I get that, I'm just talking about the fall after BG. Anyway, I may have spoke too soon, Rockets stormed back with 21 unanswered points.
Gotcha, It is puzzling how they went downhill after that performance but I could say we’re looking at it from the wrong pov. BG Chaminade & Norland are all Top 15 teams. It’s weird tho seeing that they were all games a single play decided. All winnable games by many accounts.

From nearly beating the #1 team in the nation at their place on week 0, we now see them getting beaten for probably the 2nd time this season by Norland. I mean dogged right now. And Norland is good, but not THAT good. I know they QB went down in that 1st loss to the Vikings, but this is crazy for a school that had like 30+ transfers and hopes for a natty a couple months ago. @MC Rockets you got the story?
3rd quarter, Norland is up 3 scores on the Rockets.
This has literally happened before.. why are we surprised? Its only been a handful of times Central has ran the whole dade county. In the early 2010s Btw was king of miami, mid 2010s it was a combination of west , cc & cent & btw. late 2010s central & northwestern. Its always been like this, nothing is wrong. You’re just not used to no Norland winning is all cause if this was the west doing this it would be normal

No. Teams are way different from week 1 to week 10. You can’t compare scores either. And we are just gonna forget about Homestead dog walking them?
That’s why you can’t daisy chain games. It doesn’t make any sense.
Palmetto beats Homestead, and Columbus beats Palmetto. So comparing scores, you would say without a shadow of a doubt Columbus will beat Homestead right? WRONG!!!!
Its a slippery slope when it comes to comparing so i’ll still say you punished columbus worse than Lakeland. As those two losses are to two completely different caliber of teams. As you did say homestead stamped CAI so how can A lakeland team that just lost this game be better than columbus in any way? Thats my confusion but Once again I respect your opinion nolebully.

If I were to guess, this is either a quantization artifact from FHSAA secret formula or a possible bias that you've discovered in the formula. Bias is the scourge of all statistics.

I wouldnt agree with some of these. Specifically columbus, I hear you when you say you cant rank them off of coulda/shoulda but they did hang with norland & Beat CAI away. I see lakeland didnt get as much punishment after letting that same team come from behind 3 scores. Pretty backwards wouldn’t you say?

CAI showing up big late against lakeland. up 35-34 going for 2 to make it a 3 pt game.

BTW should be ahead of Lakeland. Norland is on upset alert this week. Two very tough games the last two weeks figures to have them needing a psychological break, if not a physical one. Columbus is not a team you want to take it easy against...
On a physical aspect Columbus doesn’t stand a chance but you are very correct. Them ppl can come out and play a real discipline game & catch you sleeping. Got a good one tomorrow

After watching the Norland/Central game in its entirety I have the following comments which are qualified by the fact that the video quality was poor: 1. For a team that had national title aspirations, Central's kicking and punting unit is very poor. It's a far cry from what it was back in the 2010-2017 period. 2. Overall, regardless of talent, Norland seemed like the more complete team to me. 3. If they meet again in the playoffs and both are at full strength, I expect Norland will win by 10 or more. Why? Norland seemed like the better coached team to me and it will learn more from this game than I expect Central to.
That's my 10 cents for what it's worth.
Being that central’s kicker was out they struggled alot with that

Fun fact, Carol City beat Lakeland and Miami Central in the same season, that prevented MC from becoming a five peat Champ in their first bid....this year Minami Central is going for a five peat but Norland just beat Lakeland and MC as of now,.....will history repeat itself????
Great recount there. It’ll be crazy to see given they feed from the same area. Playoff time will be fun.

With the way central is playing right now I do believe American heritage & sta can beat them.
with all that star power central has on that team central is playing like just some regular old team who just wasn’t coming into the season with legit national title possibilities a few weeks ago. And for them to be 3-3 that’s insanely horrible for this central team.
dillard with losing over 30 transfers and a head coach and a dc & OC lost to 3 solid teams & have been severely punished for it “ranking wise” central shouldn’t be no exception because of this was anybody else at 3-3 with these same loses they would be out the top 25 and probably lower half top 15.
Bro they lost to three top 15 teams in the country, All the start power is a bunch of freshman, sophs & juniors. But hey its your rankings & I respect the opinion.
& With all due respect dillard got punished in who’s rankings? Yall weren’t in anything meaningful

