Perspective got a reaction from MC Rockets in USA Today Preseason Top 25
To their credit, the national private schools are showing a greater tendency to play each other.   And when this happens, only one of the two teams can win.   When you're ranking 10,000 plus high schools, the pollsters tend to prefer undefeated teams in the top 25 or so.
I, too, was surprised to see STA ranked #1, especially with the questions mark at the QB spot.  Personally, I've got Lakeland beating STA in a rematch of last year's 7A championship game.

Unless the Clemson O-Line is suiting up for Gonzaga this year, I think you may have copied/pasted the wrong link.

Games will be at Bolles School. Not only is there a problem with the grass at the pro stadiums, but security costs also make it almost cost-prohibitive to have a high school game now at a stadium unless you have millions lying around with nothing to do.
As for Tampa... until they get away from the centralized funding madness... this kind of event will never happen there.

And for Wharton, I'll go with Vernon Hargreaves.  College ball at UF; now with the Bucs.

What I wrote was confusing and thanks for pointing out.  I should not have included Collinsworth in the exercise.  His claim to fame was receiving.  I fixed above.

I'm confused.  The prompt question started out:  " Of the following 8 great FL hs quarterbacks who also played that position in the NFL . . . ."  So, that means the person had to play the position of QB in both high school and in the pros, right?.  I don't recall Collinsworth ever playing QB in the pros.   According to his NFL stats, he had a total of 7 rushing carries for -15 yards (I'm guessing most all of these were reverses) and a grand total of one pass attempt (an incomplete pass; possibly thrown after taking the handoff on a reverse).   Did he actually line up under center (or take a shotgun snap) in a game?   Does that mean that every player who takes a wildcat snap in the pros has played the position of QB?

I honestly believe that you're looking at this through rose-colored glasses.   Here's a quick summary of what took place.
The bill that ultimately passed the legislature was sponsored by Kelli Stargel, a State Senator from Lakeland (who currently sits on the FHSAA Public Liaison Advisory Committee).  The legislation was introduced a year or two after the FHSAA ruled ineligible five football players who transferred to Lakeland.   Those sponsoring the legislation dressed it all up in academic clothing ('let the math prodigy go to whatever school is best for him; let the clarinet player choose whatever school she thinks is best for her'), but don't let this fool you.   This was all about athletics.   The folks in Polk County had an ax to grind and Stargell became their lumberjack.  This was a power play, clear and simple, to take away some of the control that the FHSAA had, especially with regard to transfers.  And, for obvious reasons, the folks in Lakeland have been happy with the results.

Bottom line, think what you will about the FHSAA, but on the issue of transfers, their hands got tied by the state legislature a few years ago.  Note the foreshadowing quote from the 2013 article about why the FHSAA opposed the legislation:  the FHSAA claimed the new law could "pave the way for unfairness on the field and reduced quality of tournaments."   Roger Dearing and the folks at the FHSAA knew what would happen if they didn't have the ability to police transfers . . . and this is exactly what we're now seeing.
