Vero is looking strong as ever. We won our spring game jamboree by beating two teams handily. We have a new QB who is looking pretty good, with a couple of excellent wide receivers. As usual our defense  was very tough allowing only one touchdown between the two other teams. And I know coach Jankowski will keep his winning ways going!

Great news, Grace was to follow Fred's track but today they changed the track to the other side of the gulf!
 

The storm whatever catagory is expected to hit Florida Thurday-Friday 19-20.So we have more to worry about besides Covid. I need some football, I'm tired from being stuck in my house!

Akeem Dixon- Vero Beach running back 2013-2017 recruited by Syracuse. Akeem was a true fullback that could make his own holes and then kick in an extra gear and outrun the entire secondary. He was one of the best running backs Vero ever had in recent years. He scored 36 touchdowns during his tenure. Then one day I read that he left Syracuse but nobody ever said why. Just curious, does anyone know why?

Maurice Smith, Jr. transferred from Fort Pierce Westwood to Vero Beach and has shown plenty to become a force with his strong arm and athleticism. Vero won both their jamboree games easily and QB is a great fit!

Here you go again, knocking Vero Beach. You think it might be because  Vero kicked Venice's arse 42-20. Doe's this mean,you think Venice is a cupcake team that Vero scheduled? Any coach that schedules IMG  or STA knowing their recruiting practice's needs their head examined. Those teams are morale busters, not measuring sticks.Our playoff loses come in the 3rd round of the playoff's,which in itself is quite an accomplishment.And without a doubt coach Jankowski is a offensive genius!

The battle of the two best teams on the Treasure Coast and surrounding area takes place this Friday. TC brings in the highest scoring offense in the area(45 points per game) while Vero brings in the best defense in the area(allowing only 3 points on average per game)( on average Vero is scoring 38 points per game).These two teams provide a classic battle every year with plenty of D1 talent. Both teams are currently undefeated and Vero is still on its 64 regular season games winning streak!

Vero's coach has not announced that we are playing Venice yet. But I hope it happens!!

Vero will not be down this year. I don't know if you read the article, but Vero has got three highly recruited players on the treasure Coast's super 11 roster.  Yes and thanks to the FHSAA  schedule, Vero will have another undefeated regular season!

If there is any ignorance being demonstrated here I think it might be by somebody other than me. Over the course of evolution we have been hit with many new virus's and have developed immunities for most of them, and that is what we are doing right now, developing immunities to Covid19, except for the weak and unhealthy. We have hid long enough, its time to get back to living almost normal lives. Our young people have to get back to work before we totally destroy our economy. I'm 78 years old with diabetes, being overweight, and two stokes, a totally high risk subject. I had my flu shot in the fall but I still contracted the flu (or covid19) in the last week of January while attending a high school basketball game. I'm still alive and ready to go to a high school football game.

If we follow your plan to stay in our houses till we are safe from all future threats there will be no future football and probably no United States. The depression of 1933 will be kid stuff compared to your plan. We will become a third world country ruled by China.  We have a new strain of Flu Virus every year and we don't have vaccine's for many of them. Heck, one of us may go out and cross the street and get run over by a bus, or may die in a head on crash on I-95, or get hit by an meteor! There is no way we can predict the future, and there is no way we can stay locked up in our protective bubble for the rest of our lives. Let's get out there and return to normal quickly and take another chance like we do with every other situation we encounter in our everyday lives!!!

What your all forgetting, Vero has coach Jankowski, who puts it all together every so called "down year". Our defense will be very strong, and I mean strong.  On offense we have our starting running back McMillian back with a couple of good wide receivers. We just need that mysterious quarterback to walk on the field. I have not followed the JV quarterbacks, so I don't know what we have coming up the ranks.

Looks like Vero lined up correctly again !

Vero started off slow with a close win over American Heritage, but in the last couple weeks we have dominated over Chaminade and now we have dominated over Viera. The defense  has always been there but the offense has finally come around. We have four excellent running backs, which two are wide receivers. We are top RPI seed in region 3, and possibly the overall top 8A seed in the state. We will have home field advantage throughout the regionals. I expect Vero will have a deep run in the playoffs.
