Just announced that Miami Northwestern will face Lakeland Aug. 16 at 7pm at...Vero Beach High. So, a somewhat middle ground for each. Weird venue to be sure!

I think we can count on the game "counting" as far as both trying their best to win. If MNW blows Lakeland out, I promise I won't switch up and pretend they didn't try! It's also going to be a really good "gate" for an 11th non-playoff game. Hope the crowd is big!

That central vs Raines game will be a snooze fest. Raines will be lucky to keep it within 30. 
 
and that’s no knock on Raines they’re a extremely solid program for the Jacksonville area. But as shown time and time again, especially down here in south Florida, there’s a difference between being State Good & Nationally elite. 
 
Raines is A Respectable Top 30 Squad in Florida, Miami Central is A Elite Nationally Ranked Powerhouse. And if it wasn’t for them having to forfeit their season last year, more then likely would have been state champions as well. 

I read somewhere that Miami Central might be playing Raines 1st game of the season at Raines. If this is true boy oh boy Raines is in some trouble. If Raines thought Northwestern was something they haven't seen nothing yet when it comes to Central. I could be wrong but had Central not gotten disqualified from the playoffs I think they would have beaten Northwestern and went to states and won. 

I think something is going on at Booker T. Washington. They didn't have a marching band 2024 season and now the football coach is leaving. Also you're right about the talent coming in. I hope Northwestern can play top school if Mater Dei is off the table. Some of these might be good to see.

I didn't make a false statement on anything i said. And Central alumni is not like NW lol... Teddy is not and  never was going anywhere.  And not sure about confirmation of KOC yet. I'm know Venice coming here to play this season is confirmed.

Rumors tend to be unreliable. But, it seems you may have heard something similar to what I heard. And we might see a Coleman-Lawrence QB duel in Orlando. But you never really know until it happens...

I have to check with my people about the KOC... was talking with some Lakeland people at the central game last year. Wouldn’t mind seeing that game.

It wasn't just the ineligible player which he was the fall guy for. It was the illegal scrimmage moreso that did them in when that their star db broke his leg and missed his senior year that did it. His mom sued got paid ALOT. Funny everybody assumes Central would've beat NW in playoffs because they won by 3 points in regular season. A game that came down to the wire. Look at heritage and norland. Vikings won in regular season and were blown out in playoffs. Nobody knows who would've won that playoff game. 

You right. Central alumni isn't on the same playing field as Northwestern alumni which nobody is but Central is the only school well black one that comes close. As for the KOC I'm thinking Lakeland or Seminole. Venice is coming to Miami and it looks like Jones is out.

Because I’m a nutcase I just purchased tickets to all 7 games.  For the last 15 plus years my group of high school football buddies have had at least one of us attend the state finals.  Individuals lived in Ft Myers,Tampa, Leesburg, Lakeland , Clearwater, Daytona Beach, Lake Mary and Apopka.  At the peak my group had 10 people.  Orlando were the glory years.  For a few years the FHSAA provided our group with passes to every game(those were the days).
