I would have to say Trenton, Andrew Thomas left for the winningest program in the state of Alabama. He went 60-5 played in 3 state title games and won 2 rings in 5 years while in Trenton. Not sure if any of the above listed have a resume that looks like that.

I'll put it to you really simple.  If you can't win in the playoffs beating Bolles is irrelevant at that point for that season.  I would rather my team lose to a ZERO win team during the regular season and WIN states, than beat a very good team or two and get spanked on my own field in the playoffs.  Numbers speaking, I would bet Columbia has possibly the most unbalanced regular season win/playoff record to have not won states - post the leather helmet era!
 
Look at the history of Columbia that you post on your signature.  Case in point.  How do you have all of that history but cannot win states in 50 years????
 
Columbia has been to the Regional Finals 9 TIMES in the last 20 years and NEVER WON STATES?!?!  How is that possible?? Only got to States 1 time in those 9? What does that tell you? 
 
 That is proof that Columbia can't play with the big dogs when it counts!  

If you coach for the money you are going backwards. It probably works out to about $2 a hour if you figured it out. You do it because you love it. Now I'm not saying it shouldn't be more but everyone knows what the deal is. I don't get paid to go hunting or fishing and they are my hobbies but coaching you do get something at least .

The same team that was the runner up last year in that district and added a state champion coach, Jefferson Co. Bell beat Lafayette last year by 2 Tds, unfortunately for Lafayette they may have a streak of non playoff appearances on their hands. I mean really, Lafayette lost to Jefferson 54-0 last year and went 3-7 and you said they "have a legitimate chance to win state" not bashing Lafayette but come on, really??
 
Columbiafan, Madison is the Alpha in 1A, last year was a aberration with that Trenton team. You will see the Trentons', Ft Meade and Dixie's bubble to compete with Madison from time to time but the constant will be Madison Co. Too big a talent pool to choose from year in and year out. They graduated 26 seniors last year and have 20+ seniors again. Let me give you Trentons'senior classes the last 5 years, 6,6,11,9,17, it don't compare. When you got more horses you probably got a better chance to win the race.

Teams like Hamilton, Newberry or Lafayette won't even make the playoffs, how could you say they could win state??? That's like saying Keystone Heights could win 4A. SMH.

Davin Shuck is the QB Broward and he is pretty good. Threw for a bunch of yards last year. If the kid was 6'3 he may have offers but I think he's about 5'10 165lbs. Don't know alot about the rest of them but that kid is pretty dang good.

The kids that transfer to Columbia are trying to go to Valdosta St, the kids transferring to STA are going to Alabama. See the difference?? Suwannee, Hamilton and Baker combined may have 2-3 D1 kids on all of their rosters combined, and you aren't getting those guys. Even if you did that's not enough compared to the S Fla guys unfortunately. I glanced at the transfer thread and saw in the last 2 weeks STA has gotten a 3 and 4 star player transfer in and That's not going back to January. It's like they are shopping at the grocery store to prepare dinner and you are shopping at the 7/11. Which dinner will be better??

Your last paragraph gatorman is exactly my point. Something should have been done prior to the multitude of schools going independent.

After watching the video I think that they are about to screw up high school football for a while. I felt like he was trying to talk everyone into a pyramid scheme or a time share condo.  It baffles me that Nebraska is going to be the standard of high school football that we need to pattern ourselves after. Oh and 70% of the schools don't like the system as it is,  I would imagine thats the 70% that didn't make the playoffs.

So the FHSAA sent out stuff and coaches voted what they wanted. Here is what I don't understand, have 70-80 independent schools and they sent them these votes also to try to convince them to join back in. They are NOT a part of what we are doing so why would they have a say. They chose to do their own thing so why do they have the same influence as a St Joe or Dixie Co that hasn't walked away from the FHSAA???? Just makes no sense to me.
