Another year, another coach will be coming in to lead the Dillard (Fort Lauderdale).
On Friday, J.T. Wilcox at the Miami Sports Tribune reported that the school had hired alum and Virginia Union University offensive coordinator Toriano Morgan to lead the program.
I’m told that @DILLARDFTBALL has named Toriano @Toriano81 Morgan it’s new head football coach.
Morgan spent past few years at Virgina Union University and was the offensive coordinator to the 2017 HBCU Spirit of America Bowl.

Morgan replaces Ricky Hemingway who lead the team during the 2017 season with a 6-5 overall record, the District 6A-15 championship. The Panthers were knocked out by Miami Carol City in a shutout home loss in the regional quarterfinals.
No stranger to Broward County, Morgan is a well-known coach having previous stops as an assistant at McArthur (Hollywood) and Boyd Anderson (Lauderdale Lakes) as well a stop at Dillard.
During his time as offensive coordinator the past four years at Virginia Union, Morgan’s offenses averaged over 400 yards and 30 points per game, according to the Miami Sports Tribune. Morgan was a recent candidate to become head of the CIAA program, according to the Richmond Free Press, but did not get the position.
