you want fair, theres one the comes to the westside of orlando every year, they have lots of cotton candy, some wonderful fried stuff and some carnies that can talk smack better than any 15yr old.

I'm not saying the current one is perfect but I guarantee you if we kept the previous system nothing we change with reseeding or point system or RPI or MaxPreps would ever fix it

So you got your fix and it's all good. But why would the teams in metro that don't cheat get stuck in a no win situation? Now we have a situation like California and certain other states that don't really have a state championship competition anymore. We have sections of the state competing against each other. 
The current situation is not tenable. Pretty soon many metro schools will just stop participating in the state series since it is either that or cheat if you want to win it all. 

Okay so merge 1R, 1S, 2S, 3S and 4S into 3 suburban classes 
 
Merge 1-4M into 3 metro classes 
 
 
That would be fine with me but the metro counties need to be split from the rural counties 

The system won't really address it. Just for those labelled suburban. But what about Tampa Bay, Orlando and Jacksonville or Palm Beach County for that matter. They will still be in essentially the same position they were in. 
Apopka is not a school that aggressively recruits. But it gets little help from the redone system. Yes, currently Columbus is the only real South Florida threat. But if some of the large publics in Dade and Broward decide to do a Miami Central, then we will still be disadvantaged.
I am not going to whine any further on this. But in my opinion only making kids that transfer sit a year unless it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt that there is a real reason for the transfer that is not sports related (such as the death of a custodian, a divorce, and the like) will make the system fairer. 

1) players poaching players on other teams during 7v7 
 
2) coaches texting parents who have some "honor code" to not report it 
 
3) coaches hiring parents for the sole purpose of getting their kid to come to them

I respectfully disagree @nolebull813. The biggest thing is here is open enrollment which was NOT an issue 15-20 years ago. That is a massive issue in larger areas teams can get really good and keep adding talent and then when you get that matchup between two similar sized schools in a state championship with one from South Florida and one from where ever in North or Central Florida, there is a mismatch. 
Please tell me how a team like Suwannee who has 1,112 students and Miami Central who has 1,396 students are on the same leveled playing? They are not. No way they are not. You cannot even compare a rural-type school in Suwannee to a Miami Central in the middle of Miami. There is no comparison. It is night and day between the two.

cpu models still dont understand high school kids.  they are wrong too.
so I went thru a couple of games teams lost to teams they were supposed to beat and, cpu model says win but they actually got blown out in the game.
why?
because its a 16yr old kid, and weather in florida and whatever ever ever.

I believe also you have to win some games as well if not outright win your district which is how some teams can be 2-8 and make the playoffs 
but using Dillard as an example again. outside of our 3 Top 10 opponents , we always went up against a very very good 8-1 Miramar team , & a  7-2 plantation team, beat both of those team by a score of 77-13
we also went up against 6-3 rock creek, 5-4 ft Lauderdale 5-4 Lincoln & now about to go up against 8-0 ely 
tallying up dillard opponents overall record it is 58-14, add that Dillard has 6 of those games I guess that’s how we have the #2 seed right now & can’t go no lower then a #3 seed.

pretty boring to play the same teams year in and year out, only having 1 or 2 teams not in your district you would get to schedule.  
to be in a powerhouse district and be a bottom feeder, would be absolutely awful.  
oh i know, get better, sometimes even the best coaches, nicest uniforms, awesome equipment, etc, flat out doesnt beat jimmies and joes.  i couldnt imagine being forced to play just these teams yearly.  ocps does that and every year the same schools beat the same schools.  winter park beats colonial, university, every year, timber creek beats colonial, university, east river, every year, on and on and on.  boring....

Toho HS is only about 5 years old and up until this season, their football team has not been competitive against established teams. They hired a new coach and found a freshman QB that has potential. The early half of their schedule was against extremely weak teams and they ran up the scores, while bragging that their QB was the "next coming". They finally started playing teams that were capable of winning at the varsity level and Toho and their QB are failing miserably. One can only imagine what Osceola will put up on the scoreboard against Toho in their next game. Hard to feel sorry for Toho after they ran up scores in their first five games.

Not meaning to pile on one of our local schools, Toho Tigers but I must say this has turned into a very disappointing year for them.  They entered with a lot of hype securing the Freshman QB with alot of promise to attend there, new coach from Lk. Nona and all the other chatter. After a 5-0 start and lots of chest thumping regarding passing records being set by this "Phenom" they got beat by an 0-7 Celebration team in their last outing.  The HC with all his varsity experience should have known better as the combined record of their first 5 opponents to date is 7-35.  Toho has lost their last three games in a row and will undoubtedly lose the last 2.  That school has lots of potential with where they are located and I hope they do step it up in every way next year.  

Please talk to the coach at Osceola and tell him to beat Toho like a rented mule 

Anything can happen on the field.  However, barring some miracle I expect Osceola and Haines City to handle business.  It won't be pretty either.

Honestly, for as long as I can recall we have never scheduled bad teams for the reasons you enumerate.  We schedule St. Cloud due to a long standing tradition (no longer a real rivalry) as the fans want it.  The games you describe are always assigned district matchups.  We may schedule teams we are favored against, tossups or slight underdogs as well as those ranked significantly ahead of us.  If you want to truly compete in the playoffs it is what you MUST DO!

What I am saying is not so much your outcome, but the OHS vs TOHO outcome.  Forget about KARMA in that game.  

Our game last night vs Mainland highlights the stupidity of the FHSAA rankings to date.  Mainland was listed as of 10/19 the #1 overall in 3S and these idiots have us with the #17 ranking in 4S.  Can I see Bartram Trail or Lakeland ahead of us?  Sure, but 14 others including Creekside, Springstead, Centennial, Vero and the list goes on.  It's a sad state of affairs.  

fhsaa supposedly frowns on consecutive days of games, supposed to be  a 24hr period in between games for those 6 qtr kids, according to this websites interpretation when rule was implemented last yr

who does keep track of it.  i guess its "scouts honor".  with the nona guy, not alot of honor there nor his staff.  aint never heard a person talk good about him, players coaches or adults. 
losing to haromny 40 to 7, sure put some stank in his mouth last night I am sure.  harmony hadnt scored many points this year if you look at their game schedule, defense points in most games.  
couldnt happen to a better dude....and his freshmen phenom 5 picks and 2 fumbles, osceola gonna put a hurting on that kid.  60-0 is my prediction  running clock in 1st half
