Nobody really is. Even the podcast yesterday on this website spoke about Cocoa vs Rockledge like the game against Pahokee really doesn't exist.

Rankings are media opinions. Do I think GC is better than some of the teams ahead of them? Yes. But, any system that is put in place will piss off someone. There never will be a perfect format.

Oh yea that is a "bunch" of rings. Pahokee has 6, not counting last year.

Oh no, I have encountered many Cocoa fans in real life, they really are cocky.

Cocoa fans are very cocky. They think they can blow out the entire State.

BTW and Cocoa Beach are in different Regions. So they do not cancel out each other.

I know my chances are slim to none, but I'm praying for Boynton to win their final 3 games to move up to Category 3. Both Glades Central and Pahokee can use the extra points.

Kings Academy did Glades Central a favor by beating Gulliver. Hopefully they will help out again by knocking off Key West. GC needs to handle business at American Heritage to make all of this matter though. LOL

I understand where everyone is coming from. There will never be a perfect system. Someone will always get left out. Coaches just are going to have to better scouters going forward. You have 1. Check around for teams pervious record, 2. Look around to find 5A-8A teams that are in a district where they can have a decent record, but yet your team could compete with them. 3. Look at your own returning players to figure how competive you would be against those teams. It's all hit or miss. You have to root for the teams that you beat and the ones that beat you. Look at Glades Central's situation. Oakleaf, Clewiston, and Boynton would have been quality wins. But, this season all 3 are struggling and hurting GC at the same time. Pahokee reached the #1 seed with a win over Gardens last week, but was really set to lose it the following week with playing Westpark that would have taken their average down. But, a Palm Lakes win over Olympic Heights, jumped PBL up to a Category 3, which added more points to Pahokee's win over them. So that may help keep PK on top of the region with the new totals are released. With that being said, the Muck Bowl will have a more powerful meaning than just bragging rights. That game can decide both teams playoff hopes or positions.

I wouldn't consider it a causality. If Pahokee loses all 3, then they don't deserve to be in, simple as that. Coaches picked the schedules. You schedules games with the mindset of winning. So get out there and do it.

If the FHSAA allows them to cancel without consequence, then they would be asking for trouble with their system. If the two teams has already rescheduled the game, then they should be made to honor the game. You shouldn't be able to cancel just because it would help or hurt your playoff chances. If they would have canceled right after Irma, then fine. But, being that you scheduled it, man up and play.
