The Time Has Come , The Game Everyone Has Been Waiting For , The Game I’ve Been waiting for ; This Game Right Here is Gonna be OVER CAPACITY!
you have TWO teams less then a 5 min drive from each other, neither team needs a introduction BOTH are storied programs.
STA - the raiders come in (7-1) putting up 340 points so far on the year, giving up only 104 , their only lost was to a undefeated jesuit team on the road.
Dillard - The Panthers Come in (7-0) they have won 30 consecutive regular season games, they have scored 320 points on the year, giving up ONLY 7 points, posting 6 shutouts in 7 games.
STA is #1 in 7A
Dillard is #2 in 7A
STA is ranked #15 Nationally
Dillard is Ranked #85 Nationally
it’s almost for certain these two teams are gonna meet again in a few weeks, but for THIS WEEK, I just want panthers to go out their & leave it ALL on the Field & Most Of All COMPETE! & Who Knows We May Can Walk Out Brian Piccalo With A Win, I know one thing The SUPPORT is gonna be there OVER 1500 Panther fans have put down they will be in attendance, PER DHS alumni association group. LETSSS GOOOOO PANTHERS! @DarterBlue2 @VeniceIndiansFootball @nolebull813 @ColumbiaHighFan2017class
I've been waiting for this game all season. I couldn't decide whether to talk trash or keep it civil, LOL. These are high schoolers we're talking about. I have my own person feelings about this match so I do my best to keep it above board. Will it live up to the hype? I don't know. What I can say is Dillard has an opportunity to add their name to a very short list teams from a historical aspect. Historical, you say? Not many teams defeat STA and even fewer manage a victory at Brian Piccolo. I'm pulling for you! Follow your game plan and keep your composure. Then when they least expect it, follow the instructions below:Dillard, repeat these actions and you will defeat St. Thomas

He wasn't a student-athlete, just a student, LOL

Liberty High School experienced a lockdown on Sept. 16 with supposed armed student later to discover no weapon. Sad, but sign of our times. When I attended Osceola in the mid 60's students showed up with rifles in racks in their pickups every day and nothing ever happened; just part of the culture and no one felt threatened. Today?? Well, I'll just leave it at that.
Yeah, times have changes. A guy a knew at Lakeland that showed up with a rifle in his rack as well. He was promptly arrested and expelled from Polk County in '93. He ended up at Plant City.

I hadn't heard the story or seen the video. Here's an article that probably sums it all up: https://www.theledger.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2021/09/29/winter-havens-tate-resigns-head-football-coach/5923528001/

Of course a lot depends on how they rally around the interim coach. Between that schedule and having the coach resign in the middle of the season, it's been a rough Fall for WH.
Yeah, I saw the video. Criminal charges pending, smh.

Forecast for the Gateway game was spot on as it was a laugher, but last night Bloodhounds squeezed by Winter Haven for a 6-0 start. Things will get a lot more interesting/difficult for the next three weeks, so anxious to see how they navigate that part of their schedule.
Yes. It appeared that Winter Haven had control for most of the game. However, Auburndale was able to pull out the win and that's all that matters.

After going back and actually looking at all the seasons, 2014 was not the last time Auburndale started 4-0. It was actually 2019. My eyes must have been tired. Anyway, their 3 losses were to Winter Haven and twice to Lake Gibson.

Auburndale unbeaten. 4-0. Nice win last week vs Bartow. Yes the other 3 teams they’ve beaten are somewhat pedestrian.......I like to celebrate teams with good seasons out of the top 30!!!!
First 4-0 start for A-dale since 2014. With the Bloodhounds taking on Gateway for homecoming, the Hounds have a great shot to go 5-0 for the first time since before I started keeping records almost 25 years ago.

I know of one incident that occurred in Florida with a big city school in a economically depressed area that lost a playoff game against a district rival that was similar, but not as extreme as this situation. This is unacceptable, and Coaches School Administrators, and many others should be punished. The Officials Association might consider cutting ties with this school and ripping up the contract. Any official who refused to set foot on this school again would certainly be justified in my view.
What do you think the punishment should be for the Coaches, School Administrators, and many others for the CRIMINAL act of False Imprisonment? What's next, hate crimes against refs? LOL.

Probably disgruntled fans that have no affiliation with the school AT ALL. Damn.

