Well, I will say this; Booker T is indeed the favorite to win the 4A  and thats Understandable. Still pulling for My GC Raiders we are still a good team and Powerhouse in the 4A. We will meet BTW again. Ill sail with my Raider and  sink with them too. NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER LAYDOWN!

As for Pahokee, Im not sure. They are still a Threat in my eyes in the 1A. Ill be pulling for them devils to go all the way to the state.

IMG does work hard - they just have a goal of a National Title versus a State Title.  They are not ruining buying their way to any  FHSAA State Championships and Nationally speaking - there is no governing body.  It essentially comes down to the individuals running the national poll.
 
Do you know how many elite basketball programs operate like IMG nationwide?   
 
Like sharkbait pointed out, IMG is a great measuring stick to see how where teams are nationally.  To be honest with you there were probably 5-10 teams in state that compete with or beat IMG on a given night in FL in my opinion. - No Columbia was not one of them.

with D1 offers from UCF and a few MAC schools would likely only get in on certain Defensive Formations and rotating/subbing...  and what people don't understand is there are probably 10-15 schools in SFL (Palm Beach, Broward and Dade) with similar circumstances but you just don't hear about them.   I think Flanagan last year put their 4th and 5th DBs in D1 schools.  Can you imagine not starting on your HS Varsity team but you are good enough to play D1 and get an offer?   Crazy!  That is South Florida HS Football for ya.
 
Overall a good move for Dorvil to transfer to Deerfield Beach and great for Deerfield Beach to receive him.  It worked out great both!

I gotta go with Jackson myself... I've seen this team spring game and they have players... It helps that my church is up the street from the school so when I'm in the allapattah area I usually go check them out... Their dline is solide and have playmakers in the secondary.... It helps that Luke is coaching their.... Their getting some players on top of what they have...

That is just what I could find, and that is since early spring.   All the power to Cocoa as they should have a very strong team this year.  What really irks me about this though is the fact that if this had happened to this degree in a Broward or Dade school there would be whining, uproar and calling for an investigation.  Yet, it happens in Cocoa and a guy from Broward  gives the update on it ?   So no one else out there on this board heard anything about Cocoa loading up with what is likely 10+ transfers? LOL,  It is not just this board but generally speaking people always find time to point the finger at South Florida transfers yet when it happens in other parts of the state they become quiet as a mouse.  Why is that?

Miami Northwestern vs Miami Jackson. History of this rivalry dates back to the 1940's when D.A Dorsey would play Booker T. Washington, then in 1955 Dorsey become a educational school and Northwestern opened. 1955 started the Northwestern vs Booker T. Washington game. 1967 Northwestern and Jackson started the rival and still in existence. Jackson started out as an all white school but when segregation ended blacks were sent to Jackson, thus making it a majority black school hitting the 70's Overtown area split into 3 schools Jackson, Miami high and Miami Beach but I think the volk of the of them went to Jackson. Biggest attendance record was in 1998 Soul Bowl 1 and 2. Soul Bowl 1 46,474 and Soul Bowl 2 35,000.

Jackson existence 1898 but by 1939 it was officially a high school dropping all other grade levels. Northwestern leads series 32-14

Agree, but hard the question the way State Champions handle their summers as well - even if they do not really do 7 v 7s.  

Like I tell people...Winning summer football(7 on 7) is like winning a game of Monopoly. It means nothing. there are a lot of teams that kill the 7 on 7 circuit, but come fall 11 on 11 they win between 4-6 games tops. Like my son says "wonk! wonk! wonk!" 

MC does maybe 3-4 the most... They barley do good in it anyways lol... Like for the Duke tournament half the team was in college trips while maybe the JV team was actually competing in that tournament

We didnt do 7 on 7 before 2014 and it ended with runner up and first round loss, 2015 we return to 7 on 7 and have best passing season in Columbia history, I think it has a huge impact for us but then again some it helps a lot, others doesent, but it is good to have and it gives us more time to pratice passing and pass defending which are 2 things we will have to get right by season to have ability to make a run

I think some of the reason Central, STA and Flanagan don't field their HS teams may be because many of their players are doing the private teams and 7 on 7 leagues.  Fire, Strong Arm and stuff like that..... So they are still getting reps in.

Think about this.  Outside of BTW, you have heard very few 7 v 7 news on the other State Champions.  Trenton, University Christian, TCA, Bishop Moore, Miami Central, STA and Flanagan.  I know down south- Miami Central, STA, and Flanagan have done very little (if any) 7 on 7 this year.
Another note is 2015 Coconut Creek may have never lost a 7 on 7 game last year ( I think maybe  56-0 or something) and were declared 7 on 7 National Champions after winning a couple very competitive 7 on 7 National Tourneys.   Great team in the fall but they did not see the playoffs in 5A.

My personal opinion on Miramar is the coaching staff. South Florida is completely different or maybe it's the same being that I rarely keep up with Central, North and the panhandle. But yeah if you don't have the right coaching staff you won't go far. When we had Cogdell we went to states twice and pretty much owned the district except for the old glory days of Cypress Bay. Talent was consistently coming in and out. When Cogdell left we stayed optimistic but things just went worser being disqualified from the playoffs and the next year not making the playoffs. Don't you all remember how good Northwestern was, shoot you couldn't beat them to save your life and not look at them. My point is without a good coach you won't make it far.