Tbh honest with you take away all the mystique and hoop & holler away from central and what they’re known for and I would say I have them right where they should be. And you know I always respect your expertise when it comes to high school football.
but let’s call it what it is. when it comes to Miami central THIS YEAR. They have severely underperformed. They’re (3-3) & Not only that You come into this season with over 40 new transfers from in state & out added to an already national ranked team. You come in with national title hopes & not only do you call yourself the KING OF FLORIDA , but also the “BEST iN THE NATION”.
& what do you do you follow that up with a 13-6 win over a team that wasn’t even ranked top 100 Florida.
then you proceed to go (0-3) in ALL of your MUST see games. CM,BG,Miami norland.
You then struggled to Beat a solid BTW team. Then you struggled to beat a (2-6) MNW team. Yes I’m from south Florida so I understand the “records go out the window” with true rival games.
but if both teams are hyped & one team “SUPPOSED” to have a vastly better roster then when the dust settles the game shouldn’t even be close. All year we’ve had excuses for each of their loses because of who they’re and believing that like always they’re just gonna flip the switch. Well they’re already 3 loses in, when is the flip suppose to switch ??
See the thing is you seem to only only central to this standard which kind of messes with your ranking. How it BTW higher than heritage & central isnt? you think heritage or sta can beat central deep down in your heart?

While my Explorers football may have stumbled a couple weeks back, our Explorer basketball crew is on a tear as favorites to win a national title. Led by the Boozer brothers (5* and high 4*), they now add Jase Richardson (4*) and his "little" brother Jaxon 3* from BG who isn't even in the starting lineup. Two sets of brothers with pro fathers. Crazy.
The rest of the squad are 3* players - starting lineup brings 4 returning starters from last year's back to back state champions.
Tonight they are playing powerhouse Monteverde Academy, the #1 team year in and year out in Florida and nationally. This years squad is possibly their best ever led by #1 player in his class Cooper Flagg. Watching Cam Boozer and Flagg battle it out will be epic.

We have no way to know what would happen in a possible rematch. We don't even know if the screwy FHSAA ratings will allow Central into the playoffs. But, the double standard around teams who may have a rematch and those who can not have a rematch should be noted. In many other situations- like Bishop Gorman and Chaminade winning narrowly over MC- the one close win serves as bragging rights for a year. Chaminade won by 3 over MC, and that's final. The end. Chaminade > MC for 2023. Norland also wins by 3, on the same field, and folks automatically reserve judgement until if/when there is a rematch.
Central got off to its customary strong start vs. Norland, dominating the first quarter and a half. Norland dominated the last two and a half quarters. I think Norland will be a very tough out for MC.
MC will make the playoffs forsure as they still have 1 or 2 more district games & they are at the 2nd place in the distsict while having toughest SOS. I don’t see them not making it in.

I keep hearing about the ford play, but honestly from rewatching it was a good call he was down. No more forward progress good whistle in my eyes.
In my opinion, Central had the best chance to beat Chaminade from a matchup standpoint, i dont see Norland matching up well against them but thats just hypotheticl.
Chaminade runs FL this year.
You just talking because the refs let JJ fight for yards all night. The kid never went down & feet never stopped moving. I was there & rewatched it but its neither here nor there, Game is over. Just saying it could’ve easily gone the other way so We can’t sit in here and play like Nade is just trashing everything they touch.

That's literally just a guess, you don't know for a fact that Chaminade couldn't make that comeback but they also didn't allow themselves to be down 20-0 to Central their game either
Chaminade also got alot of to go their way against central. Remember, had an early whistle not been blown or Jayden Ford he scores and Central wins. Ijs, That chaminade W could’ve easily been an L & It wasn’t cent who got lucky. Their not tiers ahead of everyone.

Lol Ian say it was a fact. All opinion ya kno, Nade is nice but if they see norland they lose. Good for them that won’t happen.
On another note Central is better than they’re showing. My God I jus wish they would hand the playcalling over to Shuler already. Aj is great but he is out growing the game and costing these kids. They’re literally crumbling in final moments every time & I don’t blame the players for either loss. Coach Aj single bandedly lost them these games.

Yes. Just my opinion. The sheer tenacity just does it. If CMD was down 20-0 against Cent that game is OVERRR. but wit norland that game was never over. Thats how I judge it
What the heck happened to Miami Central his season?

Do you feel had they stuck with 1 qb throughtout the season , things would be different?
IMO they bit off way more than they could chew. Alot of that central team is still underclassed so graduating the class they did in 2022 they should have only replaced what they lost. Instead it seemed they were just accepting kids just because and thats the difference between Coach Jube (New Dade) and Coach Roland Smith (Original Dade). They should revert back.
