Rockets gonna show out again and WIN! Miami runs FL

we definitely put on for florida! they could be the 5th team in dade to get a natty. only city in the country with multiple natty teams if im not mistaken. only blemish i can view from here is img cause its so early in the season but that may be to centrals advantage also. ofcourse once they see my bulls in the playoffs whole different story but we just gotta let it play out.

Bro, stop! You KNOW the Rockets are gonna smash IMG! They will be fielding their worst team in their short school history. Rockets 28 Ascenders 20

aye brother if you like it I LOVE IT LOL. lets hope venice wear em out first

Venice might actually beat them just because it’s a preseason game. Weird things happen in the week 0 preseason because although the game doesn’t matter for rankings, teams try to run new plays/ formations to try to see what works for the regular season.

IMG is going down Week 1 for sure. They have basically a brand new team because they were all seniors last year, and on top of this they have been bleeding talent all summer. Miami Central’s team were all sophomores and juniors last season and they still finished as the number 3 overall team in the state, though I would argue that they deserved the king’s crown at #1 over Venice. It’s pretty damn scary to think of how much better the Rockets will be this season with all of their returning talent and the transfers they have received.

Plus, I know you guys are still hurting over 2017... you guys had them man, you HAD them. They just snuck away with the victory at the end. I doubt that happens again. Like you stated earlier, it’s the season opener, and I think Miami Central is going to do enough to win because of their familiarity and continuity in their o-line and skill positions. But it’s not going to be sweet, MC is going to have to work for it. But when the smoke settles and the clock hits 0:00, I think the Rocboyz will be traveling back to the 305 with a shiny dub!

Soar Rockets Soar!

venice with a mostly discipline game can beat them forsure. something similar to 2013(i think) american heritage. seen those guys run thru an elite schedule last year no hiccups. this maybe the year the giant falls in state. it will be fun. It’ll be a party on 95th street if the rockets bring that dub home tho no doubt. i hear they play chaminade also so more fun

Lots of great matchups, I  hope the rockets come out firing week 1 and show the world they aren’t playing around when they put IMG down.

    • I seriously can't remember how many times I had to do that very thing. Like Nolebull said in another discussion, the kids know kids from other schools and where the "hot hand" is. I never entertained discussions with kids or parents of kids from other schools. I know we lost some good ones because of it but I am ok with that.
    • In a single word, "no." In a lot more words, see the following: (From 2023-24 FHSAA Handbook) 36.2 GENERAL DEFINITIONS 36.2.1 Athletic Recruiting. “Athletic recruiting” is any effort by a school employee, athletic department staff member or representative of a school’s athletic interests to pressure, urge or entice a student to attend that school for the purpose of participating in interscholastic athletics.   and this . . . 36.2.2 Improper Contact. “Improper contact” is contact, either directly or indirectly, whether in person or through written or electronic communication, by a school employee, athletic department staff member, representative of the school’s athletic interests or third parties, such as an independent person, business or organization, with a student or any member of the student’s family, in an effort to pressure, urge or entice the student to attend a different school for the purpose of participating in interscholastic athletics.  See Policy 37.    In fact, if the kid contacts the coach at another school, the coach is not supposed to communicate with the kid other than to refer the kid to the person at the school responsible for admissions.    Best I can tell, there is no exception for being able to reach out to a kid who plays a sport that is not offered by the school that the kid currently attends.  Perhaps there should be . . . but then you'd really be opening Pandora's Box.
    • So you are not allowed to talk to a kid who is not an active football player currently attending a school that doesn’t have a football team?
    • 1.  Ask around and get the kid's phone number. 2.  Call the kid.  3.  If that doesn't work, DM the kid.  4.  Once communications are established, try to convince the kid to come to your school.  There may be other ways, but I think this would be the easiest way to recruit a kid .
