It would actually be more fair if Hillsborough went against the Bay Area’s best from Pinellas, Polk, Pasco and Manatee. A true border war

Yes. God loves a winner. So when you win, it means God loves you more. 0-10 teams better watch out because they have a half a foot in the lake of fire

Back to doing more 2025 Schedule Analysis as we get spring football started and trying to do as many teams as I can a day. With 600 schools, there is a lot to cover in such a short amount of time.
You will need a Premium Season Ticket Membership ($59.99/year) or a Season Ticket Membership ($39.99/year) to view these breakdowns as they go just beyond posting a simple schedule. This looks at the workings of the schedule with thoughts and analysis from yours truly. There is also a 24-Hour Ticket which you can view select articles for just $4.99. Right now, there is a promotion running on the Premium Season Ticket for 25% off through May 24 with code SPRING25.
Here are the teams I have done a 2025 Schedule Analysis for:
    Beachside
    Clearwater Central Catholic
    Dunedin
    East Bay
    Jones
    Matanzas
    Manatee
    Middleburg
    Venice

Nulli Secundus reacted to Longtime Observer in Potentially bigger than expected resignation in Polk County
Victory Christian (Lakeland) head coach Kendrick Stewart stepped down last week. While Victory never became super-elite under Stewart, they did have a mostly successful program that typically featured at least a few really good players that would've otherwise helped other schools. It's pretty likely some of their better players will end up elsewhere for 2025. One has announced he's at Lake Gibson already. Others may do the same. While Stewart and his OC Chris Griffin are Lakeland Dreadnaught legends, rarely if ever did a Victory star player transfer to Lakeland. It's very possible Lakeland Christian and/or Lake Gibson will get the most benefit from his resignation. People living in Polk County know what will happen far better than I do...

Nulli Secundus reacted to Joshua Wilson in Florida HS Football launches The Florida Power Rankings Index
    Hello Everyone!
Yesterday, I launched The Florida Power Rankings Index with girls flag football getting the first run of the system.
Over the last three-plus years, it has been a labor of love trying to figure out a system that would work, something that could emulate what the great Joe Pinkos had for many years with tackle football and girls' flag football. I miss Joe greatly, and I feel I have succeeded at this point with what has been launched.
So far, based on Flag Football games Monday and Tuesday that have been reported, the system was 107-27 with predictions with a correct percentage at 79.9%
As such, I have scaled this for both sports and I am excited to see the full effort come about for football this fall.
And yes, some of the content is going to require a PREMIUM Season Ticke Subscription (the highest level)... here is what to know what will be free and what will require a subscription.

The Florida Power Rankings Index will have a permanent home on FloridaHSFootball.com right here at this link: https://floridahsfootball.com/the-florida-power-rankings-index/

