  1. Well, at least 1 Pinellas team is guaranteed to make state semi-finals. That's nothing to sneeze at. Not yet any way, lol.
  2. Good question and I can't answer that. Whatever Coach Johnson is doing, he is maintaining that philosophy.
  3. Thank you sir. Clicking this link will take you directly to your signature section under settings: Signature

We'll chop up the math of how many winners won on the road after the season, lol.
  5. @ColumbiaHighFan2017classWe obviously see things differently regarding Columbia/Lake Wales schedule, strength and everything in between. Let's make this fun! Here is my proposal: If Lake Wales/Columbia meet and Lake Wales loses, I'll add ColumbiaHighFan2017class was right and the Great Columbia Tigers defeated an Overrated Lake Wales Highlanders Team to my signature. If Lake Wales/Columbia meet and Columbia loses, you add Nulli was right and the Great Columbia Tigers lost to an overrated Lake Wales Highlanders Team in your signature. If Lake Wales loses this week and Columbia wins, I'll add ColumbiaHighFan2017class was right and Lake Wales was so overrated that the Highlanders couldn't stay alive long enough to face the Mighty Columbia Tigers to my signature. If Columbia loses this week and Lake Wales wins, you add Nulli was right and the Mighty Tigers were scared to face Lake Wales and chose to bow out a week early to your signature. If both Columbia/Lake Wales lose this week, it's draw. Also, feel free to change any winning message to your heart's desire. Are you in?

Winners will find a way to win regardless of the distance.
  7. Great summary! I called it back in March and it's almost scary to see it unfold. Let's Have FUN! Air it out here!

That in turn would also make Columbia overrated. However to answer your question, I would say the best team won. Good Luck!

What would that say about the Tiger program if they manage to lose to Lake Wales who's best win is barely a top 100 team? Hell, if the Tigers even make it passed this week?

Naples I can see. Columbia, not so much.
  11. If the Naughts performed the way they did last last night, a loss is definitely possible. First half was a total Shit Show.
  12. Cut the drama and just mention the schools Darter, lol.
  13. I don't know. I said months ago that the metro/suburban reclassification was an opportunity for certain counties to shine, Pinellas being one of them. Time will tell.
  14. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think you'd have to go back to 1981 when Evans (Orlando) defeated Manatee in Rd 1.
  15. HELL NO! Historical results don't dictate this years outcome, lol.
  16. A certain g.p.a. must be maintained to remain academically eligible for athletics. One could argue based on that preface alone that athletic participation (albeit extra-curricular in nature) is not possible without the sufficient grades. In other words, everyone is a student but to be a student athlete certain minimum requirements have to be met. No matter the activity, the academic element will always be there. Don't be fooled. School by nature is competitive: Who gets the best grades? Who can get the most scholarships? What school has the best choice programs to snatch academic talent? That translates into better test scores which will in turn funnel additional dollars to higher performing institutions and penalize lower performing schools. Until all schools are "academically" created equal, there will always be a reason to transfer for academic reasons whether it involves a student athlete or not. Certainly a case for the courts, lol.
  17. Well.... The refs made the call. Did they get it right? LOL. Who says there's no need for instant replay in hs ball.
  18. That sounds like a fun project for next year, lol. I might have to work that out.
  19. Who determines what a tough schedule is and how is that rated? Opinion is one thing. How is it validated statistically?
  20. Over the next several seasons, it will be interesting if this trend continues especially in the suburban classes.
  21. Lake Gibson beat Dillard 26-22 en route to a 13-1 finish in 2016 with their only loss coming to Carol City in the finals 14-6. The year Dillard defeated LG was 2015.
