You're going to need something better than the NFHS Network version. I watched it there and the camera was blurry and zoomed out a mile. Right before the lightning delay, with Lakeland at the LW one yard line, there was a fight deep in the endzone. No clue who was involved, but may have been OL Maldanado. He was apparently benched last week and was pissed, so perhaps he took out some frustration. I wonder if the ejections will produce suspensions for next week at LG too.
Thanks for the heads up! That way I won't get pissed when I can't see anything, LOL!

Information on the following games may be available to those in communities throughout the state, but everyone needs to keep in mind, we have one place where we have been instructed to get our football results..... Max Preps. Whoever is responsible for reporting, game results, postponements, cancellations. MUST keep MaxPreps involved. We are supposed to be a premier state when it comes to high school football. Those responsible for reporting game information need to pick up the pace and let the rest of us know what's going on. Anyway, as of 8:15 am, Max Preps had no results for these games. Let's get it together people. Some of us can't wait around until next week to be updated:
American Heritage (Delray Beach) vs Dade Christian Belen Jesuit (Miami) vs St Brendan Boca Ciega (Gulfport) vs Largo Boynton Beach vs West Boca Raton Centennial (Port St. Lucie) vs Martin County Clewiston vs Labelle Coral Shores (Tavernier) Palm Glades Prep Douglas (Parkland) vs West Broward First Academy (Orlando) vs Orlando Christian Prep Forest Hill (West Palm Beach) vs Inlet Grove Fort Pierce Central vs South Fork Freedom (Orlando) vs Lake Buena Vista Frostproof vs Okeechobee Glades Day (Belle Glade) vs Jupiter Christian Jordan Christian Prep (Auburndale) vs Out-of Door Lake Worth vs Spanish River Sneads vs Graceville Somerset Silver Palms (Miami) vs Somerset SASH Homestead South Broward (Hollywood) vs Piper South Dade (Homestead) vs American Space Coast (Cocoa) vs Titusville Suwannee (Live Oak) vs Hawthorne Vero Beach vs Viera Jordan Christian Prep 32, Out-of-Door 6

I was also there when LW beat Lakeland 26-14 in 1995 at LW. Rough night, Highlanders were too quick for that Lakeland team and Jeff Chaney had a big night!
The Ledger did an article about that '95 game, LOL.

If Lakeland is really a contender in 7A, they'll need to win fairly comfortably. The way that would happen is through controlling the line of scrimmage, which they should be able to do. But, lots of penalties and/or fumbles could negate all of that. I think we'll have a dogfight and I'm not sure the young Dreadnaughts are ready to dominate a good team on the road. I'll take Lakeland 20-6.
Of all the games on Lakeland's schedule, Lake Wales bothers me the most. Even more so than LG. Granted, the Highlanders being 2-0 is hardly an indicator for the entire season. Albeit rare, history has not gone in Lakeland's favor when traveling east within the county and playing Ridge teams with a decent record.
2001 - District loss to Haines City (7-3) 2-0, ended 60-game winning streak
2012 - District loss to district winner Ridge (9-3) 7-0This Friday marks 20 years since Lakeland lost the streak against Hornets. Although they're not playing HC, schools along US 27 amongst the oranges groves were not only notorious for throwing oranges at busses and fans, but shocking the hell out of Lakeland when the Naughts least expected it. Nothing is more dangerous than a team with nothing to lose and everything to gain. This is statement game for both teams and it will come down to who executes, limits mistakes and who wants it more. This game will also begin to paint a clearer picture of the top teams in the county on the field, not on paper.
Other county losses:2013 - District loss to district winner Kathleen (9-3)
2015 - District loss to Bartow (5-5) 26-25
2016 - District loss to Kathleen (5-4) 14-7 -

No one talking about Lake Gibson losing on the road to Lowndes?
That's no insult, but that team full of talent (from across Polk) is now 0 and 2?
The season is still young. The Braves will be fine as I would easily rate them in the upper echelon of Polk teams. They should have won that damn game though.

What's everyone's thoughts on this game?
One team that's Orange and Black with an L on their helmet will still be undefeated. Let it be the Dreadnaughts!

Did they get it right? You be the judge.

LOL, that's messed up. The website is loaded with deplorables, 'necks, ignoramuses (some being all three-See: Nolebull 813), and some decent, educated, left leaning, upstanding citizens, like myself At my age it's about as much entertainment as my heart can take. My bar is set pretty low.......
Your bar has to be low to be a Wildcat!

They have 2 5* DBs including Sam McCall who's a FSU commit I believe
Lowndes gave up 34 points at home to some school called griffin
I think Lake Gibson can win that
Griffin, GA is just south of Atlanta. They're far enough away from the metro to be considered country but close enough to reach all the big city amenities, LOL. Average team for most part. Griffin was able to score more points this season than last. That may not be a good thing for Lowndes. LG historically finds ways to win on the road. This game may define the rest of the season for the Braves. If they don't win on Friday, they're really going to catch hell in Polk County.

Just read this short article:
Or, if you want the Reader's Digest (or in this case, Twitter) Condensed Version, here it is: "This is what happens when ESPN gets duped into airing a high school football game between the most talented team in the country and an online charter school nobody has heard of, went 0-6 last year, and lied about its roster to get on TV." And this didn't even include the most telling aspect -- that IMG's opponent played another game two days prior!
Who's responsible for this fiasco? ESPN? Paragon Marketing Group? Bishop Sycamore? IMG?
IMG was actually the vic(tim, tor) looking to play a game and continue to increase their exposure. That lopsided affair could have involved any number of highly talented programs across the nation and the outcome could've potentially been just as ugly.
BS (Bishop Sycamore, not the other BS although it applies) self proclamation of personnel for the sake of boosting their own reputation should have been caught. Again, where were the checks and balances? Has anyone on this board been able to tell an institution of higher learning that you achieved a certain scores on the SAT, ACT and give them your GPA and actually have those institutions take you at your word to gain admission? Hell No! All that stuff has to be verified from trusted verifiable sources. Enter ESPN and Paragon. They are both guilty of lack of due diligence in a rush to get ratings while overlooking obvious red flags caused this debacle.
I'll end with Awful Announcing. As I skimmed the article operating on just an hour of sleep, I initially thought Awful Announcing was a reference to awful game announcing, not the actual name of the company. I laughed my ass off. I'm still laughing.....
All this could've been avoided with a quick google search. -
Oh, my ultimate surprise of the week goes to Madco. If a few missing players means you can't score and stop the opponent from scoring, they don't need to play up in class.

Sarasota 19 B Collier 16 (Sailors lol)
Clay 21 Fleming Island 14 (upset???)
what’s your surprises?
Definitely LG. I wouldn't have guessed that outcome in a million years especially with all the chatter about which team will run the city of Lakeland. Maybe that the shot in the arm the Braves need. Better to lose early than late.

Starters were pulled to start the second half, Dillards defense and o line are just dawgs tonight, although against weaker competition so I’m not bragging by far.
but it’s great to see us bounce back and show our resilience on the road vs a rival, which was never a easy game, we actually lost 8 consecutive games to them going into the 2017 year.
Congrats on the win!

Diversionary tactic. We won't appeal to your ears but you can watch instead, LOL! If you don't play an instrument or at the very least twirl a baton, stay your ass off the field! That's for you @Dan in Daytona
