I agree with Darter in terms of the current rankings and the decade-long trend with Palm Beach falling off a bit. Tampa remains consistent. Orange County has risen (see previous post).
I disagree with Darter in that DP and Apopka have three large class titles in six appearances over the past 8 years. That’s major top-2 consistency. Plant/Armwood is a very close comparison, however (DP and Plant each won two against each other in the playoffs from 2011-2014)
The most drastic change, to me, is the fall off in the Bradenton-Manatee area and the typical powers out of Tallahassee. They were far above Orange County in the 90’s and 00’s.
 
Based on those five I’d go:
1. Miami-Dade
2. Broward
3. Orange
4. Hillsborough
5. Palm Beach
 
Miami & Broward are tops, easy.

My team was in the same class as Palm Beach Gardens. 
They beat Boone 21-7 in the second or third round, a team we lost to 17-14. We probably would have played them had we beaten Boone for the district title. We ended up losing a district tie breaker.
6A had a ton of parity in 2005. Reflecting back it was probably one of the weirder years of all time, especially in CFla. Lyman and Winter Springs were both good that year.
 

The top 3 are very solid. Could all be #1.
Seminole is a risky pick as I have their QB as a potential breakout player.
Mainland will sneak up on us with young talent. 
Osceola, West Orange and Boone are all “high ceiling” teams to me. Osceola will maintain it’s level, West Orange is on an upward trend and Boone was sold to me by our friend Darter. In addition to his analysis, I have noticed an upward intermediate trend with Boone since they left the DP district.
Winter Park is a clear dividing line between all of the teams above and all of the teams below. 
I expect all of the teams on this list to contend for playoff spots.

I noticed that I have zero Lake County teams ranked. Anything I’m missing?

Since Brevard is not included, I’ll include my top teams from there as well: Cocoa, Rockledge, Viera, Palm Bay

Rivals and FlaVarsity are both in horrible shape. Yahoo acquired them and that obviously is a disaster.
Their recruiting database is a joke. Surprised people still go to that site.

The game was moved to Wednesday because a long time administrative dean passed away. She was well known by many players. Her funeral is on Thursday. 

I just want to go on the record and say that if you have inside information about high school coaches paying players to transfer to another high school, it is obvious that your sole responsibility should be to report it to the FHSAA.
These are kids.
The FHSAA will be informed, at a minimum, of what is allegedly going on at Southridge.

6’5 class of 2020 QB Brenden Cyr transferred from West Orange to Dr. Phillips.

The reason I have Wekiva ahead of DP is because DP’s oline is a big question mark and Wekiva has an elite elite front 7.
That’ll be a huge factor this year when they play.

DP should be very good again. The defense returns most of its core. 
The offensive line needs major work and it's still not certain how we will be at QB. There is an upcoming sophomore who did well on the JV team last year.
The offense has a ton of skill players at WR, TE and RB which is a major strength. 
Brandon Fields (RB) is one of the top class of 2020 backs in the country and was behind Alford, a senior, last season. He could surpass 2000 yards rushing this year and will be a force for any team to deal with. He will carry the offense.

I have no problem with the message in the article. I do suggest, though, that the current world economic order which has led to the export of manufacturing jobs from the USA to Asia, Mexico and other lower cost countries is also part of the problem.
A full time job ought to provide enough income to sustain the basics of life. I know more than a few individuals that need to work two or more jobs to do so. This leads to a neglect of any children in these households.

did you not read my post lol.  West Orange still would be 9 and OC University 5-4 would have been in over Spruce Creek 8-1 and Spruce Creek beat OC University by 15 late in the season.
