  1. Got mine from Go Fan, thanks for the info... Get Naught-Y
  2. I would think Lakeland will score more than 12 points, way more...can Armwood keep pace is the question. Even undisciplined Lakeland will score. Disciplined they will score more.
  3. Despite the concerns over two Lakeland players, Lakeland's offense was just fine last week, but 166 Yards of penalties did not help. Including 6 personal fouls. Lakeland was sloppy and listless on offense. Just like last years Kathleen playoff game in the cold. The defense got gashed by a well balanced team and the Tech running back. It was this side of the ball that really struggled this week. Again look forward to this game.
  4. Look forward to see this one in person. Look forward to this game.
  5. I was wrong about how good TBT is or were. Lakeland played flat, messy and had a tons of penalties but survived a tough TBT team. Felt like last years Plant Game.
  6. I live in Manatee Counry and will be taking in the Palmetto - Port Charlotte game. Don't have any reason to support either team, except that I live next to Palmetto. Went to Lakeland but won't be driving the hour + for the TBT game tommorow night. (Awaiting next week at Armwood if all works out.) I will go see other schools play depending on the weather even if my team is still in it.
  7. Well having to pull away from anyone at the half will be a first for this Lakeland squad. That might be an advantage for TBT. With running clocks and rather poor weather, Lakeland hasn't scored many points in the second half. Of course they haven't had too either...
  8. Without sounding over confident they will need to be playing on a new level Friday night. I do look forward to this game...
  9. Every game TBT had to step up to competition, Armwood, Gaither and Bloomingdale, they got smooshed. Lakeland is (should) better at all facets. Now Lakeland just needs to go out and win the game. Hope it won't be a fun or close game at all.
  10. A friend of mine asked me how Wiregrass Ranch had made the playoffs- His Daughter goes to Lakeland. I told him they were 7-3 and are a decent team. I also told him that the first two rounds of the playoffs are usually mis-matches in many ways. While I think Tampa bay tech is a better team than wiregrass I don't see their game with Lakeland being that competitive and for him to expect a better game but not a close game. Bring on Armwood!
  11. While watching Lakeland roll to a running clock, I was keeping up with scores from all around, in my neck of the woods Manatee rolled but, Braden River led Palmetto by 21-3 before Plametto scored enough late to escape 24-21 Local fish rag called it a wake up call...
  12. Agreed, sounds like a fine defensive effort.
  13. All good things come to an end. But I wouldn't have missed those rides for the world. And Osceola didn't win a title that year. Which would they have preferred, ending Lakelands winning streak or the 2007 Class 5A title?
  14. Without a title Vero's success will simply be a footnote in the record book. Impressive but not the goal that everyone would really like to have. It's a darn impressive feat but I bet they would love one title to go with it.
  15. Or say Lakeland's 60 game regular season win streak from 1995 to 2001. In which they won two titles, 96 and 99 That sounds good too...
  16. Well both if you can do it. Say Lakeland from 2004-2007 - 53 straight wins and 3 titles sounds good.
  17. Well this team has a better defense in many ways. The FG kicking game is not as good but has been adequate but really hasn't been needed. This team has a better QB at passing even if we haven't seen it in every game. The back up QB started the season won several games and has looked very good as well. Bowman is Bowman even with sitting out two games. This team seems to grind it out more than last years which tended to hit (made a living on) more big plays with Bowman and others ( he has had them this year but they just seem to efficently plod along on drives). It makes their offense seem less dynamic even though it is plenty dynamic. Running clocks, long time consuming drives and not needing to score and really crappy weather has cause the 2nd halves of games to be almost entirely non scoring affairs (Kathleen was called at the half). I think this years team is pretty comparable to last years with the biggest drop off being FG kicking. We await round 1. What happens from there we will see when it comes.
  18. It is as it is. Look forward to seeing how good they are.
  19. Well if you beat them then all will be right with the world! You would think being undefeated would give a team a boost. But frankly we will play them wherever they are, assuming we both get that far.
