DB4 got a reaction from Zoe Boy in Transfers 2017
"Respect my decision" "Not personal it's business" and you have to make sure you thank your prior school for everything even though you're leaving. hashtag #blessed
Remember the good ol days when kids just picked the hat on signing day? lol now kids are committing to high school transfers. Craziness.

I don't think either team will be what they were last year. They'll both be the favorites in the district but Im not so sure the 2nd place team gets a playoff spot in this new format. Mater lost a lot, the running back Doriscar, Latavious Brini, Jonathan Francois at LB.
On paper, if there were a year for Doral to win the district, this would be the year. I hear a rumor they could be losing the top WR that committed to the U, Brieon Fuller. The big question to me is Doral's defense. That will be their downfall, they struggled against physical teams.
They'll both be good and the other teams in that district have to step their game up to compete with these two schools. But I dont think either will be as good as last year's teams.

DB4 got a reaction from Zoe Boy in TEAMS i SEE iN THE 2017 PLAYOFFS & TEAMS i SEE MiSSiNG IT❗
-I disagree on Western, I think they win the district. I don't see them being underdogs in many games (Miramar, Dillard?). Even if they don't win the district, I think they'll win 8-9 games so that should get em in. This is the best offense that they've ever had (on paper).
-Vero Beach is in 8A so I don't think they'll be looking at STA. That would be an intriguing game though.
-I'm back and forth on Miami High. They're getting in a ton of talent, but they still have to get past Coral Gables and Columbus, who will both still have loads of talent.
-Cooper City is in 7A, not 8A (their district is McArthur, S Broward, W Broward, Nova, etc) and I think they have a decent shot at the playoffs. McArthur won't be as good as last year to me. And that district doesn't have anyone that automatically scares you

Coral Gables adds 2020 RB Frank Gore. Gore previously was at Westminster Christian of Miami.

Bailey Aleman (QB) previously transferred to Doral from Ferguson. He transferred back to Ferguson, not sure when.
In other news, Miles Hayes from Punta Gorda Charlotte, a 2018 QB, transferred to Doral Academy. He looks like he started Doral's spring game.

You're right lol, anything can happen. All the teams are talented enough to win.
Found another spring game result from today:

STA has a different level of depth than the public schools like CC, NW, Central, BTW. STA has 3-stars sitting on the bench at multiple positions. I don't think many, if any kids with FBS offers are riding the pine for those other schools. All of them are on the field in some capacity. Elijah Moore for instance. He would (should?) have been at Western tearing it up last season, but he went to STA and didn't make much of an impact on the field. Their backup running back is going to a BCS school.
The other thing about STA losing to BTW and IMG losing to American Heritage, those were in week 1 and the kickoff classic, respectively. Give those mega teams time to gel (a few weeks) and it may be a different story in each game. By the time I saw STA play Flanagan last season, they were a well-oiled machine.
I don't think this season's STA team would get through that trio in consecutive weeks in the playoffs. It would all depend on how strong each team is in a given season.

I think this could be the season Western not only wins the district but gets past the first round of the playoffs. If not now, when? Still think Harrison Story needs to take the next step as a QB though. He should have plenty of talent around him.

There is no way I am keeping track of these transfers. I don't think Tallahassee really understands what they have done here without getting political.

That Carol City defense was incredible. I was a sophomore in HS at the time and we played them in the first round of the playoffs that season. We scored 7 points on them and all of their other opponents combined for 6 points the rest of the playoffs. Willie Williams, Vernon Wilder, Kenny Phillips, Ricky Jean-Francois. Amazing defense.

Issue with Carol City is Damon Cogdell gone along with most of the starting defense from last year. Good defensive coach that had a couple years to develop that defense to run his scheme and gel.. With that said They beat a young NW team with 20 seconds left in the game in a shootout.. Just don't think their defense will be good enough to slow down NW this year. They will make the playoffs though.
