First I want to express my apologies for my absence the last few months. Without going into much detail I have had some personal life struggles I have been dealing with on top of figuring out the direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com in. Things have finally settled out some over the last few weeks although I am not completely out of the woods just yet.
Some of the decisions about what direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com have been forming over this time while I went through things. Part of me wondered if it was time to go, but really it is not at all.
Thankfully, a loyal supporter near me in Gainesville decided to put their mouth where their money is and did a little investing and today FloridaHSFootball.com launched its first-ever Mobile App. With that said it comes with the sunset of the MVP Membership Subscriptions and thus FloridaHSFootball.com will be 100% free for the first time in a while. This comes as needing to get the clearances with Apple and Google and the current subscription platform we have is not syncing with Apple's system nor with the App itself. Its best we go in this direction to grow fans again and being able to put them facing forward with an app on their phone going forward.
Here are the download links for the apps:
iOS (Apple): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/floridahsfootball-com/id6477621728 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floridahsfootball.app&hl=en_US&gl=US   For now the forums will not be available directly in the app. At some point I maybe looking at changing the whole forum software that could eventually integrate into the app. It will be a while before this happens so things will go on as they are here.   I also apologize for any of the spam and troll accounts that have managed to find their way around the security protocols in setting up new accounts. It seems every day these things find ways to pass through control systems. I am going to be looking at getting this solved and will keep an eye on things here as we go along.   Please feel free to reach out to me if you all need anything, want to chat or have any suggestions.   -- Josh

I like the match. An entire COUNTY against a small little Catholic school. Toss up.

And that first round matchup between Chaminade and Franklin County would be compelling.

Hey @Floridaatlantic1 . This idea has been floated a couple of times on here and I thought it was interesting. How about:
Instead of Metro/Suburban, public/private, transfer-based classes, or even promotion/demotion, the FHSAA broke the state into only 3 parts. North, Central, and South. Put all of the South Florida juggernauts into their own classification and let them play for 1 championship. Combine the North Florida rural schools and let them play for one championship while Central Florida combines to one class and plays for the final state championship. Playoff seeding will be determined by districts comprised of no fewer than 4 teams as well as SOS. At the end of the season, the winner of the "North" classification, would play the winner of the "Central" classification. Afterward, the winner of that game would play the winner of the "South" classification. And for once, we would have one "true" undisputed state champion.

It seems like a lot of turnover at many positions in that school. New coach needs to rent some apartments for players and give some 100 dollar handshakes to make it in today Florida  high school football.  Oh wait, no one recruits illegally here in Florida... my bad

KeemD321 reacted to Floridaatlantic1 in Bad Press Is Good Press...Right?
No, all the recruiting cheaters say that no school in the entire state ever illegally recruits. Its just a coincidence that a school gets like 15 transfers in one year. Then that team pummels teams in same division that dont cheat and everyone cries when we say bump them up.

For example if Class 1 has 20 teams eligible to move up, but class 2 only has 15 teams eligible to move down then all 15 move down, and the 15 teams in class 1 with the highest winning percentage would move up.

You could even bump teams up and down based on winning percentage.

After 2 years, teams with a .750 or higher would have to move up a class with the cap still being 125 teams per class. Teams with the highest winning percentage above .750 would move up first and so on.

Same with winning percentages of .250 or worse. They would move down with the worst percentages moving down first

If you cut the classes to 4, that’s 125 teams each class. 500 teams. The rest are independent SSAC teams etc.

125 teams divided into 16 districts is 7-8 teams per district. No issue. Travel and scheduling would be easy breezy. Most games would be local and keep the rivalries fresh.

Playoffs would be an animal. The districts would be so big, and the classes so small that it would be highly unlikely that a garbage team makes the playoffs. Maybe one here or there but nothing like it is now.

Classify by enrollment. Maybe multiply privates by 1.5.

    Let’s figure it out

I've said it before and I'll say it again:  I'm OK with an open division, but the teams in the open division should be determined before the season starts and not at the end of the regular season just before the playoffs begin.

That claim requires evidence. It may or may not happen in some places. You can be certain that a school like St. Frances in Baltimore pays good money. Why else would kids pack up and leave somewhere like Central Florida to live and play in the 'hood of Baltimore for a "school" that doesn't have a home stadium?

All the recruiting deniers here should read this article. Of course if they win a million games, TFA with all their new found transfers should never be bumped up to a higher division because that would be punishing winners.

Their district didn't do them any favors as far as SOS. Those 3 games positioned where they are will help. But I don't understand putting Satellite as week 1. Eau Gallie and Viera are county rivals. But Eau Gallie is having an exodus of players and have a few coming in. Mainland was supposed to be on the schedule but that fell through. Mainland almost had a tour of brevard lol. Schedule is underwhelming but trying to be optimistic. I see them winning their district easily but losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs honestly

ALL programs wish to attract as many good players as possible. Yes, even including your team(s). Some are more appealing, and thus more able to attract players than others.
