...so disappointing that so many of these teams did not show up for the "state championship" later in the month.  I guess teams like Booker T and Carol City wanted no part of Columbia or Sandalwood.

Like Columbia said, we never know when our journey ends. So we need to make the best of what we have got and enjoy the ride as it occurs. It hurts, though, 33 is too young to die from natural causes. 

Florida HS football legend Tyrone Moss (from Pompano Beach Ely) has passed away. Also played for the U. He was 33.

I've gotta few teams that come to mind...... 
Vero Beach-they went from playing below average and average Palm Beach County/Treasure Coast teams to playing defending state champs who are in a down year
Dwyer-will avoid Dade and Broward County teams in the regular season 
Lakeland-they haven't beaten anybody like that in a longtime, Carol City shut em down two years in a row but they won states tho
I've got more teams but I wanna see what y'all can come up with...

Also, I told y’all look out for Jackson. That’s before they got Fuller. I think they could challenge AHP and Gibbons for the district title now.

Man the only reason ppl say that cause you prompt them to be better then what they are.. Columbia is a respected consistent program that just can’t win a championship..

Life is all about the journey.  Like the kids today, I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off chasing "success" and happiness, until I finally figured out that the rings, wealth and titles meant nothing to me later in life.  The kids will figure it out as they get older, like most of us do.  What concerns me most is the older folks playing upon their insecurities for their gain, and it is happening at a younger and younger age now.

Look at the college level,  coaches go job to job there and no one complains but are critical of athletes doing the same
 
If people hate these transfers they better take same stance when coaches do it

I didn't see them whining because no one from STA post here because you ran him off.    

There gonna still be good.. It’s just TuTu played 4 years of varsity and you can’t replace that experience that easily.. They will be in runnings for a state chip

To be real, Our fans needed that badly! We took some beating  over the years. Myself and im sure Muckboy561 can back me up on this. We are happy to have Coach Hester back. We didnt win the big one ,but He's pushing our boys in the right direction not just as players but as men.  Raider Pride is back!  Lets just hope the fans know we wont win it all, A state title may or may not come but we need to stick with who we have and just be fans!

And I can respect that.. That’s the mentality I know a lot of schools down here have! Don’t COMPLAIN about how much “so call stars” other schools have.. They strap me up and leave it on the field.. The muck always have my respect !!!

I know I barely post during the summer but I have some announcements to make and new information to release.
1. If you haven’t yet, Please follow @BrendanJ_Duval on twitter.
2. I will be covering two separate regions for next season, NorthEast Florida And North Central Florida where I will be able to keep track of teams in Ocala and Tallahassee now. 
3. On twitter before the season begins, I will make predictions on who will win 5A-8A districts and 1A-4A regions and that will be on twitter. 
4. Before the season begins, I will also make my Preseason rankings for both regions as well.

...just a thought.  For many years the public schools got the best of the private schools, so the latter probably don't feel badly about having the upper hand for now.  Schools like Cardinal Gibbons and Chaminade have been doormats for much of their existence.
Glades Central was as dominant in the 1970's and 1990's as some of these private schools are now.  Everyone has their time in the sun.  Let folks enjoy it.  As history has taught us, it normally doesn't last forever.

Yes, we have a long history with crushing private schools. True, Glades Central hasnt been the same team for awhile, but we still have this reputations. 
 
We fear no team! 
American Heritage plantation wants to play we wont avoid them.... Just like we're not ducking Cocoa this year. Win lose or draw we will play the best! 
 
We didnt lay down to Deerfield and we were expected to be beaten 49-0 by some critics. Gc didnt look to bad having 30 kids against 70+ strong with Deerfield. 
Im aware Gc didnt look to good up front, but best believe thats not being over look.
