    I read @Jullian's comments about Grubbs with interest. He stated that he missed his receivers most of the night against Cardinal Gibbons. He largely did the same against Osceola each time he went deep. It may be that I may have overestimated his overall accuracy based on the receiving group he had last year. Three of the 4 were seniors and have graduated and they have a "new bunch". To the eye they all look the part; and he has about six to work with instead of four like he did last year. But it just seemed to me that the route running and passing were off. I expect as the season progresses,  it will improve. If it does, LM's offense will be like a well oiled machine and I can see a potential showdown with Venice in the state title game or semi finals. 

    It was 2007.  Osceola upended Lakeland twice that season for the district title, then in the playoffs.

    As for the backend of the defense, we shall see. That unit has 4* Ole Miss commit Keon Young, who plays 7-on-7 with several Central players/coaches; 3* West Virginia commit Sammy Etienne; 3* USF commit Gillis and a player (Kayvon McKinney) who has eight (8) interceptions in his last 28 quarters of football. Maybe they get torched Friday!

    The strength of the defense is speed and quickness. How good is the defense? I have a pretty strong hunch, but will wait to disclose this until Friday ;)

But I do knew a few years back when they were really really good they hosted Carol City in back to back years I believe and both years they couldn’t contain the speed of carol city and they were getting bombed all over the field.     I have nothing against Lakeland so I actually hope it’s a good game & if Lakeland was to win it would most def shock the nation. 
     

    you know your naughts so maybe you can educate me what do you guys bring in this year and if you guys were to win this weekend what area of your team do you believe would be the reason why.

    2015 CC 38-7 Lakeland.  Same season CC defeated LG 14-6 for the title
