Alright everyone. This game is somewhat flying under the radar and I think it could be a great game, or a blowout. I am currently watching Godby's game with Suwanee from last Friday. Man alive that QB and RB are good for Godby!

Was Suwanee's D just a bad matchup? Or is Godby just that good at running the football because if they are I think they will give AH-P some big times problems. 

Suwanee's DL just got destroyed on nearly every play and having seen American Heritage on tape once this season(I'll watch their semi-final game vs Bishop Moore next) it looks as though this could be a bad matchup while the Patriots are on defense.

On offense I think the Patriots matchup overall well with Godby, although they matchup well with almost everyone in the state on offense it seems. 

What are your thoughts?

I've seen Godby this season. They came over and played Trinity Christian earlier this season. We won 28-13 They looked solid but sometimes Trinity isn't a good measuring stick. We had a monster defense this season so there was no running around all over the place. But if memory serves me correct they were definitely a solid team. (As evidenced by where they are)

I've seen Godby this season. They came over and played Trinity Christian earlier this season. We won 28-13 They looked solid but sometimes Trinity isn't a good measuring stick. We had a monster defense this season so there was no running around all over the place. But if memory serves me correct they were definitely a solid team. (As evidenced by where they are)

I think Godby could win this and if they play like they did last Friday in Live Oak they could win it by a couple of TDs. The OL was in sync, QB and RB were both on fire. QB was making excellent reads on the read option.

Well I haven't seen AHP so it's hard for me to call it. BUT I have seen Godby. They have some kids that can play. As does any team at this point in the season. There is always talent in Leon county so I'm sure this will make for another great matchup. Shoot, if they look anything like you describe STARaider then I'd take Godby.

 

Btw, STARaider how is it you are seeing all of this "film"? If you don't mind me asking.

I'd actually be interested if they showed things during the season as well but not sure they do. I'll wait on some you to provide some info. I appreciate it sir.

You don't even have to have an account I don't think, but if you do the account itself is FREE and you do not have to pay to watch games after the fact. 

 

See other thread. Thank you sir! Good to know. I can form a better opinion actually seeing teams for myself.

      There is 1,750 kids in the school. That would be their fault if they can’t field a team of 40-50 players. I know it sucks about the mass exodus. I get it. But even though they won’t be competitive for the time being they should at least have enough varsity players returning, JV kids, and newcomers to field a team.    They should have had an assist at coach resume spring workouts, and maybe got in on a jamboree with lesser teams or held an inter squad scrimmage. But to cancel everything seems a bit erratic

      From 2018-2021 when Dillard was one of the top 5 teams in broward we got there because on the beginning we schedule within our actual talent on the field, we showed success that we are atleast a avg program being able to take care of business against avg and below avg teams. And with the right personnel we can become above avg and actually contend.    and with that came a undefeated regular season in 2019 with a regional final birth, a undefeated COVID season in 2020 and a Fri county championship and a 1 loss season in 2021 and a second round exit on the road to homestead.    dillard has to get back to that. But scheduling central, chaminade , sta and etc of back dropping each game by 40 is not gonna help the program.    you can say “aye atleast we scheduled them we didn’t back down” like I’ve said several times on here lol. but there’s no moral victories in football. You either won or you lost.

      I wouldn’t say okay with it because wether they was on the schedule or not I’m bleeding blue & gray all day ready for smoke with which ever team were lining up across.    but as a former player & coach I also understand that when you’re a second year head coach taking over a program that haven’t seen a deep playoff run since 2019 and over the last 5 years they’ve played chaminade 5 times (0-5), norland once (1-0) Central once (0-1) gibbons once (0-1) & on top of that you have a mass exodus of players after the coach before you left ; you have to build your program back up to a contending program before you try to schedule the big dogs of south Florida.    for EX: last year Dillard at STA, GIBBONS & chaminade on the schedule went (0-3) and each lost was by over 20+ the sta loss was 58-0. But those games had to be played because of the last year of the contract.