Nulli Secundus reacted to Joshua Wilson in Updates on FloridaHSFootball.com
    HELLO EVERYONE!
I know it has been a while since I posted here, but I have some updates—and this is actually good news!
    1. I am in the midst of girls' flag football season, which, as you might know (unless you have been sleeping under a rock), has been taking off across the country, Florida has been the leader of the sport since the late 1990s, when Palm Beach County launched it as a club sport, and it has only grown since and is on the verge of becoming a Division I sport. I've been generating more content this season than any other platform for girls' flag football in Florida, and I am pretty proud of it. Also, my partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Jaguars PREP helps bring even more focus to what is going on with the sport.
    2. I dumped the app... yeah, please, no one ever suggested to me having an app again. First, they are a money pit, and unless you have a dedicated digital team, it really can bog you down it became my Achilles heel. Second, they don't bring the revenue they promise unless you have millions of fans (maybe I am exaggerating some, but you get the point, right?). Third, there are some other things I want to say, but I won't but always trust your gut. Being circled and talked to by someone on the outside was the worst.
    3. Dumping the app leads to this point: I should have never gotten rid of subscriptions, but I did launch the app, and honestly, that helped the site. Well, the subscriptions are back (in a bit different format), and so far, it has been a great thing in the first month!
So, as far as the subscriptions go there are two different levels, both charged on a yearly basis:
    • Premium Season Ticket - $59.99
    • Season Ticket - $39.99
You can view more about what each level entails here: https://floridahsfootball.com/membership-levels/
Yes, there is an unlock 24-hour ticket, but not everything will get that, requiring one of the two levels mentioned above.
So why is there no monthly option? Honestly, it costs more to maintain a monthly option because of the potential of having to track people down if they have a failure with a credit card on payments. Having a yearly option only for both levels give me a streamlined process of who is going to renew once a year and which month, and it is easier to track down. The 24-hour ticket also doesn't require me to do much and allows people access to select content without creating too much hassle.
    4. New content is going up almost daily—yes, there is a lot of content on both sides. The tackle and flag are going up almost daily, including history content! I will create a new post with content to check out, and I might create a weekly thread of published content so you all can check it out!
    5. Sponsorships are now Partnerships. I took a hard look and realized this might have been one of my biggest downsides. I want to partner with those and have partnerships with companies and businesses that believe in the power of high school athletics as we do. Ultimately, it is already working, as the Florida Coaches Coalition approached me a few weeks ago after some controversy stirred up on the socials, and I ultimately landed a multi-year deal with them. This is not the last, and I have some pretty ambitious plans to grow this. You can see more here: https://floridahsfootball.com/partnerships/ | You can also view our Partnerships Media Kit here: https://floridahsfootball.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/2025-Florida-HS-Football-Partnerships-Media-Kit.pdf
    6. Live Shows—We're Working on getting those back on and might even reformulate what we do. I would like some insight into whether you all like the regional shows or would rather see one statewide show that has different things for the different regions. You can leave me your thoughts in the comments.
    7. Additional Writers and Internships - I have already brought on Christopher Lyke, the original Founder, and Editor-In-Chief of TexasHSFootball.com, before he sold it almost a decade ago. I have been friends with Chris for a long time, and he will do exceedingly well helping us out. As a matter of fact, Chris is the one who helped us get the forum software we have now years ago, and it has been great! As for internships, applications are opened and accepted on a rolling basis, so if you know anyone at the high school or college level looking for exposure, please send them over to this link: https://floridahsfootball.com/inside/internships/
I think that is all I have for the moment. Feel free to ask questions! Thanks!

Manatee will get boat raced in this matchup so I hope they get something out of it like a payout or transfers in that makes it worth the embarrassment.

I may be a bit ignorant to the transfer rules, so please excuse me for that, but I do not know if it so much buying players. We all know recruiting goes on, but to my understanding, schools do not have to offer jobs or rent out a residence in the school district anymore for a kid to go there with school choice. If a kid wants to go to a school in another school district, they just have to apply during the school choice window, and if there is a seat available at said school, they can get in. Now, at these schools, most available seats most likely go to athletes and we all know why. How schools fudge that or legitmize it, over a student who wants to go there purely for academic reasons, I have no idea. I will just bring it back to the recruiting aspect and possible NIL money. That is my understanding in how it works. Please feel free to enlighten me if I am wrong.

It wasn't just the ineligible player which he was the fall guy for. It was the illegal scrimmage moreso that did them in when that their star db broke his leg and missed his senior year that did it. His mom sued got paid ALOT. Funny everybody assumes Central would've beat NW in playoffs because they won by 3 points in regular season. A game that came down to the wire. Look at heritage and norland. Vikings won in regular season and were blown out in playoffs. Nobody knows who would've won that playoff game.

Gadsden Co better tread lightly this offseason because teams up in the Tally area are snitching about them recruiting. Wouldn’t be surprised if something comes out on them soon. I mean you don’t go from laughing stock homecoming opponent to championship level power in one season without some funny business going on

See that Orlando Conference vs the Miami Conference would be more ideal.  However I doubt any of the Heartland schools would be opposed to playing either.  And we have to start somewhere.  Ideally I would hope to see some of the small town schools in Central/ North Florida form a league because of similarities in tradition, fan base, ect.
Something I'd like to point out: Hardee, Desoto,  and Okeechobee might have larger enrollment numbers but we also have a large migrant population that inflates those numbers.  If you look at our roster size, usually we only have 35-40 on the team, similar to a lot of 1A schools.

This will be the first time since 1957 that Wimauma has a high school.

From 1950-1957 the Wimauma Wildcats played football in the Tampa Bay Conference with teams like Brandon, Largo, Pinecrest, Turkey Creek, Brewster Tech and St Paul’s.

In 1958, East Bay opened in Gibsonton and all the kids from all over Southwest Hillsborough County went there.
