Both teams will make deep runs in their respective classifications. With that being said:
Booker T. Washington: The turnovers are an obvious thing to look at. AHP is stacked at every level of the defense, particularly line and secondary, but it felt like BTW completely abandoned the running game in the first half. Silvera (99) and Chatfield (9) for AHP are studs on the DLine, but you have to give some semblance of the run or that secondary will suffocate you, no matter how good your passing game is. If BTW can limit the turnovers and run the ball more than they did tonight, the offense will be fine. They're definitely a finesse offense but the QB is solid and the WRs are playmakers. Thornton (4) for is nice.
Defensively, BTW did a pretty solid job holding AHP in the first half. I didn't see the first AHP touchdown but the second one, the BTW corner just stopped his feet and the AHP ran right by him for a deep touchdown. BTW's defense was stout in the second half, but they gave up the dagger touchdown right when they needed another stop the most. They're fast but they can be run on. 
Overall, BTW's schedule will test them a lot but they'll be fine. They turned the ball over like 5-6 times and still lost by two scores. If they even only turn the ball over 2-3 times, they probably win the game.
American Heritage Plantation: Offense didn't impress me like I thought they would. Schwartz (10) can fly, but the offense as a whole seemed out of sync from when I got there. They have some teams on the schedule that they'll dominate just because they have more talent, but to win the state championship or win in this tough first five games they have, they must be better.
The defense is legit. They let up points in the second half but I'll give credit to BTW for not giving up. It will be tough for most teams to pass on them. Too much talent in the secondary and the pass rush will overwhelm also.
Overall, AHP is really good. I don't think they're 15 points better than BTW but turnovers can do that. It wound up being a decent game. Both teams will go far in the playoffs.

BTW's defense is holding AHP pretty well. Those turnovers have been the difference. Idk why they keep trying to throw against a secondary with so many blue chippers. As I type this, BTW throws another pick. 5th straight possession with a turnover.

The Herald covers Dade and Broward, Sun-Sentinel covers Broward and Palm Beach. PB Post covers Palm Beach exclusively. Most of the online-only publications seem to focus on Dade and Broward though. Not sure why. But no one covers all three counties that I've seen.

I'm not at the game but from what I know, Miami High has improved a lot with the new coach and transfers in. But HML is pretty bad too. Gonna be a long season for them, especially since they're back in that 6A beast district

Update: I spoke w/ a coach from Coral Reef. He said that Mourning tried to cancel but their AD wouldn't let them. So that kickoff classic is still on.

I've heard through the grapevine that A&T Mourning cancelled its game vs Coral Reef.

Idk what their exact record is but Wellington's non-district is pretty tough. Royal Palm Beach, Park Vista, Vero Beach, Dwyer and John I Leonard. And the district itself should be fairly competitive.

I don't think anyone could rule out recruiting kids from IMG.  Maybe I should have said "rhule out".  It would simply be irresponsible to leave that big of a talent pool untouched.

Somehow I think IMG will survive this. All the other FBS schools + the FCS schools are still knocking doors down. Mighty presumptive of Rhule to think big time recruits want to go to Baylor like they got it like THAT.

I think Western will have better coaching than Dillard. So that helps. Having athletes isn't the be all end all. On top of that, Western has gotten in transfers this offseason as well, one I believe is at cornerback where they sorely needed it.
Western's defense won't be as good as last season's in my opinion but the offense will be better. For you saying that Miramar was down last year (seems like you're excusing Western winning), Western was still the underdog in that game and went to Miramar and won, no matter how many points they won by. I don't get this whole using how a team was 3-4 years ago to determine what they are now. Even looking at last year's team can't give you a total sense of what they'll be this year.

I don't see Dillard doing better than 2-2 in the first four games. They could start 0-4, but I think they'll probably pull out at least one of em. I've spoken my piece on the Western game so we'll see what happens there. I think a 6-4 record like last year or 5-5 is likely.

Ah ok. Well if they go 3-2 in the first half of the season they should be very happy.