The phrase "stay in your lane" comes to mind. The emergency lane. For a county that large, the results have been less than stellar for decades, sadly.

horrible. And this isn’t just the Disney event playing garbage teams. Flagship programs like Apopka, Edgewater, Dr Phillips and Bishop Moore are a combined 2-11.
Are you surprised? Orange County isn't the flagship in the state of Florida. Did you expect better results OOS?

Impossible to stop kids from talking to other kids or guys just wanting to transfer to bigger programs/winning problems. What they need to crack down on are specific things that coaches do
1. If being paid or a volunteer coach, you can not be part of an all star 7s team. Do one with your own team.
2. You can not run a sports based summer college tour like a side business and take kids from other schools.
3. You can not follow players from other teams on social media. A few do it for the right reasons. Most do it to plant the seed even if they never say a word.
Public schools are just as guilty for all the above #4 more private
4. Stop allowing private schools to hold clinics and showcases on campus. Public schools are told that if they even mention their sports program to 8th grade visitors it’s a violation.
I don’t even know if these are enforceable in anyway, but they seem to be the most common forms of recruiting that lead to transfers that I see outside of kids just talking to each other.
What!? I've been out of school for damn near a quarter century and obviously a lot of rules have changed. I remember vividly myself and even my friends from other schools where that was a common practice not only at the high school but at middle schools for incoming students at feeder schools.

Someone please refresh my memory. But wasn't the catalyst for all this freedom of movement the Florida legislators, in particular a Polk county one at that ? I forget many things these days, but fighting Tallahassee would seem to be where this must start if one wants a different result. And good luck with that in the current days of personal "Freedoms" trumping anything that could "possibly" be good for the masses.... #anoldcynic

Dillard opens up district play against Cooper City who comes in winners of 2 in a row after getting blasted by in week 1 by stoneman Douglas.
for those who remember Cooper City is the team that shocked STA @ STA for the district title a few years back.
Dillard comes in only allowing 7 points in 3 games with a lack luster offensive performance vs A Solid Miramar Team Last Week ; The panthers Made Their First national ranking debut in over the past 20 years last week As they look to get to (4-0) & push their regular season win streak to 26 in a Row. @VeniceIndiansFootball @561_Fan @DarterBlue2 @Jullian
SCORE PREDICTIONS: I’ll say DILLARD 42 COOPER CITY 3
Maybe I'm wrong (and I can admit when I am), but I don't ever recall CC being a formidable opponent in football. Anyway, this SHOULD be a blowout. I would be disappointed if Dillard allowed 10.

Top Five Possibilities:

4. Someone said something about somebody else's mother.
3. Someone got disrespected about something.
2. Someone snitched on somebody else.
1. A girl.
It's 2021, a completely different generation. It wasn't a girl.

I believe Maxpreps took their rankings off of Calpreps Ratings. CP uses ratings instead of rankings. CP also has a more in-depth rating system than others. CP does tend to rate California teams higher though.
One thing Calpreps use to do was have composite rankings from all the sites on their site. Maybe I'm overlooking it or maybe they discontinued that option. I have my crazy days but I know I'm not crazy about this. If you remember or find it, chime in!

This Dillard High Football team has manage to do something NO! Dillard high football squad has done in over 20 years , which is become nationally ranked.
as many of you all know I have been Dillards biggest & most avid supporter and fan on this board & we’ve had a lot of bad seasons & disappointments ; so to see how far we’ve come it brings tears to my eyes.
it’s still a LOOONG season but to be ranked #95 in the ENTIRE nation says a lot about our program, sure it’s NOT Top 10-50 or 100 but dammit DILLARD FOOTBALL is here & we’re BACK. @ColumbiaHighFan2017class @Jullian @VeniceIndiansFootball @muckboy561 @561_Fan @nolebull813 @DarterBlue2
Congratulations! This is only the beginning. I hope the Panthers roll all the way to the title game.

Interesting, which is more credible maxpreps or calpreps ??
I honestly can't answer that question. In all my years, I've never used Maxpreps for anything so I wouldn't be able to give a fair assessment. However, based on the fact that they can't get schedules correct, I wouldn't put too much stock in that. However, I'll also say go with the site that has you rated the highest, real talk. It always looks better at the end of the season.

Oh wow never heard of calpreps, I just went and checked them out.
Oh yeah, they've been around for a while. Some things are spot on, some things are way off as with any site. It is fun to project matchups though.
