Hi guys, let's remember this is a high school football forum and this specific thread is regarding 2024 schedules, let's please keep it to that and be respectful to others, even to those who we may dislike or disagree with. I thought we're all grown adults here, but you two are acting childish by calling others names and saying they have a low IQ, I'm not saying you have to like PC Gridiron but at least show some respect, PC Gridiron is very knowledgeable about Polk County football and does a lot to help and promote high school athletics in his county. Yes, Kathleen has been awful the last several years and I agree with you they would have lost to most JV teams in the state, but PC Gridiron is still technically correct by referring to them as a large school, Kathleen is Class 5A compared to Victory Christian who's Class 1A. By the way, I'm not going to name names, but I know several people who have either been banned or quit this board and promised to never return, but are still on here under different usernames. Everyone, well a lot of programs want the instant notoriety that comes with of playing OOS.  There was a time when those games happened between neighboring states that were close in proximity OR perennial powerhouses that had something to prove against other powerhouses.  Now it's a free-for-all and it severely diminishes the worth of those games.  I can respect Coach Castle for knowing when to risk it and when to sit his ass down, lol.

There's no sense in chasing pots of gold at the end of rainbow without proof or people willing to report "alleged" misconduct.  Investigations cost money and those Max Preps checks only go so far, lol.

See, I knew not being able to play 8 home games this year would come back to haunt Venice.

I'm here for the conversation and that doesn't mean we have to agree all the time.  Healthy discussion never hurt anyone unless you're a P**** .
It's funny you mention 2010.  Just last week, I was thinking why in the world did the FHSAA pick 2010 as the baseline starting point for the m/s/r agenda.  Looking at trends, the scales tipped in favor of metro counties in 2002 but really exploded when the state went to 7 classes.  Like you, I have a day job and didn't take it any deeper than that.  It's all a numbers game, lol.

My answer to this question is pretty simple:
If IMG is willing to play by the same rules as all other FHSAA member schools, whatever those rules may be, then, yes, they should be able to compete for a state title. 
If IMG is not willing to play by the same rules as all other FHSAA member schools, whatever those rules may be, then, no, they should not be able to complete for a state title.

Nulli, I did think about that.  I actually started going back to the FHSAA archives to look at the scores from the state playoff semifinal games playoff games (going back to 2010).   And then I remembered that I actually have a day job. 
In any event, we may just have to respectfully agree to disagree on this point.  I think that's still allowed . . . even on message boards. 

Listening to that last meeting, it sounded like most had a shot of IDGAF.

Well, I know that I, for one, can go to bed tonight and rest peacefully knowing that no coaches, assistant coaches, handlers or other representatives of any Florida high school football program will reach out to any of these players or their families to 'discuss their options.'   
 

Burden of proof will continue to be an issue especially when the language has never been updated to include social media.  Have evidence, REPORT IT!
