to travel for a game that should've been obvious was going to be extremely difficult to play.
Kickoff time set for 745 now able to watch on VSN Florida

Honestly this isn't really an upset, I know people are super high on Rockledge but Treasure Coast is the better team
I do think it's a good sign for Rockledge they were able to compete with them though
It was a sloppy game by both and Treasure Coast won on a last minute field goal.
To me the biggest game that showed alot in Brevard was the Satellite v Palm Bay game.

Looks like our opponent for next week, Treasure Coast rode into Rockledge last night and emerged with a victory (albeit a last second FG off a TO). Wondering if Keem watched this game and if so what his takeaway is as both are forecast to be extremely good teams.
Honestly it was sloppy game but a dogfight. Tied at 7 at the half and Rockledge led 14 to 13 in the 4th. Lots of penalties. Rockledge defense is pretty solid. You can catch the replay of the game on space Coast daily website or their Facebook to get a better grasp. I watched the latter part of the game due to watching the Cocoa v Merritt Island game and some of the Viera v Eau Gallie and Satellite v Palm Bay game.

Who you have winning or wait we need to see what Jones does against Northwestern first
Definitely gotta see that game. Cocoa defense is lights out again. Merritt Island couldn't do anything on offense. You can watch the replay on space Coast daily or Brevard sports network facebook pages

Cocoa beats Merritt Island 36 -0 in a half of play. Game got called before the second half started.
Palm Bay scrapes by Satellite 21-7. Palm Bay scoring last with 3 seconds left after Satellite tried a fake punt with 4mins left at their own 30.
Rockledge loses to Treasure Coast 16 to 14.
Eau Gallie beats Viera and controlled the game.
Bayside beats Seabreeze yesterday 28-14.
Speaking of Seabreeze, their starting and 2nd string QBs both played tonight against each other for Merritt Island and Cocoa.

I’m sorry to sound ignorant but I’ve not found any information on this. Was the school called “Rockledge” before the split?
It was Cocoa high. The original Rockledge campus is where Cocoa was located then they built a new campus and Rockledge became that campus and Cocoa was the new campus. There was also an all black school in Cocoa called Munroe. I'm not sure if that was the original campus or not I would have to do more research. But i do know for a fact that Cocoa high was the original School.

Imagine if Rockledge and Cocoa never split.

Yup Cocoa vs Rockledge. Tradition was that the loser of the game would have to serve the winner a BBQ dinner the next day. Hence the name lmao. Good neighborhood/crosstown rivalry.
