Approved Ruling / Interpretation A teammate taking or stripping the ball from a runner in order to advance it is considered assisting the runner. The act of grasping the ball carrier or the ball itself to gain yardage is illegal unless it is a legal handoff or backward pitch initiated by the runner. As stated in just curious about this if the play should have been called dead right there. My thoughts exactly, I work in the oil and gas industry and was at work watching this with some of the guys last night and was just telling them how another area team (FPC) had just blown their game in like fashion. The more I think and read about it the more I would like to see someone else take the helm. I think alot of the assistants are solid and don’t want to see them all leave I.e. I love coach Motta, but I also would love to see someone like one of my former teammates I played with at Vero, Zo Phillips take the reins.

I’m trying to not let my emotions get the best of me lol. Yea, right now if he were let go it wouldn’t bother me either, the amount of talent/athletes we have is a big reason we got that far not just coaching and I do think other coaches may be able to utilize them better. Sadly we did have a lot of seniors that really made this team special that won’t be here next year. My facebook feed is also blown up with fire him/worst coaching ever comments all over the place. You’d think he would have learned from how FP Central lost earlier in the playoffs with there kneeling that cost them. Proud of the boys regardless, thy gave it there all.

Pretty much what you said Ray… no idea what he was thinking, but he did get us that far. Don’t want to run him out of town or anything like that, but I do feel poor play calling cost us the game.

I don’t think they’ve had a really good team since around 2012-2013. Them and Vero used to have some really good games, Westwood as well used to be solid. Then politics got involved and both of those teams had revolving HC’s for a while sadly.
