Much to the dismay of many posters to this message board, and like my role model, the great 45th and 47th President Donald Trump, great men cannot be kept down! After a year of inactivity, I have decided that the many posters to this message board, even though most do not deserve it, will receive the honor and privilege or my brilliance, logic, reason, and overall great knowledge of high school officiating! I have educated, informed, taught lessons, and inspired many, and the like the great American and inspiration, President Donald Trump, I will not be denied! I don't care what any poster has to say, and I will hold any poster accountable on the subject of high school officiating. You're welcome, and the honor and privilege is all yours!

Facts. For example. When I was coming up all I knew was Dillard. My entire mother side went to Dillard. When I got to high school I went to Dillard, played for Dillard, graduated from Dillard. 
 
since I started in my first game for Dillard in 07 I have not missed a game home or away since then. So for the last 17 years. Every Friday night, Saturday night, or on rare occasions mon or Thursday nights I’ve been blessed there. Working 40+ hour work weeks, taking care of my grandmother whose in her last stage of Alzheimer’s, taking care of my son who was autistic. 
wether it was walking, catching the city bus, the train (when we played Boynton in Boynton back in 2016), or catching a ride (when we played pahokee in pahokee on a Monday night). I’ve been blessed to be able to make it to every game. 
 
and that’s because I love my my school through & through. Bad years & good years. I bleed blue & gray like a crazed maniac lol, and wouldn’t trade it for the world. 

I think this really shows us what we have in our society that people are upset that a potential cheater was told on instead of BEING PISSED THAT SOMEONE CHEATED IN THE FIRST PLACE 
People rather defend the cheater because winning above all else runs people's mindsets then they sit there and whine about trophy chasing in a society mess THEY CREATED 
People create the problems that they bitch about 

What the bottom line is, which usually gets buried, IF THE TEAM (allegedly) BROKE RULES, THE FAULT IS WITH THE TEAM!!!! END OF STORY!!!!!  You can woulda, coulda, shoulda till your lips fall off……SMH

We made the trip down from Fort Pierce to this one. It went smoothly until we hit Broward, and then it was a white knuckle ride from there as the rush hour(s) traffic started to pick up. We ate at Havana Harry's in Coral Gables. I highly recommend this place, but the parking is a little tight (I was driving a RAM 1500) and the portions are ENORMOUS. After supper, it took us about 45 minutes to travel the 14 miles to Traz Powell. That's a nice facility. Good game, but the wind was crazy and played havoc with the passing and kicking games for both teams. Columbus missed an early opportunity with a deep pass that the WR dropped, but NW had the better team. They are big, physical and have plenty of speed. They put a little freshman in at RB named Deuante Gatlin who only got 2 or 3 carries, but he looks so explosive. Anyway, we had a great time and I liked listening to the old timer NW fans discussions during the game. We'll definitely make another trip for a game there.  
We wound up getting a room in Kendall because my night vision isn't what it used to be, and we had breakfast the next morning at a solid no frills Cuban cafe called Munchies, and then grabbed some churros to take back home at Pinecrest Bakery. Those things hit the spot for a Friday night postgame snack after watching Westwood v Inlet Grove.

For some of the newer posters, it's usually very good as the regular season comes to an end. I believe Laz uses the spreads of all the games, and then runs some sort of Monte Carlo simulation to give each team a power rating.

Well said . . . although this may be the first time I can recall seeing a "chess" reference on a high school football message board.  

Prediction model uses margin of victory, I presume?  Right now, without MoV in the rankings, the rankings are garbage.  At the end of the year they will get better but still need MoV for a power ranking, which what this is supposed to be.  It sounds like FHSAA in their mathematical non-wisdom still chooses to eliminate the SINGLE BIGGEST ACCURACY FACTOR in any power rankings.  Elo Chess, which is a ranking system based upon W-L record only, requires thousands and thousands of games (chess matches) to converge to an acceptable confidence interval.  You only get 10 games in a season and not even close to a sufficient number of games to become accurate.

Defense wins championships... Cocoa played a great game but made the mistakes that beat you in the end. Like 3 int's.

IMG is as good as they come. Cocoa has fast team. Not so sure of Cocoa's size compared to the Ascenders, IMG will be super tough. Cocoa can win if they can play 4 strong quarters and not be bullied on either side af the line.

If Cocoa can start out fast offensively then they can definitely put up the points to force IMG to battle from behind. The defense will have to come up with some key stops and make adjustments at the half. It'll come down to the line play
