Looks like Cardinal Gibbons, Jones, Palmetto, and Trinity Christian will be out. 

CG is out because they don’t have any impressive wins. They barely beat bad teams. They were getting the “South Florida” benefit of the doubt, but struggling against St Pete Northeast, and not having any good wins, equals you gotta go!
 
Jones is obviously out for being 1-3. They played good teams, but when you are towards the bottom, you can’t afford to keep losing and expect to stay in. You gotta win one of them at least, and they didn’t. 
 
Palmetto was a struggle for me. They played a really good team. I don’t really hold too much against teams that lose to really good teams. But they got handled with ease. And their claim to fame is a 1 point win against a team that was overhyped in the preseason (even by me). I looked at the 4 teams entering, and felt they have a better resume right now. But it’s razor thin. Palmetto is number 26 if I made a list go further 
 
Jax TC is obviously out for being 25, and losing to an 0-3 team. Bolles did lose to 3 quality teams, but 0-3 is hard to shake and like I said when you are at the bottom, there is no room for error. 

I guess you will have to find out by getting your picks in after 5:00. 

Why do they always struggle against Bishop Moore? I get the rivalry aspect but that would motivate both teams. That’s the game that always makes reserved in the beginning on Edgewater. I was thinking Jones was more battle tested. It was one of those picks where I want to pick Edgewater and then Jones wins. Lol.

I saw the first half live. Despite poor video quality late in the 2nd, I saw enough to determine that Palmetto was outclassed both offensively and defensively.
My own thoughts are that under normal conditions, Columbus wins this game by 4 scores or more. 

They will be out. I think the issue is in the preseason when we don’t know a lot, but you have to make a list there are always contenders and pretenders. Homestead made the title last year and gave STA a dogfight, and returned a good group. So Homestead was ranked high in the preseason. So when Palmetto beat them, it was perceived as a good win at the time. So they got extra rewarded for what was perceived as beating a quality team. The ole bait and switch. Lol. 
 
Columbus is really good. Right under the elite teams. They are the first team out of the elite group. But they are right there. So Palmetto losing to them is expected. But you have to be somewhat competitive. 

Dominated Osceola better than Treasure Coast and Jones. About the same as Seminole.
