Broward, there is one person that is the coordinator of this and my understanding is that the papers are suppose to have a say, but really the teams are usually decided in general before the state finals are even completed by this one person. This is not the only glaring issue with the teams as the Viera QB who had record breaking season got shafted big time with the Aquinas QB getting 1st team in 7A instead (which I have heard from some of the Aquinas faithful agreeing their QB was not a 1st team QB). Really the AP teams had a lot of issues this year.
 
What we are doing with our All-State teams is placing emphasis on production first and then other things second. Recruiting is the not emphasis of these teams, but recognizing what the kids have in the locker in terms of offers can be recognized at the proper time. This is why we are taking the time to research EVERYTHING before even putting teams together. More data to work with the better.

I didn't know that. I agree this is the biggest mistake of the 2015 AP All State Teams.....Samuels played like a 1st team all state CB all year long. I'm honestly shocked. 

Or in a three team district only the district champion should be allowed in the playoffs.

Three team districts are just wrong.  Defeats why runner-ups were allowed to be in the playoffs in the first place.  Should be 4 team minimum in a district; 5 or would be better.  Never thought teams with losing records deserve to be in the playoffs; even my own when we got in.

Love my Aquinas boys, but the Viera QB was a STUD this year and deserved it in my opinion. 

That's a joke....This is the same kid that was a backup QB at Cardinal Gibbons last year. Did he even play 10 games this year?
I think Allen will come into his own and prosper next year but there were more deserving candidates this year in my opinion...

It definitely makes Miramar a stronger contender in 8A. BTW had a young team as well and they keep studs coming in.  BTW will win district and have a tough non district schedule as usual making them tougher for the playoffs and be right back in the thick of things.

We are aware the AP is releasing their All-State football teams all this week, however since Christmas Day we have been working on our All-State teams as well.
 
Unlike the AP we will include 9 classes, Independents, 1A-8A.
 
Each classification will comprise of several teams on it as well as most important stats, explaining why the kids were selected. In addition to the all-state teams, there will be Offensive and Defensive POYs and Coach of the Year, not necessarily going by the Dairy Farmer winners.

I dont like it, Anytime you have a committee decide anything personal agendas will set the tone, You ether play in a district and win or you don't,  Lets settle it on the field and keep politics from deciding the seeding.  

Plantation American Heritage HC Mike Rumph has left the program and is taking a job with Miami as a CBs coach. Peter Ariz reported it on twitter earlier today. 
I don't know much else, but now one of the top jobs in all of Florida is open and it'll be interesting to see who chases after the AHP head job. 
Great hire for Miami though, Rumph being an alum is nice, but he is quickly developing into one of the better young coaches in the area. Honestly thought he'd stay at AHP longer, but when the big boys come calling you answer!

STA is a much larger national program than TC is so they'll get some flak. Not like the Dade County public school don't recruit either...so to me it isn't that big of a deal. Less classes yes. I like slick's model of combining 1A/2A and 3A/4A then leaving 5A-8A as are now. 
One solution is to make all privates play up a class so like TCA would play in 4A instead of 3A. Just a thought. 

As for Mallard Creek their facilities are coming along. They are getting a jumbo-tron I believe this off season. After that they're upgrading their pressbox which is a joke honestly. 
Only a 9yr old school though, so with winning will come better facilities. 

Asheville has an amazing stadium. The view of the mountains from the home side is simply stunning during the day. Have yet to take in a game there, need to at some point.

I'm actually very heavily involved with Charlotte Catholic. We've upgraded the stadium since those pictures were taken. Much better now!

I've always thought Aquinas should increase seating to around 6,000. Just me though. There is a program in North Carolina called Cherokee and they have some amazing facilities! Nothing like Allen or these big schools, but man they are nice. They are a 1A school in the mountains of NC.
