Im rooting for Vero but I dont see Miami Northwestern losing similar to Dwyer.
This is a completely different team.
I see Vero either pulling the game out in a nail bitter or NorthWestern pulling away in the second half.
It will be a lot closer then that prediction, I feel like many people think NW is a subpar team due to there performance against Chaminade.
Chaminade doing that same beat down to 90% of the state.

I agree, the other backs are a great Duo, really like the way Hickson looked against APK.
I wouldn't say TC front seven is better than APK, but I seen there game against Lake Whales.
They have a 2 Studs on the line that jumped out to me in the game against Lake Whales.
A big interior lineman (I belive last name Grant) and i very quick athletic DE (I believe last name Kramer) both dominated against Lake Whales
I do see Osceola's defense giving Treasure Coast offense trouble all game and that being the deciding factor for either a close game or blowout.

Putting the participation of Taevion aside, as I have stated repeatedly our other backs can get the job done.  Especially working behind that offensive line, as demonstrated in the Apopka game starting midway through the second quarter.  I have an extremely difficult time believing TC defense front to be better than the APK front seven, as they were extremely stout and we still found running room; their #4, Lorenzo Payne IV was outstanding.  Our defense also contained their running attack most of the night outside a couple of electric runs by their QB, Ty Davidson and TC offensive scheme is very similar without an athlete running it like APK has.  Outside the possibility of getting "HOMERED" as some on this forum have indicated happens at that stadium, I like our chances.  GO KOWBOYS!!

Not sure if Swint is back, hes week to week.
But I see this game similar to last year, close most of the game with both teams having great Defenses.
And then Osceola pulling away at the end.

Alot of folks dont know but The west is a very pup like team. literally all 26-27 kids. We have a freshman this year starting with the #2. Literally has never happened in bull history and their has been some great 2’s that have came through this program(tim brown, aldarius johnson, nathaniel noel, deandre baker) When coach max left he left an empty cabinet with a lot of underclassmen so its a big rebuild going on. Michealee is getting it right as we speak he just needs time
But dont let that fool you one bit into thinking that showing against chaminade was who they were. understand vero is not chaminade by a long shot & the bulls will come into this matchup with a big chip on their shoulders ready to dominateee.

Speaking of West Orange, they Lost Trevor but picked up a QB from Illinois. (Seen on twitter)
Jack Reilly, seen him on the Midwest Boom on the 7v7 circuits.

Yep, youth in the D-line showed especially vs their big back Shields-Dutton with many opportunities to get him on the ground and not doing so.  But as you point out those 9th and 10th graders got lots of reps which is what they need being talented but green.  It will take a few more games in the fall before they start holding their own.  The 9th grader that did stand out and pressured the QB (1 sack) consistently was DE Blaze Jones.  Plus the QB transfer is currently rated in the top 10 of the 2026 class in Florida ahead of Michael Clayton, the starter for Edgewater.  Again, time will tell.

Spot on, the loss of Gunner suprised me, couldn't get anything going on Offense with the WR at QB.
Edgewater Defense was smart and focused on neutralizing the running game (Taevion) with bodies all in and around the box.
This is where the North Florida Qb (A.P) will help spread defenses out and open holes for Taevion who i see having another huge year!
Suprisingly D line was the weakpoint to me, which is usually a strong point for Osceola.
Im sure Coach V will get that group turned around and ready.
Alot of good reps for younger guys this spring, the gauntlet schedule will show us how good this team really is.

On balance Edgewater did get the best of Osceola, but the score wasn't indicative as 10-point lead in the 1st quarter were while the 2's were playing.  They were also gifted another TD with a fumble down near the red zone. Our starting WR playing the role of QB also threw a pick as well as missed several throws as the return of Gunner at QB did not materialized as he will focus on just wrestling his senior year.  Overall, a sloppy game by both teams as you pointed out the errors by Edgewater but zero turnovers vs our two.  Threw a bunch of youngsters in the fire and they steadily got better as the game went on.  We finally will have a "REAL" QB after school ends with his family moving into our area from North Florida which should make a huge difference the way we will look offensively.  Finally, Taevion played only 2 quarters (1st-JV) sitting out the entire 4 quarter to give several Freshmen some looks at RB.  I think our staff got out of the game what they wanted.  We will be extremely happy if the pundits write us off after this game.

Don't remember seeing this, but please refresh my fading memory. Adjusting enrollment numbers
a little may be in order :
    4M vs 4S
    3M vs 3S
    2M vs 2S
    1M vs 1S
All eight teams above are "Champions" either Metro or Suburban Champions. But the four game winners are "Florida State Champions."  All the older gentlemen out there remember pro football's AFL and NFL's  separate championships. The FHSAA could add the four "Super Bowls" and many of  our differences with the brackets would go away. Food for thought. Pardon me if this dead horse has already been buried. It's new to me

Tonight I attended my 13th Regional Championship Final with my alma mater Mainland High School. I've now witnessed 8 region title wins and 5 losses since 1998. And the opponent Jenson Beach was, without question, the weakest third playoff round team I've ever seen. Unless a dozen starters or so missed the bus to the stadium, how did they win 10 games ? They were small, slow, and not particularly athletic. When the members of "3 Suburban" were first announced many thought it appeared very thin with quality playoff contenders. Nothing I've seen so far has changed my mind on the subject. Mainland next plays at Ft Myers Dunbar and Lake Wales host Columbia High from Lake City. In two weeks one of these survivor's will be a state champ. Why not Mainland ?  Buc Forever.

Kowboys defense controlled the game all night with a better performance than the last couple of weeks.  Will skip getting into the weeds regarding the game, but Vero couldn't have managed more than 100-150 total yards for the game.  Actually, could have been even more lopsided than the final score.  Props to #1 Jacobs of Vero as he played his tail off and I can see why he is so highly regarded; he really didn't do much offensively, but defensively he had several important pass breakups that if he wasn't making those plays it would have been a rout early.    They just didn't have enough players like him to match up with the Kowboys.   Now on to the re-match with Lakeland we have been anticipating since the 3rd game of the season.

You do understand there last game was against a top 10 nationally ranked team, so if they lost by 6 tds, what would have happen to a team lets say like Plant?
They went 3-1 in there district and actually challenged themselves, as stated TC is extreme example but yes they should be rewarded a playoff berth they are one of the best teams in that region.
Your just looking specifically at Records, they are thrown out the window in the playoffs doesnt matter if you were 9-1 or 3-6, best teams should be in the playoffs competeting with this already watered down playoff format.

I would like to see them get in, they went 3-1 in the district and one of the best teams in that region.
I want the best teams in the playoffs, they did everything they could in there district (unfortunately fell short to VB) and I love that they challenged themselves. Tired of all these teams making excuses or sneaking there away into the playoffs by playing a medicore schedules.
This year has been the best HSFB year to me in a while, the Top teams took the iniative to actually schedule competitive games!
Sure TC didnt win those games, but watching film on the games they more than held there own with top teams throughout Florida.
Much rather them play a team like Jesuit that came down to a 2 point conversion compared to staying in the area and playing a local team (Ex: Westwood 40+ blowout).
It could also be to Columbias point, some local teams might have not wanted to schedule TC. (Speculation in TCs point but it does happen.)
