What happened to MC this season is the inevitability of all teams.  Sooner or later, the mighty do fall.  How far and how fast remains to be seen.  The sun rises and sets on all programs and many will experience dark, stormy weather along the way.  To answer your question, it's hard to become the team to beat and even harder to maintain that status.

Whew, it was fun while it lasted. Now I can just enjoy the games with no pressure . Congratulations to those of you that advanced to the next round. Good luck to all.

@Beek This could be the Lord telling you that all you did at Poinciana is done, and your ministry and leadership is needed elsewhere. I have no doubt in my mind you will land on your feet somewhere that will greatly benefit from having you.
